Very delicious and fresh food! The waiters are super friendly and fast! Fast as in they have fast reaction and fast response. They knew what i need right before i said anything. Not to mention great services! Will come back for more! :)

This was my family dinning room for about three to four years, but thing changed about a year ago. They started this special – free any drink with any meals, lunch or dinner. Business was good. However, the special did not last long because it kills the drink bar with too many orders and take away one of the real profit maker of a restaurant – strike one. Then they start to sell lobster special, but will not sell premium broth lobster. Because if the lobster is dead, the after taste can not be covered up. So they are selling dead lobster instead of live lobster – strike two. The last time I was there. We ordered a clay pot rice. They can not delivery because the cook added to much water – strike three. I have not return since. This place is gone. Move on.

Very average tasting Hong Kong Cantonese style cuisine. Expensive and small portions of food. Not worth your money. If you are in this area(Rowland Hts), there are other restaurants that sells tastier and Inexpensive Hong Kong style cuisine than this place. Only good thing is free drink refills for dine in and one plate free Hong kong egg puff.

This is long overdue, been passing by here for years, finally giving it a try today. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, just like some Unilocalers described, very clean, spacious and modern, just makes feel like I can take my time and enjoy my food here, unlike some Chinese restaurants you just want to hurry up finish and leave. The menu selection is also as described: Ginormous for lunch special, they have a huge printed 2 side menu and a supplement menu for some dishes for $ 8.99 each, we went a head and ordered more then 2 people’s share just to try out different things. 1. Salted Egg, Fish and ground pork rice in clay pot — 4⁄5 this is a very traditional Hong Kong style rice they used to cook on the side of the steert, all the rice and toppings are cooked together in a clay pot over fire, it’s rare here in LA to get really authentic ones, and this rice dish is not bad here, the rice is flavorful with the toppings and the soy sauce they give you to stir in the rice. 2. E-FU Noodle with XO sauce −5÷5 this is a pan fried noodles with XO sauce and some fresh red chilies and shitaki mushroom, E Fu noodle is a special egg noodle that is flat, and tastes a bit different then regular noodles, this is also a very Hong Kong style dish, but I will have to say this tastes the best here out of all the other similar types of Hong Kong /Cantonese style restaurants. 3. French Style Fish Fillet — 3⁄5 not sure why they call it French style, this dish is breaded fried fish with seasoning, and it’s seasoned with garlic and basil, much tastes like the Three Flavored Chicken, if you have ever tried that and know what I mean. This was not bad but I am not a fan for overly breaded fish, so I will probably not order this again, the beef version will probably be better. 4. Steamed chicken with black fungus and Chinese sausage– 4⁄5 this is a healthier dish since the chicken is steamed, I am a fan of the black fungus and the Chinese sausage also adds flavor to this dish, the only draw back is the chicken is a bit dry, not sure if it was over steamed or maybe the chicken pieces are too small so it’s dried out in the steam process, this was a OK dish but not my type of dish so probably will not order again. Service is better then the other similar types of restaurant, waiters were polite and friendly, they will bring you what you need right away if you ask for it, and the attitude is good, unlike my experiences at the other similar restaurants. Over all I really like this place, I will definitely come back here to try the other items on their menu.

This place was okay. The House Chicken was too boney and not much meat. Grilled pork chop with lemon grass were good. I like their iced tea was strong and not watered down. Service were good and the place looked modern and clean.

I found a worm in my vegetable dish today and talked to the manager there. When I showed it to him, the waiter took it away so fast before I can take a picture of it. The manager said this was out of his control. Worms are normally found in vegetables. There is nothing he could have done. Seriously?! What an asshole! He didn’t even attempt to apologize. Bad food, bad service! Don’t go!

Food is Good. But. I got say that they can’t speak English and we have a very Hard Time communicating them. They tried talking in their Language to everyone so we were really confused and. They Would always say Nevermind when we asked what they meant. I’m not sure about the service. They just seem out of it and just go on with their ways.

