Dr. Sylvia and Kim (her receptionist) are the best! They were both really accommodating. I wanted to switch my 2pm appointment to 12pm and I did just two hours before 12pm on the same day! Isn’t that great? Besides being super accommodating, the prices are great too (compared to Costco and Walmart). Dr. Sylvia was also very nice and professional. She answered all my questions and was very patient with me (took me roughly 15 mins to put contacts on one eye D:). The place is also very clean and well organized which is a plus! :)

Found this place on Unilocal when I needed an immediate prescription. The doctor is friendly as is the receptionist. Highly recommend!

Dr Yun is who you want to take care of your eyes.
I was able to get a next-​day appointment for Wednesday on Tuesday afternoon. She and her staff gave me a professional eye exam at the same price that Costco optometrists offer. During the exam, she diagnosed me with a lazy left eye, which my previous optometrists have never thought to mention (the last one just said I had a really bad left eye)!
Additionally, I came back 3 hours later for a follow up consultation because I was worried about undiagnosed double vision in my left eye. Dr. Yun patiently explained I was not having double vision because my severe astigmatism, even corrected, caused a vertical blurring that was normal. She brought out a case of adjustable lenses and let me try on various prescriptions to alleviate my concerns. She definitely goes the extra mile for her patients, especially excessive worriers.
I came here because I thought the price was good and because I could eat after having my eyes dialated. I will definitely be coming back.

This is kind of a late post, but I go here for my glasses and contacts and the staff here are exceptionally amazing! The front desk worker is very nice and willing to talk to you and Dr. Yun is an outstanding optometrist! I recently got my glasses prescripted there and they did it in less than in hour which was really convenient for me. I recommend this place to anyone who lives in the Rowland Heights area and is looking for a good optometry place. Well, Rowland Optometry is the place to be!

Quickest and best value around (I called a lot of places, including Walmart and Costco). Also open relatively late compared to other places as well as Saturdays which is a big plus if you work weekdays. I called to make an appointment and was given many times to accommodate my needs. Once there, we looked around for a new pair of glasses, the woman at the counter helped out with what was «in style» currently although we went with something more work environment friendly and not so bold in color. The doctor arrived and saw to us about 5min after the appointment time which is impressive when comparing to other doctor offices that lag tremendously. Not too much paper work. The exam itself was what impressed me the most. The doctor was very thorough on every aspect and tested in many other ways then I have ever seen (been wearing glasses for 8 years). She even sent us out to walk with lenses to make sure that he could see accurately without any dizziness or head aches. He needed them as quick as possible for work because he had broken his pair and had no back up. We went on a Saturday and got the glasses Monday morning which was amazing time (they would have had them same day but the lenses were special so they had to send then out). Overall she was an awesome doctor and I will be back soon to get my glasses. Thank you sooo much for understanding our rush to get the glasses! :D

This was probably a mistake to believe in all these 5 stars. My original purpose was to get a prescription for sunglasses, which i did, the shocking thing was that Dr. Yun charged me $ 50 to drill some holes in the poly lenses RIDICULOUS. also stating high index could not withstand the drill. On the same day i met another optometrist saying its possible. The thickness of the finish product looked like magnifying glasses. geeez and Dr yun really your going to say you have a pair yourself? When i decided to check if my sunglasses were done the receptionist said it came in today but it was almost there closing time? Nothing compares to a lack of attention for informing a consumers product when ready to pick up! INOTHING!!! goodluck hope you dont get ripped off!

I was so stressed out, due to complications ordering contacts online. I called Dr. Yun office and they were able to help me resolve the situation. I’m 100% satisfied :) and cannot wait to go back for my yearly exam. So far… the best price around 626 and 909 for eye exam. Thank you Dr. Yun! Your the best!!!

Very cool. Quynah is very sweet and professional. Dr. Choi is a professional and tells it like it is in a polite manner. Both provided my grandparents with the greatest attention they could ask for. My grandmother even said: «The service here is good» as we settled into the car. I’ll be sure to let friends and family know that this place is «Woohoo! As good as it gets!» and I’m especially happy that I was able to help out a local business instead of going to some corporate eyeglass shop. Unilocalers did me right again!

