Closed!!! :(Temporarily or permanently? This sucks because all the new restaurants within walking distance don’t open till noon. I am stuck in th is part of town for a while with an empty stomach, I won’t settle for Dennys.

**CLOSED*!!! It says temporarily closed due to some kind of internal adjustment whatever that means. It was not good anyway. I was only coming here for OJ. Go to Bread Farm located at 168 Market down by Azusa where Daiso and 85C is. I love that new Asian market and bread place.

NOOOOO. So the bread quality hasn’t been the same and they got rid of the samples. They sometimes have random specials, but you have to go there and find out when you arrive. It’s not the same anymore, so I have totally stopped going. Maybe one day when I’m in the area, I’ll come back but not gonna go out of my way for it nowadays sigh. Customer service is still good and there’s tons of places to study inside, but merpa herp derp. I don’t even see some of the breads I loved anymore :(Gotta work with their schedule! Back to 85C.

Omg every where I go I love when places have employees with outstanding customer service. But what I love the most is quality. This place has both! THANKYOU! !!

I saw their Mini potted Tiramisu and I just had to try them and they did not disappoint! They weren’t overly sweet and almost melts in your mouth~ Maybe I’m over exaggerating it but it’s definitely worth a try~ My family and I also tried some of their breads: –The Milk Bread with pineapple filling was okay; it was a bit dry ://. –The Chocolate Croissant was pretty good~ It had a lot of chocolate in it so that’s a plus for a chocolate lover like myself :3 –The mini Taro ball is my sister’s fave. –The Cinnamon Roll was pretty good too~ I still have a few more breads to go through though~ I’d definitely come back~

I’m not sure what’s up with all of these great reviews. This place is NO substitute for 85 Degrees. I tried the strawberry bear which was decent, a brownie which was weak, and matcha soft bread which was very disappointing. Everything was room temp and tasted like it was a few days old which leads me to believe that the food just sits out in the display cases for days on end. The service was ok and the ambiance here is nice but that is just not enough to make up for the lower quality breads here.

Baked Goods: — Taro bread $ 1.30: Very similar to JJ’s version of taro. if you like JJ, then you’ll like this. — German pudding tart $ 2.80: creamy pudding inside but the tart was too thick and a bit hard to bite. maybe they should make it crunchier. — Custard bread $ 1.25: okay, a bit similar to korean version of custard. 85 still does a better job for this. — almond cream bread $ 1.30: not memorable. but i remember it wasnt bad but not special either — chocolate custard bread $ 1.50: dry bread with weird chocolate custard inside. the texture didnt taste like custard, it was more like spread. Price: — Higher than average chinese bakery. Service: — Great. friendly and welcoming cashier. This bakery has a great potential and a nice addition to rowland height. the modern and spacious interior is a big plus. definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.

Food: We ordered a variety of pastries, I think my GF was impressed with the walnut-oreo one. Everything else tasted pretty standard in typical Chinese bakeries. Food rating: 3.5÷5 Drinks: They don’t have a lot of options, but I had the milk tea with pudding. Drink rating: 3.5÷5 Overall: I think my overall experience good, but I would prefer 85 degrees cause of more options to choose from, but I don’t like the lines over there.

No. The consistency of their bread is like that of a Hawaiian bread. Except. It’s the same for everything. Like that is their trademark. I am not gonna list down the stuff I tried because I really didn’t like any of them. On a good note, their restroom was clean; the attendants were nice; very modern and open décor. Special shout out to John T. for coming with me straight from work, braving traffic on the 60 East on a Friday night.

Drove about 20 something miles after work to try this place out with Chris H. tonight… yeah not a fan just yet. Love the modern décor though! Parking/Location: Plenty of parking and the location is easy to spot after you make a right on Nogales! Nice big sign for everyone to see! Service: Being greeted by the cashier with a big bright smile will always make your worries/stress go away. Very nice! Only thing that bothered me was that we were looking around at the bakery section but no one went up to ask if we had any questions. We ended up walking up to them to ask what was good here. One of the girl worker looked at the guy worker and asked him what was good here. All he said was the soft bread is good. I’ll cut them some slack, i’m guessing they are still trainees and this place did open 6 weeks ago. Food: Great way to see if you will come back is to bring a friend. We got to try out about 7 or 8 different buns today. Some of the notables: 1)Hawaiian Pizza Bun– It was savory love anything with pineapple in it. 2)Tiramisu– First time eating a plant… literally loooked like a plant. Looks are deceiving sometimes. It was good wasn’t overwheling sweet. 3) Savory hot dog bun– Must get to balance all the sweetness of the others. The rest went home with Chris H! Such a thoughtful friend I am… She thought I was fattening her up… then gain I reassured it’s happy weight she was gaining! :-P I’ll give it another try, but when reviewers say this place is going to give 85c a run for it’s money… i’m just mehhhh about it. 85C has sustain power… sorry cube bakery.

