Bob Evans

The food here was bleh. My boyfriend thought his meal was mediocre, but mine was awful. I got the biscuits and gravy. Should be a simple enough meal to execute, but not here. The biscuits had a plastic taste and the gravy was GROSS. It tasted like a packet of instant beef gravy with some sausage crumbles in it. Definitely not my idea of good sausage gravy. My boyfriend agreed that my meal was inedible. I ate one of my biscuits because I was starving after being on the road for 10 hours, but needless to say, I am leaving starving. I’ve never eaten at a Bob Evans before but I assume this is the standard across the board. The coffee was so bitter, neither of us could drink it even with cream and sugar (I usually opt for black or a tiny cream). I will never eat here again. $ 20 plus tip for the two of us to leave hungry and without having been able to choke down even one cup of coffee. Our server was at least friendly.

I’m Not huge on chains, but this one is pretty good. And when the only other options are null. Bob Evans is it. But saying that, and being the best option for breakfast in the area, they could easily not care and potentially be really bad. But THAT IS NOT THE CASE! The staff and service are ALWAYS friendly and attentive. Top notch, Always helping each other out. Teamwork always reflects positively for the customers sake. Food was cooked to order and good. And prices are right on fair. This Bob Evans def gets my vote…

Usually dine here or call ahead for family orders, though lately I’m fed up with the billing and charge problems. I ordered a family meal on the ⁹⁄₂₂ and a item was not given to me but charged to my credit card. I found out it was missing after I got home. So I called he manager Tony and he was polite and looked at the order and said he would leave a credit in file for my family size side and a voucher as a courtesy for a dinner entrée and drink to be used in the future. Today I came in and wanted to use my credit along with a coupon and couldn’t seem to make sense of it and my coupon was for buy 1 adult breakfast $ 8.89ea. get 1 adult breakfast 50% off, we had also ordered a $ 5.99 breakfast for our infant and that’s were the coupon was applied to the child’s meal. So in the end I got my entrée and drink and not the family side I was missing or refund of it and 50% off my kids breakfast $ 2.98, not the adults breakfast as stated

Great service and food… clean and very comfortable environment…
As soon as we were seated we were ask what we wanted to drink… and quickly were able to put our order… I recommend it… surely will
return…

I’ve been coming to Sun City /​Ruskin Bob Evan’s or as we like to call it Mrs. Evan’s Little Boy Roberts Place for 3 years now we live in Kings point and that’s usually our safe pick. Breakfast eggs, pancakes, bacon is always good , and the french toast is delicious the bread is thick and soft add the cherries or what ever they have in season, If your a fan of the country fried stake don’t expect what you would at an ihop, still good but steak is thin and has thicker breading and small. For lunch ya can’t go wrong with the pot roast open faced sandwich, it’s seasoned well the meat easy to eat. House salads are always fresh and green but sorry guys no olive oil. Bread is freshly baked and so good the banana nut bread, yeast rolls are my favorite i havent had much luck with the biscuits for some reason they’ve always been hard and cold. Soups to try is the broccoli cheddar. As for the service it varies kay C. And a little lady with the name tag Ohio are the most attentive ones if your sitting at a table. If you decide to sit at counter good luck to ya and expect to be ignored for a good 15 minutes. Brandon’s Bob Evan’s off highway 75 Brandon Blvd exit has much kinder service.

Cheesecake is delicious. The smell of baking bread is wonderful. Enjoyed our lunch and the service was great.

First time here and never again. Spent over 2 hours here. Must have heard the waitress say «I’m sorry, I’ll be right with you» at least 15 times.

Pretty good all around. Had an appointment for 9:30 AM had to wait until 10 a bit unhappy about that but i understand its out of their control. Food was well made for the time it took (don’t expect a 5 star restaurant). Kid meals are good love how they made my toddler a little pig out of pancakes;he enjoy it. Staff was friendly made it a pleasure to be there. I deducted a star for the longer wait time and an second star because they use an ancient credit/​debt card reader took about 10 minutes to just pay the bill.

This a complete disappointment. The beef vegetable had not one spec of beef in it. The sandwich melt was cold and not at all melted. Our server forgot to put in our order so we watched as others came in… ate… And left.
The table was never cleared off and if we were traveling through and hungry we would have walked out.
Terrible management.

Good food, decent prices, long waits to be seated at times, (no biggie) love the Buffalo Wing Salad and Marlin is a hoot!
On a side note, if you are a pretentious type person (no one posting here) that expects 5 star food and service at every restaurant you go into, including MacDonald’s, then you should just leave instead of eating the spit le crème’ that’s added to your meal the 2^nd time it’s made to try and please you.

