I needed new lenses for my frameless Oakleys. I’ve had this frame for a while now and the original prescription was old. I didn’t know where to get them replaced since I usually get my contacts at CostCo and they do not work with frameless glasses. A visiting opt at Costco recommended me to JC Optical and with some trepidation I went.
First of all, it’s nice they they aren’t too far away. The customer service there was great. Attention to detail. The staff was extremely nice, courteous and informative. That’s a big deal for me. It’s really nice to see a Taiwanese/​Chinese shop run this well. Also, english may not be their strong suit all the time, but they do make the effort.
JC Optical normally offers a one our service for lens replacement. Mine would take longer since my glasses were frameless and my lens choice was for the Seiko transitions style lenses. It was going to take about a week.
Two weeks after picking up my glasses, everything is great. I don’t have any problems with the lenses and the frames are great. They even threw in a microfiber cleaning cloth and some cleaning solution too.
They mentioned to me that they would be moving sometime in October (2011). Their new location will actually be at the new TS Emporium center by the City of Industry CostCo and Bally’s Fitness. It’s in the same building that the old Levits furniture once was. I don’t know the date, it’s best you call to double check where they are when you plan on visiting.

My first pair was from costco along with my eye exam and compared to the experience at J.C. Optical, costco sucked! Costco was very impersonal didn’t even have great glasses, and the staff over there were less than friendly who didn’t seem to know what they were doing half the time. Never going back to costco ever again!
I’m not much on glasses as I don’t really wear them because I have low prescriptions, but I came across this place while I was shopping in the area. I decided to get a new pair of eye glasses. I haven’t gotten a prescription in 7 years so it’s been awhile. There was a Optometrist upstairs so it was very convenient to get my prescription on the same day and just came downstairs to pick out my glasses at this little shop.
The staff were very nice and helpful. I told them I wanted something simple with little to no frame. They spend a great amount of time with me and were very patient as I rummaged through their store looking for my ideal glasses. They had plenty of suggestions and had even the eye doctor from upstairs come down stairs to give me any additional advice and help that I had questions with.
Over all, everything went smoothly and was great. I picked out my glasses and got them within a week, and they were perfect. The staff were very friendly and told me that I could come back anytime if I needed any adjustments on my new glasses. So to me they went the extra mile and the service there was great with a very friendly staff.

If you want varieties, brand names, glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, whatever it is, you want it, this place got it!
I was first referred to J.C. Optical by my friend when I needed a pair of glasses, I was told if I mention that I saw their Facebook or Unilocal site I would get a discount. And I did indeed!
Now, I will not try to fool you by saying, I pay near to nothing for my glasses. However, for what I paid I know I got a great quality glasses with superb service. The manager and the individual who helped me choosing my glasses were very helpful. They first asked me about what type of glasses I wanted and what the main purpose of the glasses are for. For me since I am a heavy user they suggested that I should get the lightest model. Long story short, I got what I wanted and the staff were VERY helpful!
I was so satisfied with them, I went back and got my aviator sunglasses! Now I can look like Rain, because the aviator covered majority of my face!
