Tried the lunch AYCE. It was fresh and yummy. Ordered many things — I was full. I will come back. The end.

I loved their Tempura Udon, Fiesta Roll and Philly Tempura roll. Since not AYCE, I had to stop there. good quality miso soup too. Their crab to rice ratio was perfect. I like it. Im not sure about their tea, i a good way. It had a nutty taste to it that kept me asking for refills. I was in love with the tea!

Horrible horrible service and it’s all u can eat it’s like $ 25 per person plus a drink and u can only get one thing at a time understandable and if u even leave the rice on any plate they charge u an extra $ 2 per plate and they won’t give u anything else, after 20 I tell the waiter in ready to order and he gives me a paper and disappears I had to ask another server to help us. Then they bring out my food but not my daughters. Smh never again

The food: At $ 50 per person you can get a large plate of fresh sashimi, tako, abalone, squid, poki on tortilla chips, miso soup, seafood congee, fried salmon heads, eel roll, and kimchee soup. Although, I found that the tortilla chips a little stale and their beef teriyaki tough. I would say that I’ve had fresher cuts of fish but this is a decent place to come if you’re in the mood for a Korean twist on Japanese. The parking: plenty in and around the strip mall The restrooms: clean and well kept

Been here three times for their ayce. 18.95 for lunch and 23.95 for dinner The quality of the sushi depends on which chef is working that day. The first two times I sat at the sushi bar and the amount of rice put under each sashimi piece was perfect. The freshness of the fish was also on point and and not veiny. Came here once more with a group of friends and did not sit at the sushi bar and it was a completely different experience. Service was slower, rice portions were bigger, and fish was definitely not the best quality. Ayce dinner comes with 2 pieces of uni per person and 2 oysters and 2 raw shrimps per person also. Moral of the story: sit at sushi bar.

The service is ok but it could be a little more nicer, also be carful about all you can eat menu you can not share food and don’t leave a single grain of rice or else they will charge you(which is bull). On the main menu they don’t really tell you what kind of sushi you’ll receive which is weird, the soup is great but the food is not the best but it’s alright but it’s not a real sushi bar rather more Korean. Also, the waitresses will give you looks and talk among themselves.

I stopped in for lunch with my sister and nephew. We ordered: 1) tempura udon 2) misong roll 3) fiesta roll 4) uni I highly recommend the udon and misong roll. Misong was very fresh and light. It is in a soy wrap rather that seaweed. I prefer soy wraps because they use less rice when wrapping the sushi and it’s just lighter. Udon was very flavorful. I’m not sure if it was because we ordered a lot of food but servers brought out a complimentary tempura ca roll and green tea ice cream. It was all good. Waitress was absent toward the end of our meal I felt like I waited too long for the check but still good was good and everyone was nice.

Did not do ayce. Got one of their combo i think it was sukiyaki beef which came with tempura and california roll. It was okay. Ordered beer but took forever to get it. Then bottles came with no cup. Multiple times had to try to flag down the waitress lady. She was busy doing 10 things at once. So I got help from another lady couple times. Only reason why its 3 star and not a 2 is because their hamachi kama was good. I reallllly think better service will contribute to higher rating.

Overall I’ve visited this place a few times and I must say it’s really good. Staff is great, plenty of parking in the back, the food quality and value are deal winners. I haven’t had everything on the menu, only nigiri sushi mainly and a couple rolls but they were all good.

This has got to be one of the most disgusting sushi restaurants ever. Empty on a Saturday night. Sushi served with banchan? Oh yea, because they’re Korean-owned and operated, they feel that their banchan can make up for nasty fish. Those who experienced great service were probably Korean. Koreans take care of their own… but if you’re not one of them, prepared to get screwed. The AYCE was a disaster. Salmon was the only cut that was edible. Tuna, yellowtail, red snapper, halibut… forget about it. You’re safer eating raw fish thawed out from the supermarket. I took one bite of the salmon roe and I had to spit it out because it tasted rotten. Mi Song charges for food not finished, so I sent back the salmon roe and asked the waitress, «Please don’t charge me for not finishing this, it’s spoiled.» She had the audacity to reply, «It’s supposed to taste like this.» It’s supposed to taste like you harvested salmon roe from the back of a dumpster? I’ve had salmon roe plenty of times. I’ve had great salmon roe and even mediocre, but edible salmon roe from Nijiya Market. Mi Song’s salmon roe was sickening. She brought it back to the row of sushi chefs, who in return, all gave me the stink-eye. Thanks for making me feel like this. Great way to earn repeat customers. For $ 23.88 a person, I felt like I flushed my money down the toilet. Actually, that would be insulting to toilets everywhere.

