This place is not anything special. The service is mediocre and the food is decent. It takes a while for the servers to respond to our needs, but they are nice. The place is not the cleanest place, but you should not expect much when the place has a B. The place is really cheap though, and that is the only reason to come here

Their service actually got a lot better from the past couple of time I’ve been here. So that’s a plus, but let me start off with the cons. The meat did not taste or look too fresh, but i mean, what do you expect for $ 10 ayce right? I was pretty disappointed because they didn’t serve steamed egg anymore. Well from my last visit, they didn’t offer it anymore. That’s too bad because that’s usually one of the thing I look forward to the most at most KBBQs. The kimchi unfortunately was under-seasoned, or under-marinated. I gave this place a couple of stars because the service was actually really good once we got seated but, it did take us a while TO get seated. Even though there were a couple of open spots available, we still had to wait 10 – 15 mins to get seated. But, overall, this place isn’t really that bad for the price and location, but it’s really a hit or miss when it comes to quality. If you want to be balling on a budget, this would be the place to go, in my opinion.

Do they have the freshest meats? NO. Were they out of brisket and new york steak when I went? YES. Do they half ass on their side dishes? HELLYES. Their«kimchi» tasted like it was dipped once in the marinade for one second, which means absolutely NO taste at all! Regardless of all the cons, does this place satisfy your Korean bbq cravings? ABSOLUTELY! Even though they were out of brisket(my favorite) the beef belly was enough to fulfill my cravings. I think I like the beef belly more now ha. You know what else changed drastically for the better? The fact the slow ajumas finally hired a group of young men as servers. Don’t be fooled by the tattoos and urban wear these servers dress in, they have the BEST service and are really fast with orders! Not sure how long they’ve been working there, but it seriously made the restaurant worth going so much more. I loved the service so much, I gave a $ 10 tip :) Keep up the good work guys!

their saving grace is their service. for the most part, service was good, the service from OUR server(young filipino guy) was AMAZING. seriously, we wanted to poach him for our family business. he was literally RUNNING to ensure we got our food asap. i felt fear that he would fall more than once. that said, the quality of the meat is inconsistent, poor(read: it’s gray in color) and is not readily available. what kind of AYCEKBBQ place runs out of brisket at 6 pm on a weekend? it was cray-cray. their banchans are super sucky. salads and banchan refills are impossible to obtain b/c the servers/kitchen are so understaffed and inundated. kimchi was super weird. like chinese-korean restaurant style. soon tofu was inconsistent. they no longer have steamed egg. NOMORESTEAMEDEGG. none of their plates match. there is ZERO décor. honestly, i was shocked when i walked in. pretty sure that prison cafeterias are better festooned. my husband, oh he of iron stomach complained of stomach pain once we got home. the man eats two week old leftovers and lives to tell the tale! we won’t be back.

*Review Update* They’ve made some huge changes to the restaurant. The meat quality is way better and their service is awesome. I’m really glad that this place has gotten better.

So you get what you pay for. Place is pretty ugly but if you’re trying to get a quick fix of KBBQ then go. $ 10 is pretty good for what you get. The sides aren’t great, and no egg either. So I mean you get what you pay for here.

Just visited again today. Excellent again. For the price You Cannot beat it. Menu for $ 9.99 is better than most ayce b b q. They now have waiters, not the crabby waitresses like before. They are very attentive and speak English. This is AYCE. THE quality is as good or better than most. Remember it is $ 9.99. In my opinion it is worth more. I have been to other ayce but this place beats them all.

This place is a hit or miss! Sometimes the asian servers would be attentive and sometimes, depending on how busy it is, they would disappear for a while, leaving customers waiting for what they need. Last night, however, was different! All the servers were guys who spoke english and were very attentive. They had professionalism and attended to everything my table needed. The tofu soup was a little watery but who cares as long as the meats are good! 4 stars because we paid $ 9.99 on a Friday night! And it was only 15mins wait. Other kbbq places would exclude squid in their 9.99 /11.99 deal but I was happy squid was part of it. The ambiance was whatever, the restrooms were not as clean, but then again, if you want something cheap, don’t expect too much!

