We used to go to FFY noodle for steamed vege dumplings, very sad they went out of business recently. Saw in Chinese paper today this place, decided to give it a try. They dont have steamed vege dumplings, only steamed beef dumplings. We ordered that, skins are very dry, no good. Also had leek pockets, not that great either. Sole with cilantro boiled dumplings are good. They do freshly make all dumplings to order on the site. The service was very poor and awkward. I filled out order form, no one came to pick up for a long time. So I gave to this young man at cashier. He was busy eating his own lunch. Not only did not accept my order, he did not even acknowledge me at all, like I was interrupting his lunch. SORUDE!!! He must be the new young owner FOB, no manners dont know anything about customer service in the states. So I just left the order on the counter not sure he would even give to the kitchen. He left with another young lady shortly after at 1pm during lunch time, they got be the owners. When we finished, no one could give us bill for a long time too. I walked up to the kitchen area asked for the bill and boxes twice before some cook came out and gave me the boxes/bill. So weird! We drove 40 miles to try this place, very disappointed. So so food, rudest service ever!

This restaurant reminds me of how restaurants in rural areas of China are decorated… sparse and empty. The menu is fairly basic… dumplings, noodles, soup, buns, and appetizers. We ordered the three flavor fried dumplings, noodles in meat sauce, lamb soup, and pork/cabbage buns, and jellyfish appetizers. The jellyfish appetizer is delicious! Fresh, crunchy, garlicky, and tasty. The fried dumplings are average. The lamb soup was delicious and brothy. The pork/cabbage buns were ok. The noodles were tasty but the greasiest noodles I’ve ever had… my friend says that’s how it’s made in China… the entire bottom ¼ of the bowl was oil, and the noodles sitting in the oil was not appetizing. Service was basic. This would be a 4 star restaurant if the décor and service were better. Cash only. All in all, not memorable… but I’d eat here again when it’s convenient.

Qing Bao Bread Food has a limited menu that offers hefty, quality food at good prices, even if the service leaves a bit to be desired as it can be a bit indifferent to the needs of guests. For $ 7.95, I had the pork noodle soup which was no disappointment — imagine a big bowl of beef noodle soup but with chunks of pork that have been marinated almost the same exact way. The hand made noodles had a good amount of bounce to them and soaked up the savory broth as any well-made oodles of noodles do. We also had the steamed fish and leek dumplings which were pretty large on a piece by piece basis and complimented well by a thick garlic dipping sauce. I would still come back to this place because I think the food is a win but a note to the people running this place — lighten up and please remember to ask guests what they would like to drink! Qing Dao is located in a small plaza and while the restaurant isn’t small, there doesn’t seem to be as much seating as there could be given the space. I’m still wondering what makes this«Bread» food.
