MVP Shooters Club

Location is closed. Just stopped by today and most of the machines are empty, the place looks like it’s been closed for a while and the doors are locked. I believe they are renovating the location to become a gaming center.

I LOVE CLAW MACHINE GAMES!
Even though I know that the machines are TOTALLLLLLY rigged, I always spend more than I should playing them. I sometimes stop by this place after eating at banana bay or ichi ichi or after getting boba from tea bar. The prizes that this place offers is just too good to walk away from. They have LV bags, Chanel wallets, iPads, iPhones, and even Apple watches! In order to win these grand prizes, you have to make your claw pick up a ball and then you trade in that ball for the prize. However, even if you think that your claw is going to pick up the ball, the ball will eventually fall back down because that sh** weighs 132.8lbs. They have pictures of people winning the giant prizes and the date they won it, but how do I know those aren’t posed pictures to persuade us that we can win too???
Also, their claw machines are weird because you have to press the button twice. So you use the joystick to move the claw around, then press the button once for the claw to drop, then you have to press it another time for the claw to close. So your timing has to be on point or else you ain’t gon get anything!
I think I’d come back even though I know this place is a total waste of money LOL. I work too much and I deserve to blow some money for fun times once in a while.

Six years ago, when I was in high school and poor because I didn’t work, I used to think arcades like this place were the biggest waste of money.
And then a few months ago, I played the basketball arcade game with a few friends and I got hooked. Don’t get me wrong, this place is still a complete waste of money and every time I go, I end up blowing $ 20 on the basketball machines trying to hit Stage 4. But when you have five of your friends lined up taking potshots and screaming because someone’s basketball bounced out of the cage and some Honeymee is on the line, that is something so special.
Bottom line: I recommend this for hangouts in groups 6 or smaller, or for a 2^nd or 3^rd date with someone. Also, parking sucks in the plaza so come early.

Love this place, we always go to dry pot down the street then come over and have a basketball contest who can get the most in. A bit more pricey then I expected however, totally worth it. Killer work out too!

Lost a lot of money!

Definitely a fun place to hang out with friends and spend some money. Reason for only giving this place 3 stars is because during the time of my visit, only about half of the machine she were operational, and it was super cramped around the basketball area. Also, MVP Shooters Club is know for winning LV bags and whatnot, but there were none in sight. I ended up not spending a single quarter there and went back to the hotel empty handed. Hopefully, with the next visit, there will be at least 1 high priced item to win!

I stop by here whenever I eat at Banana Bay or Honeymee. Although I have never seen anyone win anything big, I still try to win the expensive prizes. There are tons of pictures of people winning big prizes and it makes me wonder if they’re really players that actually won something because there are repeat players winning different prizes shown. It’s always tempting although I feel like I won’t win a nice Louie bag, iphone, or ipad. It’s a dollar to play any of their claw games.

But that’s okay as long as they don’t banned me from playing the ball claw machines. Lol, so far I’ve won 3 Louis Vuitton, 2 IPhone, 1 IPad and a Majhong sets. Next target IPhone 6 plus, hope to get it this week!!!

We are here again for New Year’s Eve. The kids love MVP so we visited again. Prizes are still difficult to win but we did win ONE prize. Don’t get sucked in and spend too much. The claw will pick up the prize but drop it before it gets to the exit slot! You have to get super lucky to get a prize!!! Still a fun place to visit for the basketball game and cheap Taiwan trinkets.

We are loyal customers. Not only do we feel disrespected but we are never going back here. My boyfriend and I come here every week and have spent at least $ 100 winning 15 – 20 dolls and playing basketball. They do trade in prizes for their claw machines. Last week, came here and the alpaca trade in was worth 6 and when I came here today, they changed it to 8. We just wanted to see if they would tell us the truth about the alpaca being 6 last week and then wanting to change it to 8 since alpaca’s are so expensive on the market today, but the owner and worker said it’s always been 8. Thank you for lying to us but you just lost money for your company.
GO TO ROUND 1 INSTEAD.
I never write 1 star reviews but with customer service this bad, it well deserved my first 1 star review.

I just went there today. I have been going there for quite some time now. I’d probably say my first time there was 3 years ago. I know that a lot of people say that it is hard to win, but if you were to think about it from a business point of view, isn’t that what its supposed to be like? They need to make money some way. Aside from that, there is one girl that I’ve seen work there for a long time. She’s really nice and is always smiling. My friends and I won 6 things tonight and every time we asked her if we could switch a plushie for a different color, she would do it willingly. I felt bad for asking her to switch it so many times that eventually the last one we won, we ended up just taking our winnings and leave. I think the place is definitely unique and it is a good place for friends to just hang out and have fun. I would definitely take friends here for their first time.
P. S. To the girl who helped us, sorry if we were a bother. Thank you for helping us. We appreciate it! :)

Liar! Waste a lot of moment here and never caught a toy! Every time the machine grab the toy and it fall! Every time play there just feel mad, sad, no hope, wanna die…

Not a «Street Fighter» type of arcade. This place is mainly for girls and because of a girl is how I ended up here :/​. Claw machines are what occupy most of the space. Guess most of the ladies are trying to get that Louis Vuitton purse. There are also few basket balls that you can shoot.

