Why people think this place is good tex-mex is beyond me, hell taco bell offers better tasting food. Has anybody heard of taco cabana, especially if you live in Texas. I went one time, we ordered the fajita platter, two crunchy tacos and a bean/cheese burrito. The beans were on par with the generic canned brand, meat was way salty and chewy. The crunchy tacos were decent but that is about it. The salsas were bland, does not compare to taco cabana salsa bar much less to other local ones around town. The staff was friend and that is a plus but the company food is just not good. Seriously people, how can you think this place is any good unless you think mexican TV dinners are the bomb.

Cold food, wilted cilantro in the salsa bar, dirty tables, only reason I can’t give it a 1-star rating is that the food is so cheap(I’m a firm believer in you-get-what-you-pay-for). I’m not one of those Mexican food snobs either — I’d give your average Taco Bell 4 stars just for being among the best of the big Mexican-inspired fast food chains. Taco Bueno is no Taco Bell unfortunately and its definitely no bueno.

This is my second time visiting location. I wanted to order the Fajita platter(steak) but they were out of beef, really? So I changed my order. I will say that the food tasted better the second time. The only issue I have is that when you go through the drive-thru they put the big platters in this plastic bag and they hand it to you with the platter tilted. At times you have to check that the top is even on there tight, but even when it is on tight your food sure will end up on one side or at the bottom of the bag as soon as they hand it to you. I would suggest investing in paperbags that way an patron doesn’t have to receive their food handed to them sideways. Now I did notice a difference between the weekly staff and the weekend staff. With the weekend staff, typically younger, you have to ask for condiments.

Over this place, I have been trying to allow them to just do their job and for years yes years that always manage to get my order wrong. I went through the drive through this morning and did not find out that my Oder was wrong till I go to school. Then I call to complain and let them know the mistake and they hang up. If I could give this place a negative star I would.

Wasn’t that good. Had a «big ol burrito» and it wasn’t that big and the steak was weird. Chips were oily and queso was off. I was the only person in drive thru and ordering was very fast at peak lunch hours.

The worst experience I’ve ever had! We ordered took 2 bites of our food and threw it in the trash! I wouldn’t even have fed it to my dog, it was that bad!

More like No Bueno, amirite? This score reflects the average of my last two visits here, and I will not likely be back. Today I ordered a sausage and egg breakfast taco(was disappointed they didn’t have chorizo as an option and did not seem to know what that word was when I inquired). Everything was lukewarm temperature — eggs, sausage, with unmelted shredded cheese encased in a cold and flavorless flour taco. No salsas were offered. Blech. With so many other options around here, I’m kind of surprised they are still in business. Then again, so is Taco Bell …

I don’t know what has happened to Taco Bueno. It’s as if they are telling the employees to put only a few tablespoons of beef in their crispy tacos. They used to put a healthy portion of taco meat in their tacos, but not anymore. They are also very thin, and have more lettuce in them than anything else. What has happened? I grew up on them years ago in Georgetown, and then, in Dallas, and they were good! Not anymore. I have tried them twice in the last month, but I won’t be going back to this location. It has gotten bad. They employees are good, But the way they are making their crispy tacos is not.

We have been back to Taco Bueno a couple times since the first and I think I like it more each time. Employees are always friendly and attentive and the food is always good. I would recommend it.

Hmmm, should be called Taco Mal. I wish I had looked up the reviews on our way there, but we were coming from a long day in Austin and were pretty hungry. We wanted to try something new. We should have gone to Del Taco instead. Ok, it was dirty, our orders were incorrect and I had to get my tea from behind the counter(very little ice in it). For $ 19 and some change we should have gotten 4 Domino’s pizzas! The kids split a 5 for $ 5 deal and got a small taco, nachos with beans that my daughter didn’t finish because they were gross, some sort of chicken burrito with tater tots and cheese sauce(again neither kid wanted to eat that mess), a small cheesecake dessert and a drink. My son liked the cheesecake thing and said the taco mead wasn’t greasy. My husband’s platter was missing his guac, tomatoes and chips! I was missing my tomatoes and for my 50 cents extra for sour cream, I got ½ T. My husband, who pretty much eats anything, didn’t finish his beans!!! Save yourself some trouble and don’t go to this place!