I really wanted to like this place, but Cube Bakery proved to be a forgettable drop in the 626 ocean of bread and boba. For a newcomer to want to contend with established giants such as 85 °C and JJ Bakery, it has to have a special element. Cube Bakery, unfortunately, severely lacks this. I came in at 12 on Thursday to a depressingly empty establishment. The store was very clean, but I attribute that more to the lack of customers than to the employees. Bread: The texture is really soft, which is fine for cake, but not for bread. Apple Pie — the filling to puff pastry ratio is horrendous. Do not get unless you love flavorless puff pastry. Bacon & Onion Brick — the inside is unpleasantly mushy. The bacon was more like slices of fat. Pepperoni pizza — this for my brother’s seal of approval. I noticed that the bread was very limp. Egg tart — the crust is puff pastry and the egg had a soufflé-like texture rather than the creamy texture that I’m used to. I’d say it’s different, but I refer the mochi egg tarts from 85°. Pudding milk tea w/boba — affordable at a little over $ 2, but that’s probably because half the cup was ice. Overall, this place is mediocre and unmemorable. I’m hoping it’s because it just opened not long ago and is still working out the kinks.

I wanted to give them high ratings just because they opened, but my heart tells me I can’t lie to the people… My family and I got two trays, we literally got everything because they all looked so delicious from the outside. However, out of that whole tray there were only two that we thought were decent. I don’t know the names of the two bread because we were all to excited and grabbed everything. But, overall this place is ehh. But, I’ll give them a thumbs up on the fluffiness of the bread though. Not only was the bread a disappointment, but the drink was too. I ordered a green milk tea, and ohh boy it was water down. It did have a slight tea flavor, but it tasted more like water. Maybe, just maybe I’ll give this place a second try in the future.

This place is a graphic/interior design nightmare. But let me digress a bit. I’m all for mom and pop bakeries and so decidedly came here to check this place out. FOOD: The boyfriend got a Bacon and Cheese Bread, Green Onion Bread, and a Corn and Cheese one plus a green milk tea(ended up with a milk tea instead because they misheard). I just got a Jasmine Green Tea. The bread I heard was actually pretty good, very flavorful with nice texture although it was perplexing as to why they were cold. We then noticed no heating lamps to keep the bread warm. It would’ve been perfect if it was warm and soft. The milk tea tasted like it was from Lollicup :/nothing special so I didn’t think it was worth the money. The green tea was all right as well, slightly bitter the way I like it. SERVICE: No greetings at the door, we just wandered a bit looking at the breads. I was able to witness first hand what happens when the cash register was put under pressure and the outcome wasn’t exactly passing material. Lol. The girl at the front gave the woman before me the wrong change, and the situation just got straight up awkward from there. Both the cashier and owner were trying to figure out the missing change– Cashier seemed confused and flustered. I stood there just kind staring, ya know? Ended up snapping at me for my credit card to close my transaction before diffusing the situation with the lady with the wrong change. Girl ain’t ready for the front! Then they were hauling around this gigantic rack of bread out into the main bakery area… Clogging space, not very efficient and an eye sore. The workers also handled bread with gloved hands instead of tongs. Gloved hands that touched the glass that a few dozen other customers had touched before them then proceeded to handle the bread. Wow. Gr0dy. The floors and glass door were also dirty and littered with fingerprints. ATMOSPHERE: While I was there sipping my tea I started to notice a few things. Their LED lights for their bread cases were sloppily done, very unappealing with tape sticking out everywhere. They also have this blue plexiglass ceiling, I noted that a few pieces were starting to fall apart and thought: «this was a lawsuit waiting to happen if a piece were to fall and hit a customer». #Jussayin’ Their logo was inconsistent with their color palette of choice. I just felt their image/branding seemed rushed. In all honesty, if one wants to open up a bakery here in Rowland with stiff competition all around especially with 85° C that has their shit down(especially cleanliness) then this place really need to step up their ‘A’ game and be 100% ready from day one.