Summary: solid and consistently good Hong Kong café food. Like any HK café, their menu is ginormous. Don’t be intimidated, picking a dish from one of the photos and you won’t go wrong. But here are some recommendations: — Hong Kong milk tea(hot or cold) — baked pork chop with Portuguese sauce — braised noodles(yee mein) — French-style filet mignon(it’s not really French, but it’s good) BONUS: when you order a certain amount, they throw in a FREE gai dan zai(HK style egg waffle), soup, or pork chop. TIP: make sure they hear your food and drink order clearly. One time we ordered a hot milk tea and iced coffee, and got an iced milk tea and hot coffee…

This is a solid Cantonese café! It’s located in a ghetto plaza and resides next to a 99 Cent Store, but don’t let that deter you! The inside of the restaurant is surprisingly clean, well-kept, and bright. I haven’t been here for dinner yet, but their lunch(from 11 – 3, 7 days of the week) is extremely reasonably priced and the portion sizes are generous. I’ve tried their chow fun, which came with lots of pieces of beef and was extra flavorful because they use dark soy sauce to prepare it. I’ve also tried their French style fish filet, which is an interesting take on traditional French style filet mignon cubes. The fish is nicely fried and very pepper-y with a bit of a spicy kick, but I definitely still prefer beef over fish for this. Their beef stew wonton noodle soup is also pretty good, although it’s a bit on the blander side, but it comes with a lot of shrimp wontons, tons of thin egg noodles, a decent amount of beef, and some vegetables for good balance. Their lunch menu has 90 items or so to choose from, so there’s quite a wide variety — everything from chicken to beef to noodles to claypot rice to fried rice to porridge to soup, etc. Like most Canto cafés, you can add a drink to your entrée for only $ 1.75 and it’s refillable. I always get the iced lemon tea, which is super refreshing and light… but if I’m in the mood for something more caffeinated, then I like the Thai tea, even though it’s pretty watered down here. They also have the HK style egg waffles here, which I’ve actually never tried anywhere else, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. But I really like this! It’s basically a thin, crispy waffle with egg-shaped puffs that are soft and chewy. The taste is very simple and straightforward — basically tastes like a plain waffle that’s lightly sweetened to Asian tastebuds. I could totally eat this for breakfast, as a snack, or even as a dessert. It’s pretty freaking delicious! This is definitely one of my new favorite spots in Rowland Heights. In the immortal words of The Terminator, I’ll be back!

My girlfriend’s family invited me to eat here for lunch. This place is family style so it is better to come in a bigger group so everyone can share. The portions are pretty generous and the food was pretty amazing. IF my memory serves me correctly, we got… 1) tofu/mushroom clay pot 2) cold shredded chicken 3) fried pork chops 4) walnut shrimp 5) garlic green beans 6) chicken wings 7) beef dish… I think it was filet mignon, it was super tender and soft. To be honest, I really enjoyed everything. But the things that stuck to me the most was probably shredded chicken. Considering it wasn’t a hot dish, it was really really good. OH and the drinks are refillable! So I got thai tea, I think I got like 3? And you can ask for a to-go cup for the drink! That alone is pretty awesome. I never been to a place that gives you refillable thai tea, on top of that a to go cup for it too. The inside is super nice and clean. Good food, refillable thai tea, good company. I am definitely coming back, given that I am invited to eat here with them again.

Service is not the most friendly. However, the staff is prompt and to the point. Generous food portions that’s always served quickly and hot. Flavors are on the heavier side. I think they use a lot of MSG. So if you are sensitive to MSG this is not the place for you. Free small soup with orders over $ 19.99 Free pork chop with orders over $ 39.99 Free half a chicken with orders over $ 59.99

This is probably the cleanest HK style café I’ve ever been to in all my years here in LA county area trust me when I say I’ve been to a lot. It might be cuz this place is still relatively new and not necessarily in an area that ppl request for food. The food here is good. Your usual HK café fare. They do have this XO sauce udon that is my absolute favorite. I’ve tried recreating it at home but it’s just not the same. They have some really good fried rice too. Pretty much can’t go wrong with anything you order there. I like that it never gets too crowded during the weekdays. And it’s close to work for me to even better. This place is my go to lunch place during the work week. The price decent. A tad pricier than other HK cafes but I’d gladly pay that for the cleanliness.

This is by far the rudest place. They carve a tiny room in the back to ‘maximize ’ their occupancy. My entire family of 5 were shove back to back touching another family. I saw an table leaving in the main common area and wanted to move over. This manager looking tool told me the table is ‘reserved’. I left and gone down the block to Hk gardens.

