THANKYOU, Al’s Liquor, for carrying the mildly-obscure line of flavored vodka I like(yes, yes, everyone roll your eyes at the stereotypical female who likes ridiculous flavored vodkas) AND for having the one flavor I couldn’t find anywhere else in my multi-county search. Grabbed my coveted Burnett’s Sugar Cookie Vodka and a Seagram’s Cookie & Cream Vodka for good measure, and bought both for $ 18. Whaaat? That’s a deal rivaling the prices at my beloved Total Wine! The nice guy at the counter got me checked out, as he chuckled at the Geico Dikembe Mutombo commercial(google it) playing on the overhead TV. You know people who shop at Al’s sure are happy. How happy are they? Happier than a white girl with a bottle of sugar cookie booze!

I like this place because it’s close and it seems to have just about everything I want, like bottles of Coors and Calypso Black Cherry lemonade. My only negative just depends on who’s working there. Some people feel less trust worthy than others, and not a fan of cash registers that I can see the screen. As it is, I’ll still hit it often, especially for my soda/lemonade/tea needs.

I feel out of place each time I visit the local liquor store, like I should be in baggy jeans, an over sized shirt, and a gaudy gold chain around my neck. I’m always here dressed nice and professional with a collard shirt ready to pick up a case of beer. The staff is always pretty cool, laid back, and has something entertaining blasting on the TV. I end up coming here at least once a week to pickup some drinks or what nots while at a weekend job. Usually some red bull to mix in with the vodka in my water bottle to help the work day past by easier.

The local liquor store. This place is crazy. The staff is freakin’ hilarious. My favorite is Mo. If he doesn’t like you, he calls you a stupid mf’er. He always gives me a hard time about paying with a debit card. This is the standard place for guys to come by and get 40’s. It get’s kinda dicey on the weekend nights. But the feisty staff keeps everyone in line. If I come here too many times in a week, I start to question my position in life. But this is a convenient place for a convenience store.
