Bread from JJ Bakery is delicious! If you’re up in the morning and want some fresh bread, go there and grab some! They usually put out all of their bread in the morning, so when you stop by in the afternoon there won’t be as many, unlike 85 who tries to put out fresh bread consistently throughout the day. The breads are all pre packaged for you, there are all different types, I don’t think there’s a bread at JJ Bakery that I’ve tried that I don’t like. They also offer loafs of toast, cookies, and pastries. The cakes come in single slices or a full cake. There is also a small dining area so that you can enjoy the bread, pastries, or their café items. I’ve never dined at this particular location before, I usually go to the one in the Four Seasons Plaza. Overall, great place to grab some bread — prices are fair and the bread is good!

Since moving to my new office, i’ve been coming here 3x a wk. I really need to stop but it’s so convenient not having to make breakfast in the morning. My favorite so far is the cheese toast. their savor buns are pretty good.

JJ Bakery is an Asian chain store that has many different locations all around the area and even in the 626 area as well. This bakery has been around for a pretty long time and I have to say most of the things when you do buy them are pretty enjoyable. If you want a quick lunch here you can pick up some pre made sandwiches which are inside this refrigerated area and they also have soy milk as well. Which is one of my favourite things to enjoy and drink. Service well you really won’t get that here, some of the times they are nice and other times they seem like a little bit on the mad side but at least they aren’t yelling at you right? On the side note they do have a lot of different breads that you can buy and have as a snack or what I like to do is give them to my parents and older people to remind them of their younger days. Simple, easy and quick pick up food. I can’t really say I dislike this place since I do come here often and there must be a reason for that!

If you’re in the mood for a fantastic Asian mango dessert. GETTHEMANGOMOCHI! Thick mochi shell with a thin layer of bread filled with a sweet mango crème and real mango pieces! I always get it every time I stop by and am never disappointed. Other than this wonderful mango masterpiece, my other recommendations are: Hokkaido chiffon crème puff: a soft, fluffy bread outer overflowing with a perfectly sweet and creamy center Taro donut: sweet because of the sprinkled sugar on top but the filling itself is not that sweet. It’s filled with mashed taro and is less than $ 2!

Don’t go to this location; we just experienced super poor customer service. Don’t bother placing orders at this location. We placed an order for a dozen baked new year’s cakes several days ago for pickup today. We got a call asking us to pickup our order because it was ready. We arrived to pick up our order and was told they don’t have our order available, but that there were still two available out on display we were welcome to purchase. I had to complain before they started to think of solutions to the missing 10 items in our order. Their first attempt was an offer to call other locations to see if any available were available. Unfortunately not only did the other two closest locations not have enough to fulfill our order, there was no effort to have them transferred to this location. Our only option was to go pick up from the other location. Luckily we had two cars. However, they were still short the amount we ordered. Only after expressing outrage at calling us to come pickup our order when it was obviously not available did they make the necessary calls to their central bakery in an attempt to rectify their mistake. We had to wait an extra 35 minutes for them to deliver the remaining items. They could have done this in the beginning instead of having us first drive ourselves to another location. It is unacceptable that I had to resort to expressing outrage for them to take the necessary steps to resolve their mistake. It would have been nice if we were offered a discount or some other token of appreciation for us having to drive to another location and wait for a delivery from the central bakery, but none was neither offered nor given. It is unfortunate that no effort of customer service was given to remedy such a bad experience until I started complaining, and even then we only got the minimum of assistance. For their part, the lady that assisted us did express a healthy amount of frustration about the situation when she escalated the problem to her superiors on the phone. I did appreciate her demonstrating the appropriate amount of indignation to her superiors. Well done young lady.

I love Chinese breakfast. This restaurant offers good food. But I can’t understand why can’t they train their service crew better? Almost every time when we are there, we ran into miss orders or lousy services. Too bad.