— Locale Destination — It’s on Colima Rd and Nogales St in Rowland Heights. It’s in a big shopping center, right next to 99 cent store. Inside is roomy, clean with«A» sign, modern décor, kinda cute in white and green, nicer than usual around here. Plenty of parking. Amenities: TVs but in Chinese ;( They have some plugs but many of them were covered ;( Free Wi-Fi! But slow like everyone else. Network: Tasty station, Password — 6268103600(their phone number) Service: Quick, not so attentive, nicer for their own people. They speak little English. Maybe they do speak English, but didn’t seem to try speaking English. Well, I’m Asian(Japanese kind) and he assumed I was Chinese and spoke to me in Chinese non stop. Menu: I think menu looks pretty interesting. Wide varieties — appetizers, soup, porridge, hot pot, entrees, noodles and drinks. I wanna try more. The menu has lots of pictures, which is always cool. I think it’s a bit more expensive than others(the portion is smaller), but seasonings are interesting. Lunch time seems to be a better deal. — Gluttony Expedition — French style filet mignon: The beef was tender, but more like«tender» due to the fat I think. I’m not a fan of this meat quality. It’s very«black peppery» spicy — good flavor. It went well with the HK egg waffle. I wish they put more lettuce and onions at the bottom of the beef. Not bad. It’s kinda small portion(compared to other restaurants, but good enough for me). HK style egg waffle: it’s kinda dry and sweet(not too sweet) bite size waffle. It’s under appetizer but this cld be a dessert. I see those at shaved snow/boba tea places. It’s great to numb the spiciness from main dishes and/or as a light snack. Not bad. Iced lemon tea: Very sweet and lots of lemon in it. I need to dilute it with ice — a bit too sweet by itself. It’s free with a dinner item(not for porridge nor noodle). Thai iced tea has the same deal(but I can’t drink it too much because it’s ridiculously sweet in general). Free refill drink is always good. — Conqueror’s Deduction — 3.5 stars. It’s better to bring lots of people so that you can try more items. It’s good that Chinese places offer«big portion» in general, but not good for someone who doesn’t like a doggy bag and needs«small portion» like me. I think they got interesting seasonings and interesting items. I wanna try more.

I decided that I had to try this place purely for the HK style waffle(chicken egg cake). So I dragged some buddies out here. What we ordered: Spicy Salt Calamari: Really great, perfectly salted. French Style Filet Mignon: BOMB. The meat was so tender and flavorful. Stir Fried Clams with Basil Sauce: The sauce was good, but the clams were giant… which make them more fishy to me. I guess I just like small clams. Stir Fried On Choy: This is normally my favorite vegetable, but it was not good. The vegetables themselves were not fresh and it showed. Sad day. Lemon Iced Tea: Par for the course, can’t beat free drink with an entrée and free refills. HK Waffle: So good and nostalgic we ordered a second one after we killed the first. As for service… When we arrived at the restaurant there were only a couple other tables there. We ordered quickly and food arrived quickly. But after that it took some vigorous arm flailing to get someone’s attention, whether it be for the waffle dessert. the 2nd waffle dessert and finally the check. But hey, you don’t go to Chinese restaurants for the service, so I’ll be back.

A lot of people have been talking about this place, so I decided to give it a try. Food quality is there. Some of the dishes are a little pricey, but at least the portions are good. It’s not located in the most popular plaza. It’s right next to a Korean restaurant and the 99cent store. I ordered Green Beans with X.O. Sauce. I suggest getting it with XO sauce as opposed to getting it plain because it gives the dish a spicy kick, which I love! It’s my favorite Chinese dish and I’m very satisfied with their version. Also ordered the Singapore style fried vermicelli vegetarian. It had a hint of curry which I appreciated. Their most popular items are the french style fish filet/filet mignon. I’ve had the filet mignon at different places and wanted to try the fish version. For this dish, they basically fry the fish and pour the black pepper sauce over it. If anything the fish is a little soggy because the outside is fried, but the flavor is scrumptious! Each entry or appetizer comes with a free drink! Choices included lemon tea, thai tea, milk tea, and soda. The drinks are hong kong style, so don’t expect the standard 626 milk tea flavor. The lemon tea is a little sweet for my liking. I liked the hong kong milk tea-strong!
