This place is called Red Castle and I was here for the first week into its transition from Bulgogi House. I’m so sad because they used to have the BEST macaroni salad, and BEST brisket… But something happened and their meat is terrible. Smaller portions and very gristly. The service has gone downhill. I asked for some rice and had to ask 2 different servers until I finally got it. Had to ask 3 more for a refill. And had to wait about 15 minutes to get the check. This used to be the best KBBQ location and now it’s dead to me.

Like another poster said, this is no longer Bulgogi House. It is now Red Castle 3. Positive — 3 levels of AYCE(A: $ 10.99, B: $ 13.99, C: $ 16.99). Even at $ 16.99, it is still considerably cheaper than Moodaepo or Gen nearby. I suppose KBBQ competition is tough in the RH area. The meat is actually very decent for the price. I would have easily rated that 4.5 stars alone. At $ 16.99, the selection is extensive and has every kind of meat that I want. We asked for half portion of all of our orders so we could try more variety. The staff are generally very friendly and service is reasonably quick even at peak hours. They tried to memorize customers’ orders on the spot; at times they forgot an item but they would bring it back upon our reminder. Negative/Mixed — The grill area is very tiny. It initially took forever to heat up and we couldn’t cook much at the same time. Unless you have a big enough party(2-grill table), you are likely to be stuck with a small grill. K-Pop MVs are looped on TV but are muted. Décor is dated and chairs aren’t really that comfortable. They don’t really bother me as I was only there to eat.

THISISNOLONGERBULGOGIHOUSE! It is now called Red Castle 3. They have three different AYCE selections. A — 10.99, B– 13.99 and C-16.99 All prices are available ALLDAY. Also they do not have tofu soup anymore, it has been replaced with miso soup. The meat quality was good and the service was fast and friendly. Overall the restaurant looks exactly the same and is still nice and clean. The portions of meat are smaller now, but it doesn’t matter since it’s AYCE you just need to call on them more. They weren’t very busy on the Friday night that we went, but there was a steady stream of customers that came and went. Didn’t need to wait at all! Surprising for 8pm on a Friday night. I definitely would return, I really like the A and B menus if I want to be cheap and stuff myself I can. Oh yah they play K Pop on all their TVs, I don’t care for the stuff, but by the end of my meal it started to grow on me haha.

Birthday celebration with the family for a Sunday lunch. We had a party of 11 people and they take reservations so that was great! Half our party was there at the time of the reservation so we were able to be seated. They were kind enough to give us 4 grills which worked out perfectly because the grills are not that big. Unfortunately, no one came to take our first orders so we sat there starving. After getting their attention, our server was very on top of things. He did forget a few things here and there but, having to remember all the orders for 11 people AND for another party that was a lot larger than ours, I give him props. TheIr food options are good. They have a lot of varieties and you aren’t limited to the ones you can chose from like at some other kbbq places. We got a bunch of their short ribs, bulgogi, and brisket. Their marinated meats are very good as well, lots of flavor. **Disclaimer** The free soda with check-in offer isn’t valid apparently. It’s a mess up on their system which, I think they should still validate. It’s just soda!

This AYCEKBBQ place was decent but certainly not a favorite. There are two sets you can order from and we ordered from the more expensive one, because my wife wanted Bulgogi, which is only on the more expensive set. Which makes no sense because bulgogi is usually on the basic menu for most other AYCE kbbq we’ve been to, and with a name like Bulgogi house, you’d think there’d be no exception. They ran out of radish patties. Lame. Condiments included spicy sauce, a gross sour marinade, and salt an oil. The service was really attentive.(Though they got our first order wrong.) We ordered 3 Miso soups and specifically said we didn’t want rice. They gave us 2 Miso soups and 2 bowls of rice. Everything else was fine. Miso soup was odd. Served in a tea cup, had a lot of green onions. I’m not a miso soup expert or anything, but this wasn’t memorable. Bulgogi also wasn’t memorable, despite being called bulgogi house… Actually none of it was exceptionally outstanding EXCEPT maybe the Rib Fingers. However; you get what you pay for, and this is a relatively inexpensive KBBQ place which if this is your kind of thing. More power to you! Overall, here’s the deal, Service is actually pretty good, but the quality of meat is exactly what I’d expect out of the price point. For me personally, I’d pay the extra $ 5 or $ 6 to get higher quality meat, but if you and a couple friends want to go HAM on some pork belly, this is a good spot to do it on a budget. Don’t let that discourage you though, because I really don’t have a problem with this place being here, and may come back in the future if circumstances happen to bring me here. Not on my recommended list though.

