Worst place ever! They normal get my order right but it always takes to long. But today they didn’t even get my order right! I waited a good 5 mins to order and then another 15+ before I got ONEDRINK! The ppl next to me got there food before I got my drink, I’m never going back to this one again! I’m beyond pissed.

Employees don’t know the menu OR the recipes for the items that are pictured on the HUGE menus in the stalls. Don’t waste your time or money. We threw ours right in the trash.

The worst Sonic anywhere. I drive past this one and 15 minutes out of my way to avoid going here. The best thing I can say about this location is that they are extremely consistent about getting your order wrong. I ordered a small cookie dough blast, no whip cream. What I GOT was a small plain shake(no cookie dough) with whip cream. The huge piece of plastic I found in my cup added to my irritation. Twice I’ve come here during normal business hours(think 4 pm on a Thursday) and they’re closed. What the hell? I swore this Sonic off for life after several failed visits but happy hour was coming to an end last week so I decided to try one more time. I ordered a diet strawberry limeade easy ice. Not rocket science but too hard for these people to figure out. I got a regular limeade with so much ice I could barely put my straw in. Go anywhere else but here!

The worst, rudest, Sonic ever. They actually told us an hour prior to close that they don’t serve ice cream anymore. A bunch of inexperienced, lazy and rude workers. Management definitely needs an upgrade.

As other posts mention, the drive thru is always closed. The service is slow, and they never get the order right. My family enjoys sonic, but not this one. The Sonic brand is being hurt by this location.

This place is so awful. They take forever, always out of ice cream(really!), drive thru is closed, food is cold, service is rude, they don’t respond to you when you push the button for 5 minutes or more. I hate that this sonic is so close yet I will drive 20 minutes away your avoid it.

This place is a joke… It takes forever to get them to respond to your request for service if you ever get waited on at all… Push the button so many times you think it’s broken and move to a different spot. Then the drive through takes even longer. If you go through drive through and look inside at glass door the place is dirty and they are always goofing off… Worse service of any place I’ve ever been. I even think they are closed but there are people inside goofing off… I wonder if the management has a clue that people wait 10 – 15 minutes and leave because they are not waiting on people…

Love Sonic, just not this one and only location. They are very slow at taking the order and after 20 minutes of finally getting your order. It’s cold and the food seems like they just threw it in the bag. I ordered the chicken strip dinner. It only came with 4 tots and no gravy or bread. I am very dissapointed. Please fix this location because I love Sonics food just hate the service at this only location.

I waited nearly 40 minutes for my food to reach me this afternoon, thus prompting my writing this review. I didn’t order the entire menu; just a couple of corndogs, a small order of tots and a small drink. First, they didn’t have any Dr. Pepper — this will have been the second time IN A ROW they haven’t had Dr. Pepper in my experience. Second, I waited with more patience than I should have for my food to arrive. When I did, the bag was crumpled and greasy, like it had been sitting for awhile and never got around to actually being delivered. The tater tots I ordered? A grand total of 5 sat in the cup. The Coca-Cola I ordered to replace the absentee Dr. P was nearly void of ice. I didn’t receive a discount for having my entire lunch hour wasted, though I should have. My recommendation: DONOTCOMETOTHISLOCATION.(EVER!!!)

It is normal for a place known as «The Drink Stop» to not have ice or straws frequently. .. Right? I love sonic drinks and come to thIs location about once a week as it is so close but the service here so incredibly bad. I would say average wait time for a fountain drink is 10 – 15 min. Additionally, it’s not uncommon to get the wrong drink. I am amazed that nothing has been done to improve the quality and the service at this facility. It’s worth taking the extra time to drive to Georgetown instead of using this location!

First off the highest I would ever give a national fast food chain restaurant would probably be 3 stars. This location gets 2. I’m not sure if it is due to being short staffed, but the drive thru is rarely open. They usually put up signs making you go into a car hop which I would prefer not to. This leads me to my second complaint which is that the service here tends to be on the slow side. The food quality seems to be the same as any other Sonic, no better, no worse. With so many other food choices along University Blvd, it is rare for us to come here, and with the wait times it makes it even less appealing.

Unfortunately this place sucks ! This was the first time that my family and I tried Sonic’s. We wanted to see what all the hoopla was about. Taking my order was a task in itself as I had to repeat myself three times, please keep in mind I do speak perfect English with no accent. We ordered three meal combo’s and the Cinnamon desert that was the best thing out of all of them. It took them at least 30 mins to completed the order and it looks like most of the comments below are spot on. There was even another car behind us that left before he got his order… I probably would have done the same. I would suggest that you stay away from this place until there is better management or avoid it all together and go to In & Out instead. More then likely I wont be coming back.

I feel like I could have driven to another Sonic, gotten my food, and then have been back at this one in the same amount of time it took them to get my order(one drink and one hot dog) out. Skip this location if you have anywhere else to be in the same day.

