I ordered a hot pot with my friend. It cost $ 76 for two people and its all you can eat. The price is higher than what it worth. Maybe back to try other food next time.

Food is not bad but nothing great about it. The service was not what I expect which basically means it is not good for the ambiance they set this place for…

Food is ok, we ordered Noodle with shrimp, and tofu hot pot is good. Waiters and waitress are not helpful at all, we need to flag them down for anything. Lunch at 1230pm only 3 tables .This restaurant open only for 8 months I been to this Tasty garden in MP, Westminster, they are good.

This is your typical chinese café with a huge menu selection. I came here on a Thursday afternoon at 11am which is when they open. We were the only table there until about noon. I kind of judge chinese restaurants based on their beef chow fun(one of my favs) and they make it very well here. We also ordered porridge, stir fry udon noodles, wonton noodle soup, fish cake noodle soup, claypot rice, and basil clams. Everything tastes like how it’s supposed to, except the claypot rice which was not crispy on the bottom. Oh and they give you these waffle things for free for appetizer! I like that. Their iced lemon tea comes in this cute little glass boot which is very unique… it’s small but they do come by to refill often enough. What makes this place better than your average chinese café is how new and spacious it is, and it’s clean! Something I thought was a bit odd was it seems like they want to /or are a nightclub at night? I could be totally wrong but on the ceiling in the middle are these metal racks that you see in the clubs that hold up the laser lights and speakers. There’s also a huge projection on the wall, which was playing karaōke songs when I was there. No one was singing karaōke at that time of course, but I wonder if they do that at night. Anyways if they do, seems pretty cool to me! The location is a bit hard to find. It’s off the 60 in a plaza behind Motel 6, and it’s all the way in the corner to the right.

Decent food, poor location and the interior looks like it was built as a lounge but halfway through they decided to make a restaurant.

The reason why everyone feels funny about this store as oppose to the other five Tasty Gardens is because this was started by a food and beverage corporation from China – not a local chain restaurant. They did hot pot for six months without much success, so they changed to a Hong Kong style tea café. Later the Chinese conglomerate bought the local chain restaurants, so all six stores are under the same ownership now. I have been here three times, and were disappointed every time. The first time I ordered their Spicy chicken, which was not a good idea. Asking a Cantonese cook to make a Sichuan dish is like asking a fish to swim on the ground – one strike. The second time I had their curry beef, which they used the top choice beef flank steak, but there is a frozen taste to both the beef and potato – strike two. The third time I had their beef chow fun – too much onions and bean spouts – strike three. They are out. No more return visit from me. GAMEOVER.

this is a great restaurant. i’ve been to the monterey park location a few times. their food and service quality was good when it was a new restaurant, but eventually went downhill. i never went there since my last visit. when i heard that this restaurant first opened, i tried it again, during peak hours, and off hours. both times, the food was great, better than monterey park. service is also much more friendlier. also, if there was something wrong, they will let you know why, unlike monterey park. overall, i find this to be a much better alternative to monterey park, and it is much closer to my house, considering i live in the same city.

I don’t know why the rating here is so low! I’ve been here twice and I think it’s pretty comparable to the other tasty gardens!(Mainly Arcadia bc that’s the one I’ve been to) The food is pretty good and very decently priced! The portions are large for the price! Last time we had 8 people and the check came out to be about $ 120 and we had 8 boxes of to go food leftover ! My favorites here are: 1. The egg puffs! They’re so crunchy & delicious hehe 2. Honey fried pork dish? I forgot what it’s called haha but it’s pork pan fried with a sweet sauce ! 3. The stone pot rice bowls are pretty good too and super filing 4. Stew beef over fried rice ! The rice is flavorful and the beef is pretty tender, definitely an A+ in my book! 5. BF really likes the french beef cubes which have a vietnamese influence. I must agree they are very flavorful and juicy I’m glad we finally have a tasty garden so close to my house & I don’t have to drive to SGV! :p

I love Tasty Garden! My family used to go to the Monterey Park location and were super happy to find out they were opening near us. Tasty Garden is a hybrid between HK café(baked dishes) and a traditional Cantonese restaurant. My favorites are the baked spaghetti with bolognese sauce and steamed chicken. Love the food and atmosphere! Worth a try!

I came here in other day when friend mention that this place offer AYCE Hot pot. I was like What? I never heard any Tasty Garden do Hot Pot. This is newest location and appear they wanna get new type of customer to attract people coning this location. Which is the least foot traffic among all Tasty Garden. They offer $ 20AYCE Hot Pot during Tuesday. The amount of food their offer is a tons. Included some seafood option like Oyster which I never seem them in AYCE Hot Pot before. Their hot pot is seprate for 4 section which is great for some people that don’t like sharing pot and easier to track your food as well. I wish they had a food cart so store the food like some hot pot place I that see, so you had more room and better organized. The broth were ok I had better one, this is good effort by them. Consider they ain’t specialist in hot pot at all and this came out of no where basically. This do give little sheep a run for money consider no wait here.

The rice here was practically inedible, and this restaurant gave off a modern club feel. I know this is supposed to be a family restaurant due to going to other Tasty Garden’s, but this one definitely gave off late night club feel. My family and I came here and ordered sweet and sour pork and it was all fried ends and THIN slices or EXTREMELY dry meat. We reordered it and when it came back, the color was a little off. I don’t want to assume the worse, but I’ll assume we all know what I’m talking about. Back to the rice, my family and I are huge rice eaters and can’t get past a meal without rice and the rice was practically uncooked. We tried eating it but it was hard to swallow, there were pieces of uncooked rice and we just gave up at the end. We packed all our food to go to dispose of at home, we didn’t finish half of it. So I warn you save your money, and don’t come.