Upon entering the store I was greeted by the employees with a loud«welcome to cube bakery!» it’s nice to feel acknowledged lol. I was then asked if I needed assistance multiple times by the employees that were attending to the bread. customer service is fantastic here! The bread section was huge as well! that have large display cases in the middle, along with two walls of cubbies with more bread in them! they have so much bread that sometimes they have problem finding room where to put them. They have breads that are savory and sweet, chocolate kind breads and even pink breads too! be aware that each bread piece is HUGE. the prices are also very reasonable. They also have cute deserts and very nice looking cakes being sold here as well. This is a huge store with a seating area, so you’re not being pushed around like you are in 85c. The environment is fresh and the employees’ friendliness and ability to keep a conversation with you makes cube bakery a place where I would love to be a regular at :)

A friend brought some cakes over from Cube so I got to taste their cute, little desserts. However, I can’t name them. I had this tiramisu-inspired cake designed to look like a potted plant and a layered mousse(?) cake that had crumbles on top and embedded inside. I found that both cakes could have been a tad sweeter, especially the mousse, which was slightly bland. Both were tasty nonetheless! The not-so-sweet style is going to be popular with the community around Rowland. With the lack of sweetness, however, came a lovely lightness in the cakes. Made them seem less fattening lol I didn’t get a chance to see the bakery décor OR experience the service, but judging by the desserts, I can give a solid 4. Cute looking and decent tasting!

There is nothing more exciting than a new bakery opening in Rowland Heights! I was driving down Nogales when I stumbled upon Cube Bakery & Café. It’s between El Pollo Loco and Denny’s…let’s hope Cube can make this spot a success! As I type this review, I’m sampling the goodies I purchased. Since it’s their soft opening, the variety is limited. I usually prefer savory breads than sweet breads, and Cube seems to have an abundance of sweet breads. All in all, the various breads I bought were quite good. Texturally, it’s not as dense or chewy like other Taiwanese bakery. The breads are very soft and fresh, but not warm. Let’s face it, the big draw for 85C is the«fresh bread» that’s warm. If Cube can accomplish the same feat, they should have a winning formula. The breads here are huge for the price! Large portions that can be easily shared with many. Here are my thoughts: Sweet Breads: –Sweet Potato & Cheese Bread — could be cheesier, but tasty bread I could eat often. –Pineapple Berry Bread — the fruit is dried fruit, making it super sweet. –Orange Raisin Brad — again, dried fruit, super sweet, and it’s more sugary than orange. Savory Breads: –Shredded Pork & Cheese Bread — –Sweet Potato & Cheese Bread — chucks of potato and cheese in the bread… yummy! –Spring Onion Bread — cheesy with green onions inside… I’m definitely a fan! Orange Pineapple Mango Smoothie — great flavors of real oranges, pineapples, and mango. Could be smoother… or use wider straws. Actually, the ice and fruit really need to be emulsified to get that smoothie texture. I’m literally eating it with a spoon and crunching on ice. BUT… nothing beats 100% real fresh fruit! All in all, I give Cube 4 stars because of their excellent service, unique breads, and potential to be a huge success. I look forward to seeing more savory breads and options in the near future!

Came to the soft opening last minute and honestly this bakery is the friendliest I’ve ever been to. Manager was extremely nice, like outrageously nice! And the staff here too helpful! Food: I love their pastries! Try their Pastry Cadina and their Almond lover! I love the ambiance of this bakery as well; the freshness and the sun exposure!

Looks like another place riding off of 85c’s success as a bakery café. Latte was fine, like the Paris baguette ones and they have a real espresso machine to make some good drinks. On the day when I went, not everything was out. Only six cases had bread in it and I was so hoping that there was going to be something but nothing caught my eye yet… There were only breads with healthy sounding combinations of fruits and nuts left, and I’m a sucker for brioche, croissants, and basically anything sweet or with loads of butter, or just a plain bread to try first. For a store with a grand opening banner that really had no product to test, I’m going to update this once I get a chance. Could have been better, but they were totally not ready to open. Hopefully when I return I can have a chance to try more breads.
