Visit on 3÷11÷16 approx 6pm. Horrible customer service! Never got my refund on my debit card. Manager was careless and abrupt. Killed my vibe and appetite!

Bad customer service in the drive thru, get the 10 piece, pay the extra $ for mixed, get home and they gave me 4 legs as part of my chicken, pay the extra for mixed and get 4 legs, enjoy the 3 extra dollars, small price to pay to lose a customer

Because El Pollo Loco is readily available fast food, I am really looking at the customer service and presentation of a particular location. This El Pollo Loco fails on both fronts. It took three times for them to get anything reasonably approximating the right order for me. They were merely unwrapping a pulling stuff off of my order rather than actually redoing it, so there was residue of unwanted ingredients. And, those ingredients were not uniformly chopped. Bad customer service and poor presentation make for a low rating. Otherwise, EPL is a good place to get a cheap salad. Right now, it is where I go to pick up a Mexican Caesar with no skin on the chicken, tomatoes instead of avocado, and light cilantro dressing. The white meat chicken is nice and moist, and the cotija and pepitas add nice textural elements. It is a tasty salad, I’m would just skip this location in favor of one of the other outlets in the area. They are freeway close and have a drive thru. No charge for usi a credit card on a small bill.

By far this restaurant is the most customer service oriented. I have to say I have EPL once a week and this place has the most cleaned and relaxing lobby they could offer. Miguel is such a wonderful associate who takes care of you when you order. He definitely deserves two thumbs up, he not only treats you with such respect. But also, will go above and beyond the call of duty when assisting the customer. Kudos to you-MIGUEL… It’s true this place its busy at times, but yet they get you in and out in no time. They are very helpful and treat like family once they get to know you. People usually don’t take the time to commend a good employee, but only will take the time to talk about a bad situation. Let’s be fair and let everyone know that this place is great place to have a good meal. Thank you– MIGUEL for your hard work and dedication to this restaurant and to your customers.

Poor Customer Service! I ordered a 3 Course Meal, before paying my mother asked me if I was going to use one of the coupons from the flyer I had in my hand. I told my mom that I didn’t see any that I could used. While waiting for our meal my mom noticed that there was a coupon that we could have used.(The coupon was for free half chicken when you purchased 3 Course Meal.) «Great Coupon, poor service!» When I asked the cashier if they would honor the coupon since I had already paid for my meal, she turned to her manager(with an attitude) and told her Spanish I wanted to use the coupon. The female manager asked the clerk in Spanish if I had asked to use the coupon before I paid. The manager turned to me also with an attitude and very rudely and said that I needed to tell them before I paid. I told the manager I felt that the employees should know what coupons are being advertised and out of courtesy they should point it out for the customer. At this point I was upset because the clerk was speaking English to me but was speaking Spanish to the manager. The clerk turns to me and very rudely raises her voice stating to me, humans make mistakes and who knows what else. The manager asked her to walk away but she still stood there arguing her point. The manager never offered an apology for the employees behavior. The manager never acknowledged my point. If you are looking for poor service and employees to treat like garbage visit this store! No customer service skills what so ever!

Can’t go wrong with EPL. Although the BRC’s are a bit pricier than in the IE, you have to remember it’s LA county. I’ve only been here via drive-thru so I can’t comment on the inside. Employees are usually cool. I’ve never had an issue here and I’ve never had to wait longer than a few minutes to order my food or get my meal.

Solid dinner. Ordered the 3 course family meal that game with 8 pieces of chicken, 4 enchiladas, rice, beans, tortillas, and 4 churros. Pretty good deal for $ 20. This meal was split between 3 of us, and we were all stuffed. The chicken was juicy and the enchiliadas were just ok in opinion. Ordered to go, but the interior looks nicely decorated and modern. I would come here more often, but the construction on Nogales street makes the trip difficult.

