Sad to find out Not the same ownership and the friendliness and welcoming definitely not the same. last time here

It was so good that I wanted another one! 5⁄5 — Hot Chocolate: Yummy, but piping hot so be careful! 5⁄5 Service: Fast and friendly. The donuts were reasonably priced. 5⁄5 Final Thoughts: Awesome donuts! I would definitely come if I’m ever in the area again.

This place grew on me. They have great ham cheese and amazing jalapeño ham and cheese croissant especially when you asked for it warmed. They have simple but flavorful fresh sandwiches/subs. I got pastrami and thought it was great not greasy and fatty like some burger stands. They also gave me a free dougt thats always a plus. This place changed its owners and name its now clled«star doughnut»

Good donuts, always fresh, soft, and just the right amount of glaze. I’m not a fan of those over glazed donuts at krispy kreme. I’ve never had a bad experience here and swing by whenever I crave a donut!

Good Donuts. A little on the small side. Their fritter is very good and maple bars as well. They give educator discounts sometimes. When they know you are a regular, they throw in an extra donut. Sweet couple and great service. their coffee is also piping hot and bold with flavor. A must have!

Best place for donuts! I live right next to them and I know they woke up 4 in the morning to bake fresh donuts because I can smell them every night. Sometimes I sleep late and the smell will make me so hungry!

Nice friendly owner with good donuts. There are also a few non-donut goodies such as the surprisingly good egg roll. The only negative was the ham and cheese croissant did not have much ham and cheese in it. Regardless, this is still a nice place to have a snack.

This place has been here since forever, seriously. It’s probably the first place my dad’s ever bought me donuts from, and they have never degraded in quality. Really, whenever I think of donuts the first place I think of is Genie’s. I never see them busy, and it’s a family owned store so I have to give them 5 stars with the hope that good reviews will lead more people to this place. I love how soft their donuts are, and the chocolate glaze is just nomnomnom! And they’re not pricey at all! It’s located right on the side of the 99 cents store along Nogales.

I had a hard time finding this place so I took a picture of the front. I came here during dinner time and they had a good selection of donuts still available. I ordered: Glazed Donut($.80): It’s a very light and fluffy donut. Not too sweet like Krispy Kreme which is the way I like it. It’s pretty big too. Chocolate Donut($.80): This one is not as sweet as the Glazed but I love chocolate. 2 Cinnamon Rolls($ 1.30): These are huge! Not too cinnamony and not too sugary. Very light as well. Sugar Donut(I’m guessing $.80): This was a free donut that he gave me but it’s the same as the Glazed and Chocolate, light and fluffy. The guy that was working here was really nice and helpful. I asked what some of the donuts were and what’s in them. He also mentioned some other filled donuts and turnovers. I’ll definitely come back here again and try their coffee and other foods.

I’d say this place is about 3.5 stars Though Genie makes the best donuts around the area, it’s not the best I’ve had. All of their donuts are soft and pillow-y, but recently they’ve been cheap with the glaze on their glazed donuts, which is the essence if you ask me. Nonetheless, still good. Their ham and cheese croissants are also pretty good. A dozen donuts will run you $ 8.23 and if the son is working, you’ll get a bakery’s dozen(but if it’s the dad, you just get what you order).

They have the best, fresh donuts in town by far !!! I tried so many donut places and nothing compares to Genie’s Donuts. Mom & Pop place, small but, nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place. The shopping center is not all that… but, it’s on the side of 99 cent store. I drive from Diamond Bar just to eat these yummy donuts.

I love to support local businesses, and this place has been here for YEARS. My dad would sometimes stop here with me Saturday mornings when I would go with him to work. .. 5am. .. oh the memories. Yes, ham and cheese croissants run out all the time. I’ve stopped there many times for one, and am disappointed. I guess my dad was teaching me to get up a 5am for something. You will find my boyfriend’s mom drinking coffee there every morning. That’s real coffee, none of this venti crap. Owners are great.

I just like plain glazed twisted donuts or chocolate glazed ones, in which I bought both today at this place. The prices are cheap($ 0.70 for the twisted donuts) and they tasted fresh and not too heavy and sweet on the glaze. They’re really nice and patient with my asking how much each of what I wanted was and the lady commented saying she liked my bag. Also, the lady gave me a free glazed donut with sprinkles. :p

No frills, old fashioned mom and pop donut shop with awesome prices and some tight sitting. Nice owners/staff greet you as you walk in or out. Great for a morning swing or a weekend stop to read the news.

Friendly and often not very busy. Their cream cheese croissants are amazing, but they do run out. Their donut holes are so addicting; just the perfect amount of sweetness. And a great deal at only 10cents each. Don’t go to Winchell’s or Krispy Kreme – all you need is Genie’s.

Freeway close, it’s a small donut shop with prices that make you wonder why you ever went to Starbucks for coffee… I’m a man, I like coffee… not sugar, not milk… coffee…I don’t need hazelnut, caramel, etc… just a large coffee please. Ham & cheese croissant is my thing, good stuff, but beware, they sell out… oooooh, and Jess is right, the apple fritters are extremely fresh(when they’re outta ham & cheese, sometimes you need a good back-up plan)…

The apple fritters they make here are fresh and fluffy even when you get them at night. Its not overwhelmingly sweet nor overly glazed. Its a perfect blend of fritter goodness!
