Second times here eating at this location. The food was so bad both times. I ordered the 3 items combo: The bbq beef was too hard, the kalbi was too chewy, and the chicken was not fresh. Won’t come back!

We always get good food, good service and the family meal is a good amount of food for us. As a bonus the kids love the food, so nothing goes to waste.

It’s pretty hard to screw up spam and eggs, but they sure did! Eggs over cooked this much should be thrown out! This was my first time here… and last

Foods good but service is terrible. I came in and asked for 2 number 1s and paid. When I get my order I was told they were the Chicken Katsu so I told them I didn’t want them since I asked for the normal chicken. The lady(Jasmin) goes back and tells them to swap the chicken out and in Spanish says I said mockingly«yea I just changed my mind I want the number 1s instead» and they all laugh. Well I told her that wasn’t nice and I didn’t say that and that she had made a mistake so I’m not sure why she’s mocking me, in Spanish. Her face got red and came up with some bs excuse that she wasn’t making fun of anyone and she said the cooks made a mistake. Whatever. I as short on time but next time I’ll talk to the manager. Good luck Jasmin.

The food was yummy I just have one COMPLAINT, they charged me 9 $ for a plate of cabbage ! I ordered a mini meal and it came with half a scoop of rice and macaroni it was literally a small spoonful I should of checked before I took it home, skimp you on your sides and gave me mostly cabbage ! :(

This place is usually great and I ALWAYS choose Ono instead of any other Hawaiian BBQ places due to the fact that their pieces of chicken Katsu are always meaty and I don’t have to pay for extra sauce. Today I went there and ordered to-go. I had 2 pieces of chicken katsu that were all just FRIEDBREADCRUMBSNOCHICKENINSIDE. AND The actual chicken was so thin, dry and seemed old. I really disappointed. This is my go-to spot for Hawaiian BBQ and I don’t know why they would serve me that.

Food here was a tad worse than I expected. I ate here while my lady got her hair done at the hair salon in this plaza. The chicken katsu was heavy on the oil and tasted too oily. You definitely can’t eat here that often, otherwise you’ll get a heart attack someday from clogged arteries. Don’t think I’ll come back here again…

#44 is so good and comes with A LOT of food. I love swapping out the cabbage and macaroni with more rice then dipping the bbq chicked and beef into 2 cups of teriyaki saice and mixing with as much rice as possible, and dipping all the katsu in 2 cups of katsu aauce, best sombination ever, PLEASECLOSELATER!

Been coming here almost every Saturday for the past few months. Island fire chicken with no veggies, extra mac. This place is really clean and employees never give an attitude and always greet customers. The best part is if you’re still not satisfied, you can always go next door and get them Starbucks!

Hawaiian style plate lunch!!! Way better than L&L, I should know since I’m from hawaii. I use to go to the original L&L in liliha but the ones on the mainland is junk everytime I go. I now go to Ono’s because the food is more consistent and has better quality and taste imo except the spam musubi LOL

I always go to this place to get lunch. But today, I ordered Hawaii Beef, no macaroni, more vegetables. However, I only get rice and beef. That is not what I ordered. Highly recommend, check your order before you leave!!! Better not order over the phone. The staff always gets it wrong.

O NO! Went to Ono for dinner tonight and as I was scooping my FAVORITE part — the macaroni salad — there was HAIR! I am so sad, appalled, angry, disgusted. No more macaroni salad for me tonight.

Food is very good, meat are fresh and delicious. Coworker took us here, not sure why the rating is not higher. Taste a lot better than places with 4 or 5 stars. Will definitely come again.

I came here on a rare stormy Southern California Saturday while getting Starbucks next door. There was only a handful people dining in. However, the workers were all busy taking phone orders. I ordered the Chicken Combo since I was starving. The combo was $ 8 and change. It comes with both Teriyaki Chicken and Chicken Katsu, white rice and macaroni salad. The Chicken Katsu was delicious. It’s deep fried so it’s hard to mess that up. I find the Teriyaki Chicken was a bit too salty though. I find myself having to eat it with heaping spoon of steamed white rice to make it palatable. The cabbage was cut too large and not too tasty. But for fast food, this is way better than MacDonald’s or KFC.

My occasional cravings for Hawaiian BBQ can easily be satisfied by Ono’s or L&L’s, depending on what’s closer. Well, Ono is just THAT much closer than L&L’s…I’m not going into the damn mall just for L&L’s. Eh, might have to this time around. Ono’s certainly hits the spot. Only two things I’ve ever gotten from here are the(1) chicken katsu, which you really can’t screw up, and(2) Hawaiian BBQ chicken, which has the right amount of sweet flavor(and they give you a TON). I’m just not a fan of the fact that the cabbage they put on the bottom of the meat is so soggy. Unless you eat your food quickly, your meat is going to be swimming in water. No thanks man, no thanks. And also, no brown rice? Seriously? Come on, this is 2013, everyone has brown rice by now. That said, their macaroni salad is still literal freaking crack. I can’t stop coming here because of that salad, it’s just too god damn good.

Pro: a good portion of grilled chicken with the asian salad Cons: — They don’t have loco moco — their cabbage is large pieces rather than sliced up — not enough katsu in the plate combo. the cabbage took up most of the space — crab rangoon tasted off. and was HARD
