Great place!!! I’ve known about cocohodo for a few years now but I’ve never lived close enough to one to REALLY experience it… Until now ;) First of all I’m very picky about my matcha and this places kills it with their matcha smoothie and latte! Although the name is slightly strange — «ice blended matcha» it tastes amazing and yes I order it with its menu given name as awkward as that is. I’ve tried a few other drinks they are pretty good as well but I’m sticking with the matcha because I’m boring and I don’t like change. :) I’ve yet to try the waffles but I’m so tempted every time. The walnut pastries(what they’re known for) are very delicious! They are also very reasonably priced. The filling is yummy and there’s a lot of filling. It might get too sweet if you have too many.(guilty)… But you can always pace yourself and save some for later. Last but not least, the service. It’s been great every time I’ve gone. They are all Korean and don’t speak that much English but ordering isn’t really a problem. Last time I went this young guy with glasses helped me out. He also told me he can rest the wifi if it doesn’t work for me. Yeah… It didn’t work but I didn’t wanna bother asking. I figured it doesn’t usually work since he even offered to rest it… Anyway I’ll be back and back again. :)

Came here in a Saturday afternoon. The wait is so long… It takes 30 minutes for them to make a house coffe and an iced tea… And there are only 5 customers in the café. The wifi doesn’t work at all!!! Please avoid this place of you want to use wifi here… This place really sucks…

I don’t know what others are saying about this place having no Wi-Fi access. I have been coming here on a weekly basis(weekends) and have always been able to log on to the net to do my work. It’s a neat place. Parking is rarely a problem, but be weary of backing out in this plaza. Workers are friendly and so is management. Food and drinks are good. It does get kind of loud at times, but you’ll most likely be wearing headphones anyway, so it’s not too much of a problem. tldr; everything you need in a study café.

This location is quite easy to find. It is in this little Korean plaza and there’s plenty of parking spaces in the lot. They have a seating area for you so you can come here and enjoy their well known pastry and coffee with your friends. The walnut pastry– with red bean filling and a piece of walnut in it. It is warm and fresh(they make it the day of) and is a very popular snack in Korea. I find that similar to some Chinese dessert with red bean in it(sesame ball) I really like it and I had before in nor cal. The location is clean and the staff are nice. The cashier was recommending their iced tea series and I was thirsty so I opted for a mango iced tea… However, the iced tea taste nothing like mango in it and was just bitter tea with ice… I shouldn’t have gotten it lol. When I mentioned it to her, she said its like that cause it’s unsweetened… But there was really no mango flavor in it whatsoever.

Love me some red bean paste and a walnut surrounded by a touch of cakey flour. This is the kind of dessert that doesn’t make you feel awful when eating it. Pairs well with their perfectly sweet Coco latte! Daughter loved her macarons!

FOOD — 2 stars It was my first time in this place. I ordered the Green Tea Shaved Ice. I wouldn’t say I liked it but I didn’t dislike it either. The shaved ice came with nuts, which I asked to be removed before I paid but when they gave my order the nuts were there. I told them that I wanted the nuts removed which they were accommodating to do so but I chose not to because I didn’t want to trouble them. I also ordered the Cocohodo, which I personally didn’t like. People have their preference in food and so do I. But if you ever do come to this place, don’t hesitate to try the Green Tea Shaved Ice and the Cocohodo. You might end up liking it! :) But for me, it’s something I wouldn’t want to order again with nuts or without the nuts. CUSTOMERSERVICE — 4 stars The environment was clean and organized. Also, the workers were friendly and nice. However, it would have been better if there were more than two workers. It would have made preparing and serving the orders to customers a lot faster.

The four stars are for the macarons! They really have great tasting earl grey macarons! I also tried their raspberry macarons, which were also delicious. Great place for a coffee and some sweets to fulfill that sweet tooth of yours!

When we look at the name, we thought it’s a Japanese dessert place, but we were wrong. It’s a Korean style coffee shop with their signature walnut pastry. We ordered a mini box, around $ 6 you got 12 little walnut shape pastry which were filled with red bean paste and a small walnut. I like it warm and it’s not too sweet. It’s a good idea for a gift to friend’s house. They wrapped the box nicely. It’s not expensive yet taste not bad. We will try their fruit mojito next time.

This 2-star rating is for my(trying to) study experience here. I’ve been here once before for a get-together with a friend several months ago, and that was when I first got introduced to their tasty walnut pastry and relatively unique drinks. Since then, I’ve been looking for an excuse to come back and viola, it shows up when I Unilocaled«best places to study in Rowland Heights» so thought I’d give it a try! Well, this was certainly a disappointing experience, primarily because the WIFIDIDN’T WORK! I think it’s important that Unilocalers know this before coming here, spending $ 10 on a drink and pastries, ready for an afternoon of work, only to find out that they can’t. But wifi aside, the walnut pastries we got were also not as good as last time — lukewarm at best. We bought too many; hopefully the microwave will help once we bring them home. I ordered a yogurt smoothie, not wanting to have caffeine, and it was okay(though a bit pricy, ~$ 4.50). Probably the best part of the experience, relative to the pastries and the wifi. All in all, maybe I’ll come back … but certainly not to study here.

