5.99 Wonton Lunch Special got me to try this place. I saw on Unilocal that they accepted Credit Cards, but failed to notice the details inside that there’s a minimum of $ 10 purchase for cards. But overall, the noodle to soup ratio was perfect, and they gave you enough wontons! Woo :)

This is for their service only. Came here to get bbq pork rice to go. Total was $ 8.71, I gave the cashier $ 8.75. I waited and waited to get my change. Nothing. So I asked her about it, she didn’t apologize at all, instead she throw the pennies on the table. Nice, very nice.

Probably one of the best places I’ve eaten at. Small location, very busy everyday for lunch. We ordered the congee(rice porridge) with fish, seafood pan fried noodles and beef rice noodle roll, just the basics, nothing glamorous or elaborate! Simple and tastes great, YUM!!! The service is very fast and good. Love coming here when I am in town.

The Noodle is a pretty okay place albeit expensive if you don’t come during lunch hours. I always get the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles which run at about $ 13(?), no lunch discount. With that being said, they do have a pretty extensive lunch discount menu ranging from $ 6.50 to $ 9.75. I really like their seafood pan-fried noodles. I’ve had their Kung Pao Chicken which was just okay. I come here maybe twice a year and the one thing it has going for it is that it’s consistently okay. In terms of service, the servers are, for the most part, always the same people. Some are more attentive and less rude than others. I think it’s funny how they wear Northface vests as part of their uniform. Why do you want a Northface to smell like food? Hahah.

Food is good for the shrimp paste beef fried rice. Unfortunately, the service is bad!

Came to The Noodle for the first time. Got their curry beef which was tastey(it had beef tendons as well as meat in it), also got their Singapore rice noodle which was okay, not enough curry flavor or salt. It wasn’t oily though which was nice. My sister got their crystal noodle with bbq pork and duck with tomato soup base. It was okay. If you come before 5pm they have afternoon tea special. It comes with a free drink. We got there at 4:50 but when we managed to get a waiter to come over we just missed it by 3 minutes. :(The service was kind of slow even though there were only 3 tables(not including ourselves). We will probably come back for their afternoon special, not going to come for their dinner prices though, since their food is only average. Btw, got an MSG headache about 30 minutes later. So if you are allergic to MSG like I am be sure to drink lots of water during and after the meal.

Service: Most servers are so slow, careless and suck. I always pick up menu by myself, and need some time to grab an attention from one of them, and ask for my check and to-go box going at their work station by myself. It’s less than bare minimum. I’m careless about service, and like the food here. So I come here quite often. However, I always find one manager(Justin) as a great asset for this company. I moved up from a dish washer to a Fortune 500 company hotel manager, experiencing both FOH and BOH from café to fine dining. I’ve also worked for Fortune 100 company. My job experience in the restaurant/hotel industry and my great skill to assess worker’s skills and characters have served me well. A few minutes of observation is enough for me to analyze the situation and the workers. I do it all the time when I go to restaurant. It’s my occupational saga, which is quite useful on Unilocal: p That being said, I always find Justin as a great worker/manager. He pays attention to details, have a big picture and look everything, work all the time and fast even if he were a manager. His thoughtful customer service is on the point and rare to see nowadays — even at Michelin star restaurant like«Melisse» in Santa Monica(I thought the service was very sub per except for the busser). He’s very talented, skilled and hardworking. It’s very refreshing to see such a great talent — especially in Chinese place(Even he agreed with me about low standards on customer service at Asian places. Read Pete S’s review. The same observation on it). I can guarantee he could go to any fine dining establishment no problem. I see his obstacles, too. It’s always hard to teach new tricks to the old dogs. Especially he’s quite young. I’m good at turning lazy people into good workers, but it’s a very precious and rare skill I got and it requires lots of work and patience. I think this company is very lucky to have a good worker like Justin. He deserves the recognition. Big thumbs up on him! — Gluttony Expedition — Fish dumpling congee: One of my favorite dumplings here. Cilantro gives quite a lift to it. They usually put lots of big ones in my congee. I always add my wonton soup(it’s salty by itself, but great stock for congee which has kinda weak broth) to the congee to make it taste better. Wonton: yum. Dumpling: Awesome! They put shrimp and pork. Yum. BBQ pork noodle: their specialty BBQ pork is a little sweet side and quite good. — Conqueror’s Deduction — This place got so many bad reviews and quite a low star rating due to the bad/slow service. 99% of the clientele is their own people. Their own people hate it, though most asian places don’t seem to care about«service». It’s funny, isn’t it? The food isn’t bad in my humble opinion — their dumplings are a lot better than usual. The star rating really doesn’t reflect the taste of food here. That’s why I’m kinda frequent here. I like the food here and wanted to give a compliment on his great customer service. I do hope his new success at Chino Hills location. Go Justin! You cloud do well anywhere you go. Keep up your good work!