Not bad for a cattle call type eatery. The food is always decent and at a good price. Service is hit or miss but what can you expect? They turn a lot of tables and sometimes the kitchen gets overwhelmed.

One star only because Unilocal would not let me leave a no star rating. Did not get to eat. We arrived at this establishment at 7:30 pm on June 19 2015. There were not many customers in the place at this time. We waited approximately 10 minutes before anyone acknoledged us. When we were seated we were told by the hostess that our waitress would be right with us. Our waitress brought our silverware and told us she would be right back to take our drink orders. We waited for 15 minutes for her to return to take our drink order. When she finally came to get our drink order she didn’t even apologize for our wait. We told her that we were no longer interested in eating there that we were leaving. On the way out we asked to see the manager. We were told she would be right out. We waited 5 mins for her and left tired of waitng. Two off duty waiteresses came out and appollogized and told us they were off duty and if we came back in they would personally take care of us. We refused this offer. I think that this place needs to be cleaned out of management due to the fact that they sent off duty personel out to try to remedy the situation instead of management themselves. SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS BOB EVANS! Because of this i seriously doubt we will ever use or recommend Bob Evans again

I order curbside to go often from this location and time and time again something ends up wrong my my order.
This time I order the turkey dinner, which includes carrots, dressing, cranberry relish and mashed potatoes and gravy. They didn’t give me any potatoes but a big side of gravy-​what is a turkey dinner with no potatoes? AND instead of unsweet tea… you guessed it SWEET it is! And they threw in some hard cold rolls-​what a jip!
I hate having to drive all the way to Sun City to be disappointed when I get home… please get better Bob Evans, I truly enjoy your food when it’s correct!

Great dining experience on a Tuesday at 11 am.
The meal was exceptionally good; tasty and big portions.
But it was the most excellent service by our waitress (LA) that really made everything so perfect. She was friendly and prompt and truly enjoyed her job. And she was really good at it – a real people person.
Way to go, Bob Evans! Two thumbs up.

Wildfire chicken salad is theeeee best salad I’ve had in while… I order regular ranch with it instead of the spicy dressing and banana bread. The lunch size is big enough to fill ur hunger and cheaper :)

This Bob Evans is wonderful. We go 2 – 3 times per month to this location.
Today, as always, went for breakfast. Had a buy one, get one coupon.
We were seated immediately. We never wait more than a minute here. As we were seated our waitress took our drink order. We each had a pot of coffee and waters before the menus were opened.
As regulars we knew what we wanted. My wife gets the Rise and Shine. I get the Farmer’s Choice. Bacon was cooked just right. Sausage patties have great flavor. The pancakes are the best and we split/​share the three with SF syrup. The eggs are done right every time. Biscuits are big and tasty. Food served hot in 5 minutes today — faster than usual.
Total check $ 14. Left a $ 5 tip and everyone was happy.
Glad we have this place in our ‘hood.

Ok. Ya know when you go to a chain restaurant you always find «something» wrong? It’s outdated or the food sucks, yada yada yada. Well, I could not find a single thing wrong with this one. Hubby and I went here for breakfast, his favorite meal. The restaurant is very nice inside and out. The hostess lead us to our seats then pointed to the window and said” Here ya go, a seat with a view of the ocean”! LOL, it was the parking lot.
I ordered eggs, (over medium), bacon, home fries and toast. Everything was cooked perfectly. Not a runny egg white to be found. The toast was actually toasted! What a novelty. And the home fries, don’t get me started! Delicious. The addition of sweet browned onions put them over the top for me. The iced tea was meh (my new favorite description) but not meh enough to downgrade my review. Our waitress was fantastic.
All in all, a very pleasant and unexpected experience.

I have resisted going into a Bob Evans since a bad experience many years ago. When my wife had lunch with her son at one, she reported that it was pretty good. So when the breakfast choice was Denny’s or B.E. we rolled the dice having nothing to lose. Breakfast is my fav meal and I know exactly what I want, scrambled eggs, sausage and French toast. Anything else is a bonus. We were seated almost immediately and lo and behold their «farmers choice» breakfast hit everything I wanted. Add some grits to the other items along with my own carafe of hot bold coffee and Crankie Frankie is as gentle as a lamb. Service was great, not one thing to complain about. Now how about that?

Exactly what I expected. Decent food at a low cost.
This location was clean and the staff were very friendly. They treated my toddler fantastic and didn’t make us feel bad about having a little one who does their own thing. It’s always nice to eat somewhere when you can relax and not worrying your children are a bother.
The best part was the surprise of children eating free with an adult entrée after 4PM weekdays in July. That was a welcomed suprise!