We decided to come today and it was pretty busy because it was Friday night. The price is $ 9.99 again and the service was amazing. It must have been a team effort because every server who came to our table was very polite and efficient!!! We have been here many times before, and I admit the price was enough for us to come despite the inadequate service previously. I don’t know if this place is under new management oe ownership, but they definitely have stepped up their Korean BBQ game! You must give it a try if you’re into AYCE, at $ 9.99 what’s there to lose?

The food and great and service is good and the price is just. This is a good place to eat when you don’t really feel like waiting in line that long. So go here and have lunch or dinner here

For a $ 9.99AYCEKBBQ restaurant, this place did a GREATJOB on meeting that $ 9.99 worth of quality of food, service, and ambiance. In that sense I would give this place all five stars for doing what they exactly planned to do. So before you walk in, you should expect to be served and to eat food of $ 9.99 value. The owner would run out of business if this place charges only this much to treat us better just like other higher quality KBBQ restaurants that charges $ 25, right? I give a zero star for the service. Not wearing uniform shows an unprofessionalism and we almost begged to get their attention to be served. Slow pace and lack of enthusiasm were icing on a cake. But I shouldn’t be disappointed because this is what I expected to get from eating a $ 9.99 bbq. Here’s another zero star for the ambiance. They did not give a single care on the interior design to impress us. Again, this place is only $ 9.99! Lastly I’m simply thankful to say that I didn’t eat a garbage. Meat was a mediocre qualify and I didn’t have a problem with it, but side dishes weren’t impressive at all and servers didn’t bother to refill them. I was okay with limited types of meats because even I have millions of choices of meats to choose at better KBBQ places, I usually just end up getting the few types that I always go for anyways. Just keep in mind that you’re getting what you paid for!

This doesn’t even deserve a star at all after this horrible dinner experience. I knew it was going to be busy night since it is the only AYCEKBBQ for $ 9.99 around this area but honestly that doesn’t give you an excuse to just have two servers, one cleaning person, one lazy ass owner and one semi-lazy owner as well. Either give your workers more hours or hire more people. This is flipping ridiculous. Waited an hour just to be seated and when finally seated, was being totally ignored by the workers and even when the sever saw us sitting there with an empty table, they didn’t even bother approaching us. What even got me more pissed was that the server was going around each table asking for last call orders since they were closing their kitchen and didn’t even knowledge us and decide to skip our table. I get that your trying to run a business but have less worker on a busy night makes it look really bad.

No. Just no. Don’t do it to yourself. I’m being a friend by not allowing anyone else to do to them what I did to myself. My dad was enticed by this place strictly by the price. I knew better. I entertained him and came here. Wow. Disaster. Poor food quality. Poor service. Poor facilities. Poor everything. The only good thing was parking. The service is non existent. The lady was on her phone the entire time. We sat there needing more sides and good. She didn’t help. They do give you a large quantity of meats in one order but quality over quantity. The side dishes were so basic. Our grill caught on fire. Like literally caught on fire. They didn’t really do anything about it. Do yourself a favor and just pay the money and get something that is worth it.

This place is sadly getting worse and worse. Yes, $ 9.99 is a good price for kbbq but BEWARE. I think my visit today will be my last visit here. My friends and i get here and they sit us at a sticky table with meat on the table(Not to mention all the tables around us was not bussed). We sit for a while and one of the servers comes over and LAUGHS at how there is meat on the table while grabbing it off with his own hands. Furthermore, there was a missing chair that we had to grab ourselves since they were taking too long to grab it for us. To add on, we ordered beef brisket and beef belly and they said the beef belly would take 30mins because it needs to defrost. 30mins later… STILL no beef belly. Same thing with water. Waited forever and when we got them… the lids were unwashed and dirty. We got a new one, my friend poured her water and their was dirt in her«freshly poured water.» A person at another table was GRABBING their own dishes and water because the 2 servers working apparently don’t know anything about customer service. Also, rice we had to wait for as well, our second round of meat was already cooking and we had no rice. Not to mention… we had NO sauce dishes for our entire meal. Apparently the reason at first was because the dishwasher was washing them but??? NEVER got them. This place needs a reality check. Worst kbbq experience I’ve ever had. I wish I didn’t have to put one star.