Very very poor service! Asked for hot tea and got cold water instead. Noodles are good but serving portions are small.

Need to improve service. You can wait until cows come home before someone helps you. Like the center TV console, but creates strange layout for restaurant. We have about 10 dishes. Some where very good like the wonton noodles, triple meat dish and chicken special. Some unique like cold cucumbers with most of garlic. Sweet and sour fish, breaking was too thick for my taste. Get service fixed, gets to a 4.

This place is a hit or miss. There are some dishes that can be good, but there are some that are a total fail. Compared to a lot of other restaurants in the area, this is definitely a bit below. The service here isn’t that great as well. The close pretty early too for a Chinese restaurant. Kitchens close at 10:30pm when I went on a weekday.

This place always open at 8:00 am. Therefore I always come here to get my breakfast. The food is good. And this place is part of Happy Habor. I used to be happy with this place until this morning. I went to this place as normal and order tomato soup rice noodles. When I was about to eat it, I found a hair in it! A long woman hair! I did not want to give the waiter a hard time. I just wanted to get a new one. However when the waiter came, he said this hair mine! How ridiculous! I just got my noodles and my hair has buried into it deeply??? And then he just said give me a new one without any apology. I was really shocked. I don’t understand why there is no apology. I don’t know if the owner will check Unilocal, but I just want to remind all the customers before you eat it, make sure it is clean!

It’s been more then 6 months since I visited this place, and here for breakfast, the same rude waiter and waitress still work here, but I have noticed the attitude had improved, I hear them actually say thank you and was polite. We got the porridge and the instant noodle with egg and ham, with sides of Chinese doughnut rice noodle and the scallop rice noodle. I have to say they all tastes bland, flavorless. I used to like their porridge and the rice noodles, for some reason they all tasted unlike what I remembered, the rice noodle was not as thin and silky like it was . Kinda disappointed, service attitude was a big zero before, but have since improved, bit the food is now just worth 1 star.

My family came here often for authentic cantonese cousins. The flavors are really good. Service is alright, it’s what you excepted in Chinese restaurant. Open kitchen, you can see the kitchen is a little disorganized and dirty, looks like people are sweating in there like a sauna. we always ordered the rice noodle with 3 choice ingredients, stir fries seafood noodle is really good too. After meal, my family always have some refreshing frozen yogurt at yogurt land next door. Location is good, parking in the plaza is somewhat crowded. Price is reasonable for the amount they gave. I would recommended this restaurant for people around the area.

: LUNCHDINEIN&TO-GOREVIEWONLY : I’ve dine here quite a few times on the weekends only and by far, the service has been good. English, Mandarin & Cantonese are spoken here. The servers are always 100% super attentive cuz they’re generally all pretty busy! But we’re always able to flag someone down for our needs. Getting the check usually takes the longest. Upon walking into the establishment, to grab a # for seating, or to be seated or to order to go, you gotta go right behind the fish tank to the hostess stand/cashier. This place gets packed on Saturdays, so best come before noon to grab a seat. : FOOD : Food that we’ve had so far has been pretty delicious and nothing bad so far. Lots of canto style dishes — yums! Cucumbers(4⁄5) Beef Stew Noodle Soup(4⁄5) Beef Rice Noodle(5⁄5) Daikon in Beef Stew(4.5÷5) Eggplant w/Garlic Casserole(4.5÷5) Filet Mignon Cubes(5⁄5) Fish Filet in Black Pepper Sauce(5⁄5) Pan Fried Beef w/Noodle(4.5÷5) Seafood w/Pan Fried Crispy Noodle(4.5÷5) Salted Fish w/Diced Chicken, Tofu & Eggplant Casserole(4.5÷5) Soup Noodles w/Fish Fillet, Fish Balls & Fish Tofu(4⁄5) Sauteed String Beans w/Ground Pork(5⁄5) Youtiao Rice Noodle(5⁄5) : BBQSIDETOGO : 1st — you are to place your order with the«Si Fu/師父» at the BBQ food display counter. 2nd — you then go over to the cashier counter(behind the fish tank) to pay or if u can grab their attention at the counter(between fish tank & bbq food display) where are all the sauces are displayed to pay. 3rd — you wait in front of the fish tank for them to give you your BBQ items. Sometimes they don’t call you. You like have to stand & stare for them to give you your order. It’s really sorta an odd setup… I got so confused. : NOTES : 1) Fairly clean ladies restroom w/2 stalls 2) Open kitchen view & drink bar view 3) Lots of tv displays 4) Table, Booths, Counter seatings