MYFAVORITES Chocolate cake with strawberries! I get it for all the birthdays and everyone loves it. The chocolate cake is spongey and light and the strawberries abundant! $ 29 Mochi! They have these soft baseball sized mochi balls filled with light whipped cream and strawberries or mangos or green tea with a bit of pound cake. Love them! $ 3.50

I drove a long way here to purchase a birthday cake. It’s my very first time to know that a place sells birthday cake without giving customer the cake plate to share the cake!!! So we are suppose to bring the plates ourselves and what happen if we are celebrating at a park? Should we just use our fingers to dig in the cake and lick???

My family and I came here for lunch before we had our long ride home back to the Bay. We ordered a few side dishes, omurice, oyster pankcake and pork belly rice. The service was very fast and the quality of the food was quite good. This seemed more of a taiwanese fast food place which is something I rarely see in the Bay. I really liked their oyster pancake, it was crispy and doughy. Their omurice was super good also. They also have a bakery inside, my mom bought a few pastries and said it was decent. When I come down to LA again, I would definitely come back and try some more of their dishes and pastries.

All I got to say is that they have Mochi cakes. Soo good! Came by here to pick up a birthday cake. We ordered the strawberry chocolate cake with Oreo cookie crumbles inside. The cake was delicious and my friends say they liked it more than 85 degree bakery’s cake! Wished I lived near by, but kind of glad I don’t or else I’d be rolling in everyday… And then pretty soon wobbling in.: /

Friends took us to this bakery for dessert. We had the snow cone with assorted toppings and condensed milk and the brick toast with custard, fruits and vanilla ice cream. Both desserts were very good but the tower of brick toast was so good. The toast itself was very good, combined with custard, ice cream and fruits– it was so good. I was already full when we got there but I made room for this beautiful dessert. I’m giving a 3 star because the service was very slow. I ordered hot green tea but it took so long and several follow ups. When I got the tea, I was expecting an unsweetened tea but I guess they misunderstood it because the tea was sweetened. We explained that we wanted plain hot green tea. It took so long again and several follow ups, and the tea arrived sweetened again. On the 3rd try, they got it right. Bottomline, I enjoyed my dessert but service needs improvement.

Finally! A bakery that is comparable to the variety and quality of NYC bakeries such as Tai Pan, Fay Da, or Yi Mei, which have strong roots in Taiwanese and Cantonese pastries and breads. Not that everything has to be a comparison, but these chains have set the standard of Asian bakery chains(at this price point, which excludes 85C) and sometimes mom-and-pop shops just cannot compete, esp with respect to selection. JJs at this location always has at least 20+ varieties to choose from, and their price point is $ 1.50 per piece. I recommend the pork mince/floss buns with cream(肉鬆包), the taro bun(芋頭) and the ‘pineapple’ bun(菠蘿包). Their Hokkaido chiffon cake puffs are also good, but obviously, half the size of the buns. Their coffee and soy milk(豆漿) are also decent but at a higher price($ 2.75 and $ 2 respectively).

I ordered a half sheet chocolate cake with cream and fruit topping for my sisters graduation party and it looked as if a 13 year old made it. First of all they spelled«congratulations» wrong. Second of all the cream frosting looked dreadful. And lastly the writing looked like chicken scratch. I’ve ordered cakes from them for over 7 years and they are usually on point. I don’t know if they changed the pastry chefs or if it was just an off day. I was so embarrassed that I had no choice but to present my sister with such an ugly and tasteless cake on her special day. And the workers are rude!

Their variety is amazing but their pastries are pretty dense and filling. Steamed to me usually means light and fluffy, but the steamed bun we tried tears and tastes kind of like… packaging foam. ?:’(While fantastic in presentation, we were confused with the texture and lack of moisture. Their bakery does look really nice, clean, and spacious though. It’s clear that they use authentic ingredients in their baking confections. If you’re having trouble locating them, they’re right next to a Big Lots!

JJ Bakery has been around for a long time. Its located next to Bobbee. The cakes they have are always consistent. which is why they have two locations in rowland heights. im a big fan of the hokkaido cakes and sponge cakes. They both are delicious options. the wait is never crazy or hardly any. but dont let that deter you. price here is very fair and it takes 5 dollars to use your card. i always end up being carried away buying too much when im here.