I love bingsu so finding such a gem in my area is awesome! I do with the ice was a tad more«shaved»(compared to Hooshik) but other than that it was delciious! I love how all the creations come with a great amount of toppings(whereas other places are an «either» «or» situation.) The walnuts are a great addition and the red bean was graciously topped!

I came here because of pictures on Unilocal and instagram. Food: I got the green tea shaved ice as well as the green tea waffle. For some reason, I was expecting more from this place. I thought everything was very basic. My boyfriend and I ended up messing around with our food after a few bites because we got really sick of how plain it tasted. Service: Really nice cashier. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place to my friends nor would I feel the need to come back. **Totally great for pictures though!

We ordered coco shaved ice and 9 pcs of warm walnut pastries. The warm walnut pastries go hand in hand with the coco shaved ice, which we enjoyed very much. The place was good in décor and the restrooms were clean. This place could also be a great place to study, hang out, or a date. Recommended.

So I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my friends to catch up, and we ordered: Small green tea shaved ice– pretty good! Nothing special Sea salt coffee– disgustingly sweet :( Walnut pasty– Get this! It’s filled with red bean and a walnut. The total was about $ 10(I got 3 walnut pastries). The place isn’t too big or small, and is decorated very cute! The strange thing about this place was it was crowded with older generation Korean people… My friends and I actually had to sit at the high table because every other table /chair was taken. It’s really odd that a place I would otherwise think is for high school students and up to hang out at was filled with 50+ year old people: O The food was just okay… And my friends are I felt a little weirded out with the crowd there, so we ended up leaving. The place is located in a small Korean plaza, but parking is usually not too hard to find. I don’t think I will be back :(and if I am, it’ll only be to drop by for a walnut pasty

Came here to study on a Sunday afternoon! I got the Coco Latte(even when I asked for less sweetness, it was really sweet! I ended up drinking half and filling it up to the top with ice again haha) There was a decent amount of seating, but it can get pretty loud(multiple groups of older people came to socialize for a couple hours at a time), so it wasn’t the most quiet environment. However, wifi is really fast and the workers were nice! :) Probably a better environment to catch up with a friend or something

My friends and I noticed this little joint after our dinner and I wish I saved some room for dessert. Unfortunately, we only ordered the walnut pastry and called it a night, but I am definitely coming back and making sure I have room for dessert. I didn’t get a chance to try their shaved ice and waffles, but their walnut pastries are so delicious! FYI — I am a huge red bean fan. The walnut pastry is stuffed with a red bean paste + a walnut. Perfect amount of sweetness and fluffy, warm cake on the outside(the pastry looks like a walnut shell). This type of dessert reminds me of those chinese dessert carts outside of supermarkets where you get to choose your filling(cream, coconut, red bean, etc.) and they serve it right on the spot. Parking — located in a small plaza so parking may be limited

Berries… berries…berries My heart’s desire on a cool night searching the city for a raspberry smoothie. Out with my diabetic hold on my body. I sought to please my berry desires which overwhelmed my mind. I couldn’t help myself as I pondered slightly until I saw my specialty listed above. Sitting at the table, admiring the cleanliness of this place, what took minutes, appeared to be so lengthly a time. At last, my desires were quenched as a very energetic smiling employee brought my craving desire. Off I went into the sunset immensely sipping away every last drop.

This spot took a little while for me to find, but it’s in the same plaza as Café Bene. It’s a cute, quaint spot with a good amount of seating. From what I’ve noticed, many people order to go so you won’t have to fight for a seat. Downside is that there aren’t too many outlets so hopefully you’re lucky enough to grab a seat next to one if needed. I love the way they plate the drinks. They’re put on these wooden trays. I had the ice blended green tea latte which was awesome. My teammate(I came here to work on a group project) ordered the Asian puffs with red bean inside them are they were so fresh! Super light, steamy, and sweet(like I like my men JUSTKIDDINGLOL). I would definitely come here again to study or catch up with friends over a drink or snack. Prices are reasonable and workers are very friendly.

So my friend and I were looking for a place to study at on a Sunday night and we came across this cute little café that provided free wifi, plug-in outlets, and delicious treats. I ordered an iced green tea latte, but my order came out late. The staff was nice enough to offer me free walnut pastries because they felt bad that my order was delayed. The iced green tea was delicious but a bit on the sweet side. Too be honest it tasted like a sweeter version of a Starbucks green tea frappé. It was still good though! I would probably come here again to study because the café provided a great ambiance with the workers, customers, and the cute DIY décor.