Ordered lunch to-go: They didn’t call me over when the food was ready. I had to wait a while and walk over to the cashier again to pick up my food when I was at the seats by the door. Stir Fried Egglant: It was quite good but the minced meat was just awkward because it was served different than most places. So you got these pieces of meat all over the sauce and eggplant. I wasn’t used to the texture of that combination. Food and flavor was good, but maybe too oily. Service can be better.

Hello everyone! So I’ve been here a couple of times with the family and girlfriend and had to finally write a review! First off we got a order of diced green onions that are stir fried with meat and other spices that I can’t place. But seriously it is soooo good. Small so it can be hard to get a good mouthful but when you do its worth it! Goes great with rice. We also got the spare ribs with onions and it’s a staple for us whenever we go. The sauce that the spare ribs are cook with along with the onions just have a great flavor with rice and goes well with the diced green onion dish. One of my favorite dishes there is the fried noodles. My gosh it’s probably the best fried noodles I have had in a long time. It’s nice and dark and that tells me that the sauce is strong and has sunk into the noodles. Sadly the service is quite slow thus the deduction of a star. So if you get water and need a refill save yourself some time and flag one of the servers down because they will rarely fill it up themselves. But the food is great so it’s worth it! Have fun!

I come here for only one thing: the DIY noodle soup, where you get to choose your soup base and 3 toppings. What I always get is the pork bone broth, with fish filet, lamb slices, and squid balls. I LOVE it. The pork bone broth is light but flavorful, the lamb is tender, and the squid balls are delightfully chewy. I also like the type of noodles they use, like a thick chewy vermicelli(??)…not really sure how to describe them… I’ve tried other dishes here that my family has ordered and needless to say, they are NOT good and pricey. I probably wouldn’t even come if they didn’t have that DIY noodle soup. But since they do, I have to give it 4 stars because of how much I like it.

If you’ve been a Unilocaler as long as I have, you sometime aren’t too phased with the ratings for Chinese places. I mean, as long as they don’t have a rating below a C, that’s tolerable right?(A side point, I HAVE seen a rating that was actually 55) Well, this place won a special award in my heart for the most NONTOLERABLE Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been. Here’s why: When standing in front of the fish tank hoping to wave to someone to saying I have a party of 5, I was noticed 10 minutes after. No, I’m not kidding, I run with a stop watch so I know my time was correct . When trying to put in an order, it took another 10 minutes to get someone. OK, this time I didn’t time it only because I was with my party but I can sure say, I have waved my hand more than six times right next to the guy at the bar, who didn’t care to notice. When we got a lady to take our order, she spoke only Chinese and told me if I spoke Chinese. When I said no, she left for 2 minutes trying to find someone to translate but failed and came back with no one. When I tried to order an item from the menu that was past 11am breakfast time, it was really difficult to tell the waitress that I wanted something that you still have during 11:30am and I ended up just ordering noodles instead. So the noodles came and I ordered their beef noodles. The stock was good but I only had 3 pcs. of beef. This honestly, should’ve been a kid sized menu item for $ 7. My poor brother who had the porridge waited almost 30 minutes and then they brought the wrong one. The items inside the porridge dictates what you ordered. Well, the schmuck who brought out his porridge had brought it to another table. You wouldn’t believe the guy just swapped his porridge with my brothers. We have no idea if the guy ate it or not, but the side of the bowl that my brother ended up getting clearly had porridge all over the place. No one at our table raved at the food. This place is just a nightmare. I can’t imagine coming back. And so I thought I would attach this to this review. AB2365, the Unilocal law. Jerry Brown just passed it.
