Integrity!!! You’ll want to read this!!!
My daughter is a Sac State student, but I live in the Bay Area. Her car broke down, so I had to find a mechanic in Sacramento while I live far away. Trying to deal with this long distance made me feel vulnerable to being taken advantage of, but I read reviews and took a chance on A Auto Service. I made a great decision!
After talking with Tom, I was feeling like I found an honest company, but I’m always a bit skeptical. I decided to put the situation in his hands. He arranged to have the car towed to their facility, and they evaluated the problem. Tom took this task off my hands… so far, so good!
Although the car was reparable, they told me that it really wasn’t worth fixing given the severity of the problem and age of the car. Since I live in the bay area, I asked if I could leave it in their yard for a few days until I could figure out what to do; they were happy to do so. They allowed me to store it there free of charge, and they let me meet potential buyers there a few days later. I apologized profusely for the inconvenience, but they never made me feel like I was taking advantage of them; they made me feel like we were in this together! That was so valuable to me! They treated me like a valued customer! They even offered me bottled water, and I feel like we became friends!
Tom and Lee, the owner, had no ulterior motives for treating me so well. They knew I don’t live in the area and am not likely to bring more business their way. They could have overcharged me for the tow and for they evaluation, but they didn’t. They could have tried to talk me into futile and expensive repairs, but they didn’t! They could have charged me for the weeks storage at their shop, but they didn’t! And after subtracting the independent tow company fee, they charged me less than a hundred dollars for the evaluation! They even allowed the guy who bought the car from me to leave it there over the weekend until he could arrange transfer; again, at no charge! Who does that!!!
The way they treated me tells me this company, these men, have integrity! It tells me they care, not about the bottom line dollar, but about the customer, no… about the person! They treated me, someone who likely doesn’t represent future business, like their best customer! Just think how they’ll treat you!
You can trust these guys!!! My only regret is that I don’t live in the area so I could bring all my business to them!

This is the only place that I trust with my truck. As a female, I’ve been shafted by other local repair shops. ‘LE’ and the group has always been honest and trustworthy with the diagnostics and repairs. I tell everyone, near or far (its worth the trip) to trust A Automotive with all your vehicle repair needs.

One of my employee’s had recomended this place, and have now taken most of our vehicles including my team members. Mr. Le and his crew provide the best service possible. Highly recomended. Trust me, they will not mislead anyone or try to over sell like others.

From the very first time I drove into this shop I just knew I was at an actual HONEST auto repair shop… I could tell that Ron takes extreme pride in customer service and making sure his customers are taken care of and not taken advantage of. I came back today for a transmission service and he even gave me a ride home because I had an unexpected appointment come up. From one business owner to another, I just want to say thank you that I finally have an HONEST mechanic! I will be telling everyone I know where to take their vehicles for any type of service.

I have been going to this mechanic shop for over 20 years. Lam Lee is the most honest person I have ever met. This is the shop you can trust. I can’t say enough good things about A-​Auto.

I needed my headlights fixed on a Saturday, and most other places were closed. The problem was simple and a quick fix, so they didn’t charge me for the diagnostics.
Fast service and good prices. I’ll be coming back!

My second review here — we recently had one vehicle tuned up and brakes and rotors replaced on another. Once again we had a positive experience with Mr. Le and and A-​Auto — they were prompt, charged less than they quoted for one car and we feel they are trustworthy. Highly recommend this shop.

My mom got a great deal on a Toyota Camry from here and I just received a great deal on car here just recently also after spending (wasting) time on Craigslist and browsing Pick-​n-​Pull. Sometimes you just have to know the right people to get good deal on cars. Her car has been running great (very clean also for an older car) and I have no doubt that my newly bought car will serve me well.

Just another great experience of Mr. Le doing quality work at an affordable price and in short time. This is probably my fifth or sixth time taking my truck to A Auto and by far what I appreciate most is that the cost has always been exactly what I was quoted for. One time, even less. That, with the quality of work and quick turnaround on repairs is the reason I’ll continue taking my vehicles to Lam as long as possible.