My family ate here for lunch before heading to my dad’s work place. It’s okay. I got their shrimp tempura box & and a philly roll. The Philly was pretty bomb. I’m a sushi fanatic, but this place has to be my least favorite sushi place & because of how far this place is from my house. I plan on not coming back anyways.

I am usually in the Rowland Heights area on the weekends to visit family and we generally go for some sort of Chinese food. On a very rare visit during a weekday I found myself in the neighborhood and definitely knew that I did not want Chinese food. Instead I found Misong which has lunch specials! I love bento boxes so I knew I had to try it out. When we walked in for lunch the place was pretty darn empty except the people who work there. We were the only two eating in while a few people did get takeout. More attention from the lovely server for us! The restaurant itself is a pretty decent size and is decorated nicely. I love that this is a Korean sushi place. That means we got banchan with our meal! They served us 5 dishes of unusual banchan. I highly suspect they make it in the restaurant. I got a lot of food for my lunch. The meal itself took some time to get to us but everything was made fresh and you could tell they had presentation. They didn’t just slop everything into the bento boxes like some places, instead they laid everything out meticulously. The tempura was made fresh and so was everything else. The portion sizes were pretty large and I was surprised at the size of the bento box. A lot of items! Price-wise the lunch combos were only 10 – 12! The sushi ones were higher at $ 18 but that’s all sushi. SALMONLUNCHCOMBO $ 12 I was amazed actually at how much food they gave us and how fresh everything was. To list it all off: salmon, salad, three pieces of California roll, 4 pieces of vegetable tempura, 4 pieces of very thickly sliced and fresh salmon sashimi, and potato salad. The salmon was a pretty large piece and was nicely cooked. Not perfectly cooked but close enough. The salad was your run of the mill salad with ginger dressing but it was put together individually and the salad leaves were fresh. The California roll was well… a California roll. The tempura and sashimi were what surprised me the most. The tempura was freshly made and much better than I expected. I thought it would be the kind that gets soggy fast but the way they made it was much better and the batter stood up! Usually tempura that comes in a combo is pretty bad and pre-made. The sashimi was so thickly sliced each piece was really 2. It didn’t smell fishy at all and was of a pretty good quality! I was pleasantly surprised to eat here and enjoy their food! The tempura and sashimi are two things that most people skimp on when it comes to bento boxes but they didn’t here. They also made everything to order! A great deal for lunch.

Fresh sushi, but nothing special. We got a couple soups but the flavor were similar and not that great. The kama hamachi also lacked meat. I do like the complimentary soup and congee in the beginning and the green tea ice cream at the end of the meal.

I used to come here pretty frequently when I was hooked to their unagi bowl. They are not that busy during weekday lunches, I don’t know about dinner. I haven’t tried their legit sashimi plates, but their abalone porridge, unagi(eel) bowl, bentos, and sashimi rice bowls are recommended. My favorite is the eel bowl, which comes with two large pieces of sliced unagi on top of rice, and pickled sides. The unagi melts in your mouth and the sauce is delicious, even with the rice, you’ll be left wanting more! The abalone porridge is perfect for a cold day, or when you’re not feeling your best. The portions are HUGE, you’ll need a bag to take the leftovers home. Great taste, I highly recommend this. As for the Bentos and sashimi rice bowls, they are your standard menus you can find anywhere else, they taste good, but nothing to rave about. The service here is prompt and friendly, the ladies are glad to check on you and see if everything is okay. Come and try their unagi bowl and abalone porridge!

Food: This place serves Korean style sushi so don’t expect traditional Japanese sushi and sashimi. The fish is fresh and their presentation is actually pretty good. They have other options if you want to take a break from sushi or sashimi. Service: Their service is good and exceptional for a Korean restaurant. The waitresses are always friendly and very attentive to your dining needs. Definitely a much welcomed change from the typical Asian restaurant. Location: Parking is pretty plentiful but sometimes is a problem during prime dinner time or special holidays. Parking spaces are all striped for compact sized cars so don’t bring the big SUV. Overall: As decent as this place is, I still prefer to get Japanese food from Japanese chefs and Korean food from Korean chefs. I am not a big fan of fusion restaurants. Take my review with that bias in mind.

