This pizza was extremely soggy and pretty tasteless. Rude customer service; inside felt dirty and not well maintained.

A heads up to anyone ordering online. The prices are different. I found this out by my total being two dollars more than the total given to me online. That is including delivery charge. So for what I thought was 12 dollars worth of food I ended up paying 16, and then tip. Almost twenty dollars spent, not particularly happy about that… As for the food, okay, but not worth what I ended up spending. Fries are decent, a bit soggy but it’s expected when delivered. Roast beef is well done and a bit dry, so if you like your roast beef a bit pink and not dry then get something else… Overall I’d probably try this place again, but I’m going to pick up next time…

Rowley House of Pizza is a pizza/sub shop located in Rowley, MA. This shop is a local favorite spot to get pizza and roast beef sandwiches. I was impressed with the quality of food about five years ago, but I feel as though quality has slipped through the fingers of the Rowley House of Pizza team and is in desperate need of addressing. The previous few orders I have placed from RHoP have been for pizza. Pizza from here was at one point a local standard, but has been far surpassed by other joints in recent years. Pizzas are now made in what seem to be a quantitative fashion, with nearly not as much concern to quality as there should be. What once were perfectly cooked pizzas now are extremely soggy in the middle and often times under cooked. I’ve noticed this pattern more frequently to the point where it is difficult to buy a consistent meal from this place. For a restaurant that charges 10−15% more than comparable local joints, this is not an ideal choice for lunch or dinner. The staff that works behind the counter and in the kitchen is variable. They can keep the place looking great, or they can make it appear as though a bomb of pizza boxes and restaurant supplies went off in the dining area. I’ve had very polite service to dishonest and rude service. This, again, is variable. I would not mind taking my business back to RHoP should they decide to clean up their act of inconsistency, particularly with food quality. Unfortunately, given the way that the quality of food and service is now, I would recommend checking out other local pizza joints before visiting RHoP.

Incredibly friendly service and delicious food. Made a pit stop here after hiking. While our orders were cooking, the owner asked us about where we were from, and gave us each some of this Greek soup from the back to try — to feel like back in our country. So yummy! This place made us feel like at home, I wish I lived closer. As for our food: it came super quick. We got some subs, and a pizza with lots of veggie toppings — it was loaded with roasted broccoli, tomatoes, onions and spinach, but the crust was still perfectly crispy somehow.

I went in today CRAVING hardcore something that wasn’t exactly on the menu, so I described to them what I wanted. They made it for me with no hesitation, no weird looks, and were super kind about it. I honestly was not expecting that when my food hit my tongue it was going to be exactly what I wanted – but I was. It was amazing, perfect and delicious. I even made a Unilocal account for this only reason. They two guys who helped me today were super sweet, thanks! Bonus!: Rowley House of Pizza is very inexpensive in my opinion.

I order from RHOP a few times every month. The staff are friendly and courteous and the food is good. I particularly enjoy their Steak Tip Salad and their pizza. The subs are packed with fresh vegetables and a lot of good, fresh stuff. I have never had a bad dining experience there, be it eating there or as takeout. George and his team do so much for the town of Rowley. Keep up the good work!

The RHoP has a great variety and selection, but the food isn’t spectacular. My son and I went to eat there and the restaurant was discussing. Trash and flies EVERYWHERE.

These folks are the absolute best for fresh, quality ingredients, absolutely spot-on attention to special requests, and a quality of preparation that is exceptional for a restaurant in this category… and, NO, I’m not a family member or personal friend. I haven’t even been polite enough to learn George’s last name! What I AM is a regular customer of many years. Two great«secrets» about this place: 1. They serve one of the best, house — cooked roast beef sandwiches — which, EXCUSEME — I can’t even seem to find on their menu, but just ask for your preferred size and don’t forget to request the BBQ sauce — on the North Shore(and yes, I know all about Nick’s, et al… I am a serious foodie with the cooking chops, and my own market garden to prove it); and, 2. George even owns his own liquor store right next door, so you can even get your beer, wine, whatever and even have the whole meal delivered to your door within, typically, half an hour or so! Don’t forget to tip your driver!!!