Having a mechanic as honest as Le is a great feeling… I bought a car from Le almost 20 years ago. Since then I have taken a number of cars to him and referred dozens. He always does good work at a fair price. Thanks Le!

.Le was very polite, professional and respectful. I don’t live full time in Sacramento, but I have only been here once, one time I came, for an estimate, and the people working there were too busy and told me to call them.
Often when women go to an auto repair shop, you encounter issues of getting talked down to, …as if you are a child, or missing half of your brain, often with a side of price gauging. Sometimes you are even told things need to be repaired, that do NOT need repair.
Mr.Le, did not treat me that way, he was fair and honest. However one employee made VERY subtle, yet still, off color remarks, or «jokes»,… I guess he thought they were funny, I did not.
Overall, I was treated well, and I was definitely NOT price gouged.
A –autos prices were very reasonable. Literally $ 400-​$ 300 less than 3 other places I called, and a written estimate from another shop.
They also provide a 1 year warranty on their work. I am happy with the work he did, and very happy to get my car back in the same day.
The only downside I have experienced are, #1,they do not have shuttle service, and #2, they often /​typically do not return calls. They have lost my business several times,…when I would leave a message for them, and they never call back.

to sum things up, their prices are a bit less, but I feel more comfortable with Hal’s auto. They are very reliable. That is not meant to insult Mr.Le.He is a good mechanic, but due to the lack of communication, and that guy who works for them, well it just hasn’t worked out so well for me.

I was very disappointed to find out that this is an auto repair place you can’t trust, and that they have no respect for women. The owner was extremely rude to me and annoyed that I was asking questions to be sure I had the best work to keep my car in warranty. I was attempting to be sure they used genuine manufacturer parts and the owner yelled at me and told me I was asking too many questions.
They do not follow the exact manufacturers codes and forgot to replace an important part during the previous service. It turns out that the dealer was cheaper than A-​Auto even when A-​Auto would be using after market parts. No wonder he did not like me asking questions. I am so glad I found this out before I let this unprofessional business do any more service on my car. Guess the owner never heard of Unilocal or thinks women are too stupid to write reviews! Get a clue dude.

My step daughter ended up going to Big O down the street from A-​Auto, the place I recommended. They were friendly and treated her like a customer. They ended doing the exact same repair for $ 100.00 less than was quoted by A-​Auto. Suggest you don’t waste your time going to A-​Auto, just take your car directly to Big O down the street on Folsom. They do quality work for less.

I would like to say that Mr. Le is a very caring man. He is about his customers and making sure they are taken care of. I brought my car in for a oil change and he explained everything to me and was not trying to be that pushy sales person that you get at other place JL. I will be going back to A Auto and have them do my exhaust system

Mr. Le is a wonderful, honest, and reasonable business owner! He helped me figure out what was wrong with my car and once we figured out how trivial it was, he didn’t charge me for his time. This was such a kind gesture that I would more than happily return to support Mr. Le’s business. I would highly highly recommend this place!

I found Mr. Lee and A Auto when I was trying to find a shop to replace a muffler. The wholesale shop I called recommended him, and he was just around the corner. I love Mr. Lee and his staff (even though one of his mechanics wears a Dodger cap!)
Both our vehicles get routine maintenece at A Auto now. Mr. Lee has diagnosed numerous problems with my old Mazda and my wifes old camaro, made the repairs in a timely manner and just «done us right». His prices are reasonable and if I have any problems with previous work, he makes it right! I love the fact that while I sit in his waiting room chatting with other customers, they all love his work and are return customers. What more can I ask?

I love these guys. They always come in drastically cheaper than quoted. They always fix the issue and are very wonderful owners to give our business too. Thank you A-​Auto!

If you are looking for an honest and skilled mechanic this is the place to take your car.
My family has been taking all of our cars to this business for several years now and I have never been disappointed in the work. Mr. Le always does his best to make the customer happy and he is very fair with his pricing.(I must not be the only one because he had to move to a bigger location) It’s nice to have found someone who I can trust. By the way, he’s now located at 6101 Folsom Blvd, not the address given on this site.