So apparently they changed owners and now they are called Red Castle. The menu is cheaper, they offer a 10.99 A menu, 13.99 B menu and 16.99 C menu. But they don’t have what I consider some key items; PORKBULGOGI, BEEFSPICYTOFU. If you can live without those(and others that I don’t care for anyways) than it will be worth it for you. Me personally, won’t come here again unless they offer those items. Overall the quality of the food is the same as when it was Bulgogi House so that’s a plus. SERVICE: So service is honestly horrible. Waiters are not allowed to help each other so we were waiting constantly for our waiter to wait on us just for simple refills. Then waited almost 15 minutes be charged :/finally just scrapped enough cash to just leave it at the table and leave

My favorite spot for AYCE kbbq. The Place — This restaurant is located in a very busy plaza. Sometimes parking is very difficult. Especially weekends at night or during lunchtime. The interior is ok. Not as nice as Gen or Wang Cho but I’m not here for that. The bathrooms need work aesthetically and the toilets need to be more stable as they always have a «do not flush tissue» sign in the stall. But again, not here to review that. They have tvs everywhere either playing sports games(usually basketball or football) or KPOP music videos or concerts. Don’t usually have a long wait at all. I rarely have to wait for a table for 2. Larger parties, possibility of waiting is higher. The Service — I’ve been coming to this location since 2013. They’ve changed almost the whole staff since then. I created a lot of bonds with the original staff and management(Bianca). And knew everyone’s name and was recognized as a regular. But a lot of people have left since then and I stopped going because of it. The replacement management wasn’t good. Tried changing the way things worked around there and they lost a lot of business and their food quality went down. But after a few months to a year, they have ANOTHER new set of management and people. They changed the prices and menu(probably because Gen opened nearby) and now it’s less than $ 20 for everything on one menu.(Before it was $ 18 for regular menu. $ 22 for premium menu). The only OG server I recognize is Gina. She’s AWESOME. Love her. She always remembers our regular order and is always checking up on us even if someone else is our server. The Food — On point. Brisket at most places is usually dry and tough. Their prime brisket here is so bomb. Fatty and moist. The Prime boneless rib is my favorite beef item. Very tender. I get it non marinated cus I like to taste the meat rather than the marinade. And then there’s the Pork Jowl. Very chewy in a good way: my boyfriends fave. My fave is the pork belly. The Pork belly is not frozen when it gets to us and tastes so good and is super tender. Especially seasoned with sesame oil and salt and pepper before grilling. The side dishes are bomb, and their tofu stew is bomb. Very close to a tofu house style where they serve it bubbling in the pot. VS at almost all other kbbq spots where they give you a sad bowl of luke warm tofu stew. The Verdict — My favorite go to spot for kbbq. Service, food, price is on point. Just wish it was closer to where I live(Riverside).

Love coming here for AYCEKBBQ! I’ve been here on three occasions and have never had a bad experience. Food comes out fast, service is persistent, and the environment is welcoming. I’ve held back on reviewing this place for quite some time now due to laziness. but TODAYISTHEDAY… The price of KBBQ can range from $ 15-$ 25+ but in an area like Rowland Heights, $ 20, is about the average price for good AYCEKBBQ. Food: You can never go wrong with anything marinated… unless you undercook the chicken. So recommendations would be: marinated beef, marinated pork, bugolgi, and brisket. Love their unlimited sides! From their salad to their sweet mash potatoes, everything is delicious. My ideal way of eating this is to lay out the rice paper, put some salad, add the meat, and roll it up! Service: I’ve always had good experiences with the staff here. They definitely stop by our table more often than any other KBBQ place I’ve been to. Price: $$. The typical price for good AYCEKBBQ nowadays. It ranges from $ 15 for lunch to $ 23 for their premium menu. Venue: If you’ve never had KBBQ before, prepare yourself to smell like meat the rest of your night. Smoke will fill the room and seep through every strand of hair and through your clothes to your underwear. The venue is fairly large and great for groups between 2 — 10. I’ve been here with a group of nearly 20 and they seated us in the back with no problem. It’ll just be difficult to communicate to others at the table. Parking: The lot is shared with several other shops so parking isn’t too bad but also isn’t great. However, it is free.

Boyfriend got the kbbq craving so we Unilocaled it and ended up at the Bulgogi House. We walked pass the front desk since there wasn’t anyone there to greet us. Once we walked in, the servers were a little slow to seat us. But right after being seated, we were attended to right away and ordered our drinks. The service was great after being seated. The servers were attentive and friendly. When they saw we placed our last slices of meat on the grill or ran out of salad, they came by to see if we would like anything else. The ayce dinner pricing goes by two menu list: Deluxe($ 18.99) or Premium($ 22.99). We went with the Deluxe menu. Our first order were the Prime Brisket and the regular Brisket. The Prime Brisket had more fat. The regular Brisket tasted more gamey, but in a good way. Both meat had great flavor. The Rib Fingers and Top Sirloin Steak were mediocre. The grill and briskets were the star players. The grill made it easy to cook the meat just the way we like it, slightly crispy edges on our briskets while still juicy. There were the normal dishes for Banchan, no fish cake. The salad was fresh and sweet. I am a brisket lover and I would definitely come back here just for the consistent good quality of the brisket. I do feel heartbroken that they do not serve ice cream anymore like how it shows on one the pictures on Unilocal. It would have been the cherry on top to finish the meal with.

It’s delicious! Love the service Even though we are a large party, the staff catered to our needs with a smile. If we needed help they would come. And even though we practically order the same thing over and over again they would provide with no problem. The environment is okay and the Korean music videos are cool to watch too. 10 out 10 would come again when I have more money: p