I usually don’t do non-​food places but this place was great. Awesome service. Clean. Up to date on all the procedures. Will definitely return and suggest it to my family.

Been coming here for a while now and can’t say enough about the service. Dr. Yun & Leslie (front office) are awesome! So accommodating and friendly. Called them this morning for an appointment for my annual eye exam and they fit me in same day. They have a great selection of frames (designer brands too) and are knowledgable about their products. Don’t have what you want? They’ll order them for you. They never upsell or pressure you. I’d recommend this place to anybody.

I called Dr. yun’s office to schedule an apt and the friendly receptionist was able to schedule me same day. Dr. Yun is a very knowledgable and nice doctor she explained the pros and cons of contact lenses and made sure I walked out of her office with lots of important info. She is a great listener and does not rush and she is very funny too. Thank you so much Dr. Yun I can see again! :)

I needed an exam for contact lenses so my friend recommended me to try this place. The first thing I noticed was the large inventory of designer glasses. As for the staff, they had a front desk and an optometrist (Dr. Yun) who were both friendly and very knowledgeable. The exam was quick and thorough and I have no complaints with my contacts so far. Overall, I would recommend this place to my friends and family and also for you my fellow Unilocalers!

I walked in on a late Saturday afternoon for my annual check-​up and an updated pair of glasses. The guy working front desk helped me immediately and ran the eye tests after some quick paperwork. Customer service was thorough, quick, and friendly.
Dr. Yun was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable about what would be good for my high prescription. I spent a very long time picking out my frames, and not a moment did I feel rushed. They had a huge selection of nice designer brand frames that made choosing one difficult. Dr. Yun and the front desk receptionist even gave me their knowledgeable and personal opinions about what frames worked for me, with so much patience! After a long process of trying on dozens of glasses, I finally selected a Gucci pair for a very good price. I’m glad I came to Rowland Optometry and I’ll be glad to come again!

This place has a lot of 5 star reviews, but my visit wasn’t a 5 star one.
This place has a decent selection of glasses, more than your average optometrist but its not that big imo. There’s a sign that says Prices are as low as they can be, don’t ask for discount or something along those lines. I thought gave off the we don’t wanna waste our time negotiating with you vibe.
The front desk, is real nice for sure… which is probably why people like to come here. I came for just a checkup, but the guy Thomas gave his best effort to contact my insurance and so that I was able to have the exam on the same day.
The optometrist, Dr. Yun or something, was the thing I didn’t like about the visit. She seemed very annoyed about answering my questions and kept rushing through out the exam. It was at 3PM, there was no one else in the Optometry but the front desk, her, and me.
The search goes on for a better optometrist.

Sorry… I hate to burst into this 5-​star party, but I had a pretty A-​OK experience here. The staff is really nice, but they’re not helpful at all. Not once did they offer to open a glass cabinet for me as I was browsing.
I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts forever and I’ve been to many optometrists. Although I got what I came for, I was just left a bit underwhelmed. They just didn’t seem knowledgeable about my vision plan (even though it’s VSP… a very common and simple insurance), they didn’t know my co-​pay, and when I finally came in to pick up my glasses, there was no fitting… something I think I needed but didn’t realize until I home. I also waited over a week to get my contacts where other places only take a couple of days.
Service with a smile? Yes.
Knowledgeable staff? Meh.
But at the end of the day, I’m still seeing clearly and I got what I paid for.

I only needed replacement glasses (lens and frame) not an eye check up. Decided to try this place out because of the good reviews on Unilocal.
What I liked about them was that they are fast, friendly and don’t frown on the fact that I wanted cheap glasses and not the many expensive designer offerings they have.
What I did not like was that, with all the frames and designer selections in house; their frames all look the same and/​or similar in style. I was hoping for variety, and even willing to pay designer prices if if they have cool frames that are different.
Overall the my experience was not horrible, because I just needed glasses right away. But if I was really SHOPPING for frames and want different options it was not super great. of I give it an OK. Hope this helps a little.