The reason why I decided to drive 28 miles out to Rowland Heights because of this $ 10 deal. I was tempted to tell Mother T. that the same deal exist in Koreatown, but apparently I have learned that craziness/stubbornness runs in the family. If you’re looking for a cheap meal, then come to New House of Korea, but don’t expect the best of the best; that includes food and service. It’s been a hot moment since I’ve been to Castle, so can’t really compare both places because that would be unfair. The first thing that I noticed was how spacious the restaurant was, like really spacious, at least the entire middle section was EMPTY. You could have easily put another row of tables/exhaust fans, but for some odd reason, they decided not to. Service was mixed; I had placed my name on the board, went to the nearby market and came back. The hostess told me that our table was already set up and rushed up to our seats. Granted, there wasn’t a long wait, so props to that. I noticed that we had to ask for our water, while everyone else got theirs when they first sat down. Our hot plate was changed midway without us asking(and our plate wasn’t too burnt with food). Also, when I requested the beef belly, I thought the server had forgotten about us, until a few minutes later, I see the server bringing it out. Would have been nice if he told us it will take a few moments. Food was mixed as well; the banchan were meh. The meat itself wasn’t too bad, then again you’re paying for what you’re eating. Not too many sauce choices, as my weapon of choice was some red chili sauce along with some vinegar and sesame oil. Tofu soup was off, like something didn’t taste right with the flavoring. And they had X’ed out the steamed egg option. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth driving the 28 miles back and forth for this, as Castle would have been a closer choice. Maybe I’ll take Mother T. there and tell her that she’s insane to make me drive so far for food.(Or maybe I take my foodie adventure gene after her.)

How can you go wrong with $ 9.99 Korean BBQ! I love this place. They have such a nice selection of meats and the meat sauce is the perfect compliment. The beef brisket is my favorite. The steamed egg is pretty good as well. Tip: don’t judge a book by its cover. The place looks a little sketchy but the food will surly change your mind

UMMMMMMMMMM $ 9.99AYCEKBBQSTILLEXISTS!!! During my time at west la, I frequented ktown– the land of many possibilities… of kbbq. First was Tahoe’s with their expensive kbbq of subpar quality. Then an overwhelming number of $ 9.99AYCEKBBQ came to my knowledge. Family dinner? $ 9.99 kbbq Bday part? $ 9.99 kbbq. I’m so damn hungry but am broke? $ 9.99 kbbq. Basically it was my BFFL. Slowly, the prices creeped up to $ 11.99 and the meat selection went down to just brisket. I THOUGHTWEWEREOVER and rebounded to $ 17AYCEKBBQ with cool meats. Then I discovered this restaurant when perusing this Korean plaza. It was 1pm on a Thursday and it was very empty. They have a vast meat selection(look at the Unilocal picture of the menu for details). Do not order the New York Steak. It is literally a shaving of a steak lol. Their banchan was AWESOME!!! Everything I liked was there: potato salad, kimchi, kimchi radish, acorn jelly, EGGPLANT(they never have that), and soybean kimchi. Their tofu soup was pretty good as well, and their steamed egg. They always kept our meat plate and banchan filled. I will be back!

No. Plain and simple. No. Short version — bad –Oily, greasy tables, chairs, menus, sauce bottles, everything was so oily. –non-existent service. –poor quality meat, even for $ 9.99 standard. –bad banchan Short version — good — cheap $ 9.99 for pretty good selection –comes with New York steak, 1 per person Why, why, why must I live so far from Ktown where $ 9.99 ayce korean BBQ is abundant and actually good? So New House of Korea boasts $ 9.99 ayce korean BBQ all day, everyday, from what I know it is the only $ 9.99 ayce place within the surrounding area. If anyone knows of another $ 9.99 ayce place in the area please, please, please let me know. I am usually a fan of $ 9.99 ayce places because I like to stuff my face for cheap and I have a rather healthy appetite. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be coming back to New House of Korea for my ayce cravings even with the cheap price. The entire table was covered in oil, not to mention the menu, sauce bottles and everything else in the little basket on the table. Service was non-existent but that’s usually to be expected at super cheap Kbbq places. Meat was low quality and not good at all. Brisket was super chewy but thankfully not ridiculously fatty like other $ 9.99 places. The marinade for their bulgogi and chicken was pretty much all pepper and not good at all. The only good meat in the meal was the one piece of New York steak they give each table. If you are starving and do not care about quality and just want quantity, then come here. I probably will not be back. I do not think other people share a similar train of thought though as they were packed during dinner time. So who knows, give it a try, maybe you will enjoy it.