I don’t think they want any business. The drive thru sign is on flashing open, there are people inside, plus hours of operation are until 1am, yet upon arrival to the intercom they said they were closed. Guess I won’t be returning.

Not at all«Bueno». The place is filthy. I was there during a «lull» between lunch and dinner and it was not busy. Bored and lazy employees stood around at the back of the food prep area chatting. No one was wiping down the tables in the dining area(which ALL needed it) and no one was refilling the toppings bar area or wiping the mess down. The food prep area was disgusting with cheese and toppings everywhere on the counter and floor. My tray, when they handed me my food, was slimy on the edges where I had to hold it. My food was no better. Chicken was full of gristle and there seemed to be accidental black beans in it(chicken rice bowl). If it is meant to come with black beans, they gave me about 2 beans. If not, some snuck into my bowl. It was my first time at a Taco Bueno but I’ll never come back to one.

I heart Taco Bueno! It may be the nostalgia because I lived off of TB in high school in Plano but there’s just something about a Party burrito, chicken potato burrito and side of queso(to dip your Party burrito, obviously). Sometimes if I’m feeling a little crazy I’ll get a beef muchacho. Please never change, Taco Bueno.

I’ve tried to like this place because it’s so close to my house. The only thing that is decent are the bean and cheese burritos. I wouldn’t come here again for anything else. The hubs likes their taco burgers as not many other restaurants make them yet. I used to work at a store within walking distance and a manager from T.B. was visiting our store and was venting to us about how he doesn’t understand why no one goes there and how fresh their food is and why does everyone go to Taco Bell instead. While I do appreciate the fresher food option, I just can’t get over how bland everything is. Also, maybe it’s just me but their tomatoes have a chemical taste to them as well.

So I was passing by and wanted a good little snack and decided to give them a try. Got the loaded nachos. The service was very good in the drive through and I drove away happy. When I opened the box is when the frown came. Things were slopped about in there and it did not happen from transport. But it was when I tasted them is when real disappointment set it. The nachos were stale and chewy. I took two bites and threw the entire thing away. Two stars is for the friendly service only.

Terrible breakfast tacos and generally terrible food. I have tried it three times and have been disappointed every time. This is a last resort and Taco Bell has better quality food.

My husband and I were looking for a quick bite to eat and decided to check this out. We had never been to a Taco Bueno before and found that they have very good affordable fast Mexican food. I had the«Big Freak’N Nachos» and couldn’t finish it all. I love the fact that they had Sobe Lifewater in their soda dispenser. They have catering options and fundraising for groups. We found the quality of the beef and the guacamole to be better than other fast food places that serve tacos. We will definitely go back again sometime. They also gave us a 10% senior discount, but you have to ask for it.

My family and I recently visited Taco Bueno to catch a quick lunch after a movie. The cashier was really friendly and our order was accurate. The reason for the low rating is that the food tasted really bad. My daugter ordered two bean burritos and told me they tasted like«water.» After trying her burrito I simply wrapped them both up and tossed them in the trash. I wouldn’t even feed my dog these excuses for beans. I’m not sure if it was an «off» day or if that is how they usually make thier beans. Never again will we eat beans here. After this experience I doubt we will ever be going back.

How happy were we to discover a TB so close to us? SOHAPPY!!! We missed them from when we lived in DFW. So yay for us! Yeah, they are fast food. No, they’re not high-class fancified Mexican food. But they are also not Taco Bell! My meal here is simple: bean and cheese burrito(I recommend adding the chili sauce to the burrito) and the chips and queso. Simple and tasty. And filling for me. This particular location is nice and clean. We’ve been here a couple of times and have had good experiences both times. =)