Nothing like this exists in NorCal, so as soon as my friend and I found out about this place we knew we HAD to go.
This place is claw machine heaven — rows and rows of machines each filled with cute branded plushies from Hello Kitty to Rilakkuma and none of that generic no brand $h!t you find at Dave and Busters — +3 stars for that! Also, you can trade 6 to 10 of your small prizes for a bigger one which is a plus! (If you can even win, that is.)
Now for the bad:
— IT’S SO DAMN HARD TO WIN. My friend is the master of claw machines and for the amount of money we spent, we should have won more. At $ 1 per try, it adds up! No matter how perfectly you grip the toy, it will eventually fall because the claw’s grip is not strong. That’s the sh-​t I don’t like. We eventually found out how to bypass this by strategically predicting where and when the toy will drop and hope it bounces off something and into the prize hole. TA-​DA! This is your best hope for winning.
— The person working did not seem happy at all. I guess it’s our fault that we are obsessed and went to go change our bills for quarters so many times but a smile wouldn’t hurt. It got to the point where we left instead of playing more because we were too scared to approach the worker again.
— They have crazy prizes like an iPad and LV bag teasing you because you know only one out of 1 263 725 will actually win.
Regardless. MVP Shooters Club, I don’t love you but you still aite. We will probably visit again in the future to fuel our addictions to claw machines and cute irresistible plushies.

I am such a fan of arcade games, especially those claw machines! Although I didn’t play the claw machines, I did end up playing basketball with my friends. It takes one token (25 cents), which isn’t bad. We all put in our coins at the same time, but mine didn’t work!!! I had to wait and it started to work in the middle of the game. The girl was nice enough to reset my machine so I wouldn’t have to pay again. From what I remembered last time, the claw machines are a bit weak so you might spend lots of money here! Overall, good place to play!

I have been here many many times because my boyfriend and I are always bored after dinner and I love Rilakkuma. All of the machines cost $ 1 or 4 quarters for a try. There are many different cute plushie machines, those super impossible LV/​Xbox/​iPad machines and the basketball machines.
My boyfriend actually has a pretty successful strategy to win at these claw games so he is able to spend an average of $ 1 to $ 3 on each stuffed animal he gets me: D
The time when he won the Hello Kitty stuffed animal (which is relatively larger than the normal size plushies available in MVP), there was a couple that was playing the game before us. The girl wanted the last Panda Hello Kitty (I wanted it too :() but my bf and I just waited and watched them try again and again and use around $ 20. The Hello Kitty eventually reached the wall so they asked the MVP store employee to help them place the Hello Kitty farther away from the wall because the claw couldn’t get it. The store employee helped them strategically put the Panda Hello Kitty on top of another Hello Kitty right next to the hole where the stuffed animal falls through so it would be easier for them, but they still couldn’t get it so they gave up.
Then it was our turn and my bf got it in one try. The couple was staring at us too so it was kind of awkward… LOL

I hate you and I hate your machines and I hate everything about this place.
I hate how I can never win. I hate how it makes me feel like a loser everytime I even step into this place. I hate how it takes all my money. I hate how the LV bags taunt me. I hate how I can’t even get a damn keychain out of the claw machines. I hate Chris. (You know who you are. Stop winning so many damn bags) I hate it.):
Also, I hate how you went downhill over the past year. It used to be popping and now the prizes suck because nobody can win. Except Chris. So maybe lighten up the ball a little and give the good guys a chance to win yea? Then maybe I’ll stop being so damn angry.

Fifteen Bucks, Fifteen Minutes and a «Muffin.»
So, the little one has been saving her quarters. As she has a fondness for the claw games we see almost everywhere, I thought this was a great place to bring her on our Saturday rode trip to see different parts of LA.
The claw game is pretty much an analogy for life. Right when you think you have something great, the claw jerks and you lose your big prize. Located in Yes Plaza, the parking can get rough at night.
Two of the machines were empty and the others seemed to have less attractive stuffed animals compared to my previous visit about a year ago. It was early in the afternoon and was not that crowded.whew. The little one loved it.
Fifteen bucks later we left with a cute «Café» bear with a bakers hat and bag of dough. His name is «Muffin» and he is in the kitchen waiting to help us bake cookies tonight.
For Fifteen bucks, the fifteen minutes was not bad. A dollar a minute for a stuffed doll and a very happy fifteen minutes with the little one. Sure is a deal to me!