Seriously I think I could have made the food faster myself! Not busy at all, it seems like its a bunch of high school illiterate kids working here, maybe the manager needs to rethink training them all. I waited almost half an hour for just a sandwich I didn’t even get a sorry about the wait from anyone. If I could give it 0 stars I would!

Terrible, terrible service. Always a long wait and something wrong with the order. Waited 20 minutes for a cup of water after having pressed the button a million times and switching lanes and the drive thru is always closed because they are too lazy to serve or not enough staff???

Been to this location several times and NEVER had an experience true to Sonic’s good reputation. SO — where to begin? Bullet points… –Both lanes of the drive thru were blocked off last week when I arrived. Every single slip was taken so I waited for one to become available. This creates an interesting traffic scenario, as well as irritated customers. –Ordered a dish of vanilla ice cream(a regular staple menu item) and was told they have no such thing. I laughed and ordered a cone instead. –On three seperate occations in the last month, in different slips, the button on the menu was pressed and the display indicated someone would answer. However, no one does, they just answer without speaking thus turning off the display message. — In one instance I said aloud that we would just leave as we were short on time(after repressing the button and waiting again) the male voice suddenly asked for our order having clearly just been listening to our conversation and not offering any assistance. Apparently he finds this funny. –In another instance we re-pressed the button three times and each time the display was turned off at some point. Not worth my time to stay. We did just drive away, order unplaced, and took our money with us. There is a convenient store next to Sonic, attached in fact by the parking lot. While sitting in the slip waiting, staring parched at the building next door — we realized that a slush/icy/slurpee/cold-frozenish beverage could be purchased quickly at half the price NEXTDOOR. Clearly corporate needs to make some anonymous drop in visits, read Unilocal,and clean house. There are obviously some management issues and some employees who are uninterested in fulfilling Sonic’s mission at this location. Oh and BTW dear reader, I was told at another Sonic that the shiny new order kiosks at the Austin area Sonic’s cost roughly 6K each — so I suspect Sonic is interested in customer retention. However, said fancy menu board is useless if the employees play games with them .

Decided to go for a couple of slushes during Happy Hour. I then remembered I also had a free birthday treat coupon to redeem that was on my phone. I ordered a medium Lemonberry Slush, a medium Lime Slush & a free 14oz. Strawberry Cream Slush(birthday coupon). Pretty simple order in my opinion. He repeated the order correctly back to me. The employee told me my total was $ 3.38. That didn’t sound right to me, but decided to pull up to the front anyway. Showed the employee the coupon off my phone, he then yelled back to the employee making the slush«to put cream in the strawberry one». He handed me the correct Lemonberry one, then handed me a small Lime slush, I told him that it was supposed to be a medium as well. He said he could fix that, which he did. I had to then ask for a receipt because the amount just still didn’t seem right considering the two slushes were at half price & the cream one was supposed to be free. He finally gave me the receipt. He charged me half price for all three slushes, what happened to my free birthday Cream Slush? I told him, he charged me for my birthday slush & all he did was say he charged me half price for all. I left after paying, not wanting to argue any longer because my kids were getting embarrassed. After looking more at the receipt when I got home, I noticed there was a number that I could reach the manager at, because I felt that incorrect unprofessional service should be reported to someone. Well, I dialed the number & the same employee that was in the drive-thru answered the phone, that’s when I decided to write a review on Unilocal instead. The main reason I am writing this review is because several of my neighbors in the huge subdivision across the street have complained that this particular Sonic location can never seem to get an order correct the first time. Well unfortunately after giving them a try, I have now experienced it myself. I think the franchisee needs to wake up & train their employees correctly or hire more staff because I have a feeling they will be losing a lot more business if they don’t get their act together.

Update: After my post on 6÷17÷15. I DID receive a phone call from Troy, and I DID receive a gift card in the mail today, in the amount of $ 10.00. I DID give the card to someone who needs it. And I WILL keep my word and WILLNOT go to Sonic again. The loss of one customer might not seem like much to these young people that run the joint, but the cost of OBTAINING a customer(business minded people know this amount) is quite costly.

I should have read reviews before stopping at this one! Horrible wait time! I waited over 15 minutes for a slush! WTH! I called to complain and Brandon, manager, said it was due to lack of service personnel. But what I didn’t tell him that the car next to me pulled up after me and had a food order and received their order right before I did. Incompetency and failure to take blame for a screw up. Won’t be going back there!

Slowest wait ever! I ordered a large sweet tea at 7:32am. Still nothing at 7:45am. I pushed the button again to make sure it was coming and nobody answered me so I left at 7:56. So unprofessional and definitely not FAST food service. This is not the first time that I’ve had issues with this location, but I figured it would be a quick stop for a drink and I was WRONG. Will not be giving them another try and will make sure I tell everyone else the same.