Today was one of those low key days where we didn’t want to go out to eat, even though the family was on vacay/visit parents/work(for the guys). My bro travels the world, eating some of the finest foods. When he is visiting, he just wants a $ 5 burrito. I told him I saw a tostada commercial for EPL. He immediately said, «Let’s pick up lunch here!» Still in our PJs/house clothes, we head on over. (When I worked in Baldwin Park many many years ago, I used to get their RBC or Classic Chicken burrito. Favorite flautas ever!) Everyone in the family has different tastes, so we got a little bit of everything. I was so disappointed they no longer make the chicken flautas. Urgh!!! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right awat. I noticed the place was clean. The 2 guys ordered the tostada salads: Double chicken & Santa Fe. 6 taquitos. Both ate it up. H u bs left his she’ll and I’m so glad he did. It’s the same texture as the flautas back in the days— light, crispy, mmmmm… Couldn’t stop breaking off pieces of it and dipping with the buffet of salsas we brought home. My Mom & I ordered 2 Shrimp Tacos & Mango salsa with cilantro sauce(from the salsa bar). Yum! For my Dad and daughter(and anyone who was still hungry) ordered the 8 pc chicken with corn on the cob(fresh, NOT soggy) & pinto beans., with flour tortilla & pico De gallo. The chicken was overbrined — -mushy. But nothing a little salsa couldn’t solve, wrapped in tortilla. I must mention the nice lady, Claudia, who took our order. Man, she’s patient. We hadn’t been to EPL in at least a decade, maybe more. They practically had a new menu, besides the chicken meals. She was very knowledgeable and even made suggestions. She must’ve thought we were pigs, ordering so much food. She even gave us larger salsa containers to take home. We waited as our food was being put together. Claudia repeated our whole order as she packed it in front of us. Thorough, I love it! As we were finishing up on the salsa bar, Claudia was taking some one’s order. Talk about patience. She asks the customer«Would you like flour or corn tortilla.» He relies, «What’s the difference.»(Uh, really?). Claudia wS so professional to kindly explained the difference. Man, you go girl!

I know there are people out there that LOVE to hate on El Pollo Loco but I don’t care, I LOVE me some El Pollo Loco! Sometimes so much that I fly a whole chicken back to Seattle with me… Normally, my family and I just order a family sized meal consisting of their infamous grilled chicken, sides, tortillas and avocado salsa. I definitely would rather eat here over KFC.

Great to just walk in and out with your order. The wait is never long, and the salsa bar is always well-stocked and clean. I come here to buy to go and have always had a pleasant experience. I love how tasty their chicken always is… it’s never failed me!

Being that I once had a horrible experience with El Pollo Loco(ahem food poisoning ahem), not from this particular location, the taste of chicken and my choice of eating it has never and probably will never be the same. Our coworkers enjoy picking up lunch from here being that there is large portions for a good price. The chicken is flavorful and not dry, their sides are decent and their salsas pretty good. We usually fight for the chicken legs here but lately we’ve asked them to give us more legs instead of chicken breast and they have gladly obliged. Their steamed veggies sometimes are bland though and have a funky after taste, not sure if its the water they use or the way that they are cooked but I’m not a fan of them.

This review is solely on their DELICIOUSCHICKENCRUNCHYTACOS! I WASNEVER a fan of El Pollo Loco, I always thought their chicken is DRY, BLAND, ESPECIALLY for them to be known for their chicken, their food was not impressive. the tacos are the BOMBESTWITHEXTRA cheese(for cheese lovers like me)!!! at some spots they charge about 40cents for extra cheese and once I was charged a ridiculous 1.40 for extra cheese on 2 tacos. I’ve had the tacos for lunch and dinner 3 days in a row. yes it was that good LOL. NOJOKE! i SUGGEST you eat them right away(no later than 10 min, after you get them) so the oil wont soak in. once the oil seeps through, the taco won’t be as crunchy(I know cause there was traffic once and when I got home the tacos were oil drenched) Although I was always a fan of their Avocado sauce! Best to go in and pour you own sauces, you don’t have to be sheisty! this drive through isn’t that stingy with their sauce, they gave me 2 bags of avocado sauce for 4 tacos. :)

Unlimited salsa, the personnel is one of the best I have ever encountered, and if you call the number on the back of your receipt/go the website, you can get a $ 1 your next order of $ 5 or more before taxes. The chicken is mainly consistent, but ever so often you know when a certain cook is on duty because the POLLO comes out tastier than it’s predecessors.

The chicken leg is a $ 1. Chips are about a $ 1. UNLIMITED salsa. It deserves a 4 stars imo. For the same amount of $$ you spend on the alternative fast food joints, this aint bad at all.
