Aerial Evolution

This place is amazing! Quality instruction and a variety of Ariel apparatuses to choose from such as trapeze, silks, sphere and hoop. I am doing so many things I never thought I would be able to do! Highly recommend!

I am so glad that I discovered Aerial Evolution out here in Sacramento. I started doing aerial silks on and off when I lived in San Diego and in Oakland. I was thrilled to find a place in Sacramento with reasonable prices and relatively close to where I live. After a few months of buying the class package, I decided to pay for membership so that I could come here 2 or 3 times a week! If you have always wanted to try out circus arts, this is the place to do it! They also offer other classes, such as trapeze, hoop, and sphere.
The instructors are great — very knowledgeable and patient with everyone. I hear friends saying that they don’t have the core strength or arm strength to do these acrobatic activities. To be honest, you build up the strength the more you go. The instructors will work at your level and give modifications for the poses. We all start off somewhere. I introduced a friend of mine to AE, and now she has a new hobby!
Personally, I hate working out my arms at the gym. Aerial silks is the only way to get me to do it… because if I don’t, I’ll fall, and there isn’t a bigger a motivator than that! jk (kind of). In all seriousness, it’s such a fun and elegant art form that works out your body at the same time that it motivates me to improve my strength and endurance. I highly recommend this place!

First and foremost — Sacramento and the surrounding area is quite a lucky community to have an aerial focused gym that is home to so much expertise. Aerial Evolution had me hooked from my first Trapeze class, seriously — I went home and purchased and unlimited monthly membership and have had it ever since.
Aerial Evolution deserves infinite stars. They have an all-​star staff that teach an array of classes from Trapeze to Silks to Sphere to Lyra to so much more. They help you perfect your craft and you have fun while doing it.
The price is a no brainer, we all consider price when picking out our hobbies, but if you factor in that you’re in small classes with world class training, the price suddenly doesn’t seem like a factor at all. I don’t have to go to a gym or fuss with running miles everyday because of the workout aerial arts offers. Every class is like a work out with a personal trainer, except more laughing and flying.
Aerial Evolution brought a passion to my life that I never thought was attainable. As an injured dancer, finding an art and workout that helped me to express many of the same skills that dance had taught me was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Due to dance injuries, my body is a little crooked… ok a lot crooked, and several yoga and personal trainers stressed those injuries but I’ve never had problem at AE — in fact, I’m more comfortable after exercising with them.

This place is absolutely wonderful for anyone from beginner to expert.
Aerial Evolution offers a wide array of classes at all skill levels. I’ve taken the following classes often in the six months that I’ve been a member: silks, trapeze, sphere, hoop, conditioning, and intensive stretching. Prior to joining AE I had never done anything like this! I have a long background in Yoga and less than two years experience in Pilates and rock climbing, BUT…
…let’s get personal — Just one week prior to my first class at AE (trapeze) I had finally been given a clear bill of health from my doctor after recovering from severe whiplash. I was starting out completely fresh from an activity stand-​point, I hadn’t done my regular amount of activity in over four months! I showed up to AE nervous about what kinds of things I could do because of my recent injury. I was given wonderful instruction, had a marvelous time and fell in love with aerial arts.
The instructors give clear direction and are very empathetic to each individuals experience/​comfort level. Everyone is approachable and highly knowledgable. The instructors are especially knowledgable about the human body and the proper ways to move/​bend when in top health or when dealing with an ailment/​injury. I’ve over heard other members express concern to the instructors of bad knees, sore spots, etc. This didn’t impede the members from participating because the instructors are experts and know how to work around ailments and give caution when needed.
Lets be real, we all want to secretly join the circus ;) If you are even mildly curious, I highly recommend trying this aerial gym out. The classes are extremely affordable and the experience is like nothing else. It is also a super fun thing to do with your friends!