Great place for an inexpensive take-out. Homemade pita bread is great! Also good Greek lemon soup!

pretty terrible to be honest. only sub shop ive been to where i actually took one bite of my sandwich and threw it away. Chicken bacon ranch sub was a joke. pizza has never been my cuppa tea, but some people like it. their fries are okay, which is the only thing i can really say thats positive.

woohoo as good as it gets for Rowley and surrounding areas. It is not the best but its the best in the area. When I visit family in that neck of the woods its the only place I order from, George the owner is a great hard working guy that will do everything to make sure everyone is happy.

I used to order from RHOP a few times a month until one time I called in an order to ask for specials and was rudely told«NO!», I get there and find a deal for the exact order that I just placed. The nice kid behind the counter wanted to fulfill it for me but Chris, whomever he is, grabs the menu with the deal and throws it in the trash right in my face!

We love the roast beef here! My husband is very picky with roastbeef and gives it 4 stars. We’ve had Rowley House cater 2 birthday parties for us and both times our guest loved the food. George went above and beyond to meet our needs and make our event stress free. It’s nice to keep the business local.

Usually get take out once or twice a week from RHOP. place is great!!! The delivery men somehow always finds my place even though its buried in the woods of Georgetown… for that i thank you! Only once out of at least 50 takeout experiences has my pizza been burnt and cold but things happen. I will still continue to order pizza and any salad for the outstanding Pita’s! Village in Georgetown is much better.

Many of these reviews are a bit unfair. I always try to do my Unilocal reviews in comparison to their competition. You aren’t going to compare Rowley House of Pizza to Capital Grille or Top of the Hub, obviously RHOP would receive a 1 star compared to those restaurants. RHOP does many things, and it does many things well. The pizza is pretty decent Italian style pizza. A previous reviewer claimed their pizza to be greek style, its not and it even says so in their menu. Its thin crust, with a sauce with a strong tomato/salty/garlicky taste. The cheese appears to be a three cheese blend of italian cheeses. In addition to pizza, they make above average submarine sandwiches. Everything is pretty standard except the quantity. RHOP stuffs their subs with ingredients. RHOP also started selling North Shore style roast beef sandwiches(rare beef, James River BBQ sauce, cheese, mayo, buttered and toasted rolls) which are pretty good. George, the owner, is community oriented and supports the local high school sports teams. When a team would win, it would not be a surprise to walk in to RHOP and be treated to 10 – 12 free pizzas to show his support. RHOP is also home to one of the best deals in town, the«Cheeseburger Special». It used to go for 5 dollars, not sure what it goes for today. It consisted of a cheeseburger with any toppings of your wish, a can of soda and a side of double dipped fries for 5 dollars. In addition to the items I listed above, they do decent steak tips, excellent chicken kabob, excellent club sandwiches and has a wide variety of side order options. I am not even sure if there is another pizza joint in Rowley… if there is, I haven’t heard of it. BTW, George… get with the times, its about time you created a website for yourself!!!

So i’ve just moved into Rowley from South Boston, and being how pizza is my favorite food, of course i had to stop into Rowley house of pizza and grab a pie. So i’ll admit, the pizza was just kinda generic. Nothing too special about it, but my wife grabbed their turkey club plate, and i have to admit, after a few bites of THAT, i was very impressed. That, combined with their fair pricing, and very hospitable staff, made this more than worth the visit and my investment of ten dollars. To be fair, i only ordered cheese, i’m sure their topping pizzas are much more delicious.(As indeed, all topping pizzas are.) My advice? It might say pizza on the sign, but this place does a smart job of making a good load of other items, and i’d go for them first. I’ve seen the complaints about delivery time, but hey, if you want something done right you do it yourself. Which is why i pick up. Come on people, don’t be lazy. In my day, you had to walk uphill both ways to get yourself a pizza. In the snow. You want good food at low prices, go here. You want cheaper food, and fast, there’s a mcdonald’s right across the street. ;)

I’ve been there 3 times and they are 0 – 3. I kept going back because it is so close to my house. First time, they overcharged me and I didn’t realize it until I got home. Second time, there were hairs in my salad dressing. Third time, I was overcharged AGAIN and the young heavy girl that waited on me was unprofessional.