Took my mother here for lunch, she liked the Tasty Garden in MP. Got here a bit after they opened, there was one other table of customer, and we liked the high back booth along the windows, however my mom had a very difficult time getting in, due to the booth seat had an arm rest and the space between the seat and the table was so tiny(really made for really skinny people) I myself had to squeeze in sideways(yes I am not paper thin: p) ok despite of the cool modern feel of this restaurant this was a point off. Everyone talked about how bad the service was, I just noticed the guy that greeted us was very cold, and even after he brought us to the table and gave us the menu(made looking like a book, this was a nice touch) I could not get a smile out of him. we went ahead and ordered 3 dishes and the $ 1.75 lemon ice tea which was refillable. the feel of the restaurant was night club like, with track lights up on top and a very large screen that played Asian MV, also they played Asian pop music, it was probably cooler at night, with the light and sound. Here is what we ordered : 1. Clam and Vermicelli with chili and wine hot pot $ 11.95 — 1⁄5 this was just bad, I had asked the waiter if this could be made less spicy, he said yes, but still came super spicy, and tasteless, it’s basically a pot of bland spicy soup with vermicelli and some clams and that is it, the soup base is tasteless, therefore when vermicelli soaks up the soup it would just taste spicy but with no flavor, I was staring at the condiments on the table trying to figure out what to add to make this dish better, I don’t recommend this dish and for the price I really think it’s a big rip off. 2. Imitation Shark Fin with Egg white $ 9.95 — 1⁄5 this dish sounded interesting but let me tell you it was awful ! it was even worse then the hot pot dish, at least that dish was spicy that was something, this dish not only had no taste(not even enough salt) the fried vermicelli they mixed in was stale and had a rancid taste, this was the worst $ 9.95 I spent on any food period !! 3. Fried Udon with Seafood and XO sauce $ 9.25 — 3⁄5 this would be a pretty hard dish to mess up, however this was not impressive either. The first bit had me asking why was it so sweet? I have had this dish at other similar restaurants(ie. Tasty Station) it was much better, and had a lot more seafood in it, i didn’t like how they seasoned it, it was a bit too much on the sweet side, but I need to thank myself for ordering this, since this was the only eatable dish out of everything we ordered today. 4. Ice Lemon Tea with refills $ 1.75– 3⁄5 this was ok but how can you mess up ice tea with sliced lemon? all their drinks comes in a small mason jar which is cute, and it’s good it has refills(all the similar restaurants offers the same) however, I only asked to refill once, not sure if they limit on how many times you can refill. 3⁄5 for service. Service got better after that cold stone faced waiter sees me taking pictures, he must have figured I was writing a review(had my Unilocal app open) he was attentive and came by to refill water and was friendlier with a smile when I flagged him down for check, I like the décor and feel of the restaurant, but it seems like they have compromised quality and tastes of their food for this, I definitely will not come back again, since there are quite a few other restaurants in this area with the same types of food, taste so much better, and also cheaper. I have not tried the AYCE hot pot which they offer at dinner, but from today’s experience I don’t think I even want to give it a try.

I don’t know why everyone is judging so hard. They have so many food options. The biggest mistake we made was ordering the peanut pancake. That dish was literally a joke. Tasted like a crappy peanut buttery sandwich. The beverages were fine, service was fine, the chow fun I ordered was good, the beef noodle soup my friend ordered was also good. Free refills on your beverages. The huge sofa looking chair was cool. I have no complaints. Prices are proportional to what you’d expect. I am content!

If I had to compare, this place is like a nicer version of Garden Café. They both serve up HK style drinks and dishes. I was actually tempted to give this place 4 stars even though the quality of the food was on par to that of Garden’s(average at best). It was simply because this place was 100x cleaner than Garden that in my mind I actually thought it was better in food quality(but not really, but see how first impression/cleanliness plays a key role!) FOOD: We ordered String Beans with Minced Meat, their House Chicken(half size), and beef chow fun for the boyfriend. Everything was so average, nothing tasted out of the ordinary. The string beans were overcooked, so it tasted old and soggy. The chicken was rubbery rather than tender and flavorful like it’s supposed to be. Boyfriend said the beef in the chow fun also tasted overcooked as the meat was tough and hard to chew. Food was only 2 stars worthy. But I have to say I’m super happy that they’re clean and their restrooms were pretty much spotless when we went last night. It made the entire experience more comfortable as opposed to going to Garden where I always feel a little slimy walking out of that restaurant.

Tasty garden is located at the new plaza next to the north side of the 60 fwy off of the Nogales exit. The restaurant has a very clubbish venue. They play kpop music with a big projector and the vibe here is hip and chill. I recommend this place for good food and place to hang out with friends. This had a more young adult feel. This place will be too noisy for a young family with kids. I was also impressed with the furnitures and how comfortable the seats felt like having lunch on a couch. Servers were friendly, fast, and made good recommendation of the menu. Bitter melon with beef: bitter melon had the perfect bitterness and crunch. The black bean sauce went really well with this dish. This dish gave more beef than bitter melon. But overall it was a really good dish Egg shrimp egg noodles: this dish was alright. There was more egg noddles than the eggs and shrimp. I would pass on this dish.
