The staff was friendly but the price was rediculous. $ 139 per night for a $ 40 room. The room itself was clean but a bit small. I would have given a higher rating if the price was what it should have been.

The staff in the office is incredibly friendly. And the hotel is one of the cheapest and among cleanest I’ve come across in Rutland. But overall the hotel is showing its age, badly in need of repairs and updating. We couldn’t get connected to the internet with the Wifi. The concrete around the pool was broken in several spots. The only«life preserver» in the pool area was broken in half. Most of the chairs were ripped/torn. The chair in the room was a green velvet and it was just sad. It was the dirtiest item in the room. Linens were all clean. The middle of the tub felt soft so showers were very quick. The room was small and needs updating. The remote for the A/C was missing batteries and I’m sure a quick walk to the desk would have resolved it but it was easier to walk across the room and adjust the air. Overall its a good spot if you are too tired to travel further or short on funds. The pool made up for a lot.

OK this place is basically a place to sleep if you are a skier/boarder. It is less than 30 minutes to Killington. As far as access it is very easy. There was good water pressure and hot water(my biggest fear was no hot water and I was at the opposite end of the front desk)! This is not the place to go for your once a year family ski vacation. If you ski and you just need a cheap place to stay then this is it… I have slept on worse couches LOL Last thing the room is not very warm and I brought one of my sleeping bags and I am glad I did. The towels were kinda clean… I think? This is a dump but as I stated its good for a cheap place to sleep… I would NEVER bring my significant other here EVER… she would dump/divorce your cheap ass !!!

One of the cheapest, if not the cheapest of hotels in the Killington/Rutland area. For $ 40-$ 50/night, you can get a room with two double beds. The rooms are very tiny, with just enough walk space to get around the beds. The room itself is dated, with a mini refrigerator, very tiny microwave and a ~20″ CRTTV. The bathroom was surprisingly updated from the rest of the place, clean and with good water pressure. There is an ice machine by the front desk, however it’s broken, so you’ll have to ask the front desk for a bag of ice. The complimentary continental breakfast was a bit of a sham. There is a small table beside the check-in counter serving only white bread that looked somewhat squished and small donuts looking somewhat like the Freihofer’s version, but tasted a bit old and questionable. There is also a pot of coffee which I rather not wonder how long it’s been sitting there. There are no seats, so if you decide to grab something, plan on going back to your room to eat. Rodeway is close in proximity to a variety of supermarkets(Hannaford, Price Chopper, Grand Union, & Walmart) as well as quite a few places to eat and bars in the Downtown Rutland area to hang out at. If your a skier or snowboarder like me, it is about a half hour to the Killington Ski Resort, which is not too bad considering the amount of money you’ll be saving as compared to the hotels on the Killington Access Road. For the price, it is fair for what you get. Don’t expect to be woo’ed and wah’ed as this is a bare minimal hotel for those just looking for a very cheap place to sleep at.

Not the best place ever, but perfect for the price. Plus its only $ 10 extra a night if u have a dog. Great safe location, easy access to town. Not too bad ;)