Ok, so the sushi chef making your sushi isn’t Japanese, that’s not exactly authentic, but who cares, look on the bright side, like most Korean restaurants, you get bottomless sides and complimentary miso soup that you can refill again and again. Besides, fish is fish. The sushi is always fresh and their rolls never disappoint. And their $ 18.99 Chirachi Bowl is just too good a deal to pass up. It comes with 3 slices of each of the following: Halibut, Yellow Tail, Salmon and Tuna laid on top of a bed of sticky sushi rice. It also comes with mini sweet pickled onions, fake crab meat and that weird tofu thing. Its good enough to share and definitely more than enough for one. There’s ample parking in their private lot and the service is always super friendly.

What I love about this restaurant is the staff and their friendliness. They are always prompt to seat you and take your order! My family has become a regular here at this restaurant, and they have catered to all our needs and picky palates. My dad always gets the Recession special! It is a plate of halibut with a bottle of soju. I always steal a few pieces of the halibut, and the fish tastes so fresh! My favorite here is the Hwae Dub Bab. It is on their lunch special menu, I believe, and it is so delicious! I almost always get this dish. Another of my favorite dishes is the Abalone Porridge. Something about the porridge is very comforting! and perfect if youre feeling a bit under the weather. My brother usually gets the bento boxes, with chicken teriyaki or salmon teriyaki. Comes with a bowl of rice, tempura, cali roll, some sashimi pieces, potato salad, and a side salad :] Morisoba is also very good! and super inexpensive :] As you can see, there are a lot of dishes that we like here, which is why we always come back! I think that they do this thing where you get points on your J card? Not too sure on the details about it, but my mom has it and we get our points logged. And free icecream at the end? Yes please!

Nightmare on Sushi Street. They gave us these free samplers to start off:( ). Most of it was really good especially the Miso Soup. It had great flavor and they were generous with the tofu pieces in the soup. That built me up for excitement. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Lunch Combo( ). The Shrimp Tempura was served in three incredibly small pieces. It tasted good but wow I don’t think I’ve ever had Shrimp Tempura in such small portions before. The potato ball was way too sweet! The salad was alright but not something to do cartwheels for. I have no idea what that orange dressing was called but it had a thick texture and a sweet and sour taste. The super downfall was the Salmon Sashimi. It had a strong fishy taste. Totally did not taste fresh. Salmon Sashimi now became Salmon SADshimi. Just god awful. Too bad it was sliced perfectly. I was incredibly disappointed. We also got Beef Ribs. It had good flavor but some pieces were way too chewy. At least the rice was soft. So unfortunate that the food looked way better than it tastes. I saw another group order a giant platter of sashimi. I wanted to cry for them. It didn’t help that the waitress gave me a weird look as I was eating. Wow don’t I feel so welcomed. Also, this place is cash only. How they thought that was reasonable I don’t know. I mean sushi certainly isn’t that cheap. Totally disappointed, I won’t be back here.

Not a bad place. What an interesting concept! Japanese food served Korean style! I ate here with colleagues and our President picked out the medium sized combo, which came with five or six types of sashimi, California rolls, salad, mint and romaine lettuce leaves(to wrap the sashimi), soy sauce and Korean dipping sauce, miso soup, kimchi soup, fried potato/carrot, fried fish head, salsa/salmon on a chip, and lots of appetizers. The food kept on coming out consistently so we were never kept waiting. Like many reviewers agree below, the appetziers were very delicious. I liked the seaweed, anchovies, and onion root. I’m biased toward tuna and salmon sashimi so those were my favorite, although, there was a tiny bone in my yellowtail fish. The salsa/chip thing was delicious! I’m not a fan of cooked fish(I like raw fish mostly. weird huh?) so i think I could’ve enjoyed this place more. But If I were to eat sashimi, I would’ve gone to a Japanese restaurant; this is not a place I would come on my own haha. And I think it was because I was eating with Koreans, but like Bobi S. said below, the service was good even though I’m not Korean! Over all, it was an interesting experience because there were a lot of things I hadn’t tried before. We finished the meal with plum ice cream! Yum yum!
