Clean N Organize

My fiancé bought me this Groupon for a Mother’s Day gift. When I was finally able to schedule an appointment, after phone tag, I took a day off of work to be at my house for the cleaning day. When the hour came that they were supposed to show up, no one did. I called a half an hour after they were supposed to show up and left a message, and didn’t get a callback. All in all nobody showed up. I called a few hours later and left a message, and no one called back. I fiancé then called the next day and left a message, and no one called back. Two days later I called them again, left them a message telling them I was going to call Groupon, get my money back, and leave negative reviews. Seems like this company doesn’t want to work well with Groupon, or LivingSocial. I wish I would’ve read the reviews first. Now I know for future Groupon purchases. I say if this company doesn’t want to clean houses, they should just close down their business. Talk about the laziest house cleaners I’ve ever seen or heard of!

I purchased a Groupon (I know I shouldn’t expect the world) they just never showed up. It took weeks to schedule a cleaning. We get an appointment December 4^th. My fiancé took the day off work to be here when they arrived. No call to say they would be late, no call to say we have to reschedule, and then just no one there. She called multiple times that day and left messages. I called the next few days only to leave message to no response.

I was very excited to purchase a Living Social deal to get my house cleaned. I should have checked the Unilocal reviews first! I won’t make that mistake again.
First appointment was scheduled Memorial Day weekend, I received a call to cancel the appointment due to the holiday. (Ok I can understand wanting the weekend off).
Next appointment was scheduled for yesterday, and guess what NO SHOW. I didn’t even get a call. I am very disappointed to say the least.
Don’t waste your time or money on this service.

After reading the other reviews, and having my experience, I now understand why this business has a 2-​star rating. I’m surprised it’s 2 stars. Rather unprofessional. Lack of courtesy shown to the customer. I bought a groupon for 3 hours cleaning, and scheduled appointment via text directly with Jennifer, the proprietor. Even though I bought in March and couldn’t get appt til June, I figured maybe they were so busy because they are good? Well, I would come to NEVER find out if they are good at cleaning or not. What I do know is that they are NOT good at showing up to scheduled appts, communicating with the customer, expressing sincere remorse, accepting and owning their mistakes, and just general overall customer service.
So, after confirming w/​Jennifer a couple days before the appointed cleaning day, I essentially take the entire morning off work to «pre-​clean» as I like to call it (you know how you have to get your place reasonably organized and uncluttered to allow the cleaners to do their job?). After getting the place ready and prepped for them to clean, the appt time rolls around and no one shows up, calls or texts. First 1 hour, then 2. I sent 4 texts that went unanswered that day. Only did I receive an excuse-​filled reply text the NEXT DAY. Some vague excuse about the company «suffering a tragic event.» Now, I’m not here to say they did or didn’t experience a tragedy bc I simply don’t know. Bc no one told me. No one said what happened, but most importantly no one contacted me to say they were unable to come. If you run a business, and you have appts, and you run into an emergency, make sure you contact your clients. Guess what, they don’t read minds, they don’t know you just had an emergency. it’s common business protocol, and more importantly, it’s just common courtesy. I’m a reasonable person. Unless you died, you can let me know wtf is going on, that you’re not coming, that your cleaner perished in a freak toilet bowl drowning. Heck, even if you just don’t wanna work that day and need to reschedule, friggin tell me! It’s not rocket science, Jennifer. Might I be disappointed since I prepped all morning? Probably. But, I would understand and get over it. But, Jennifer chose to remain silent and didn’t say a word. Not cool.
Still, I figured everyone (even substandard businesses with poor customer service skills like Clean N Organize) deserve a second chance, right? So, Jennifer sends me a text reading «I have arranged for 2 cleaners to come to your home Monday morning at 8am.» I figure great, she is taking the initiative to set up a time and date and they are finally going to fulfill the bargained contract, and I spend the entire evening prior again prepping and organizing so they will be ready to clean. Boy, was I wrong again. 9am rolls around on the morning of and no one shows up, and no one makes an effort to contact me. I send Jennifer a text asking if they have suffered yet another «tragic event» and she responds, not with an apology or empathy, but rather with blame directed at me, saying «you never confirmed the time and date.» Please. First, your text was clear that 2 cleaners would be at my house at a date and time certain, and did not seek confirmation. Second, given the fact you dropped the ball the first time around, I figured that if you needed confirmation on this second appt, you should have sought it yourself. Secondly, even if I got confirmation, what assurance does that provide? None. I got confirmation for the first appointment and it did zero good as they flaked and didn’t advise they weren’t coming. Here’s a small suggestion: don’t send an accusatory text when you miss appts. Own your mistake, accept responsibility, and show some remorse. Show some empathy. Anyway, Jennifer then proceeds to get defensive and claim that they have «cleaned over 500 homes and it [not showing up] has happened twice.» Yeah, ok, I’m sure this is the very first and second time you didn’t show up for an appt, and all the Unilocalers on here are lying. Again, this shows inability to own your mistakes. Admit when you screwed up. People are human, we understand you aren’t perfect. But, do something about it. Maybe get a better calendaring system. Set alarms. Hire someone to hit you over the head with a tack hammer 30 minutes before your appointments so you don’t forget them. Better yet, hire a consultant to work with you on customer service skills. Do something. But, don’t just blame the customer for not confirming. And don’t then respond with some defensive attempt to justify your mistake with all the successful appts you’ve held in the past. If anything, that makes me feel even more frustrated and dissatisfied, because it shows you’re clearly capable of contacting your clients and capable of showing up for appts, and instead just arbitrarily elected not to with me.

I am so happy with the house cleaning service I have received and will continue to use this service. I have a big home and they really took there time and cleaned my home thoroughly. The staff was polite and accommodating for the extra services I requested last minute. When the service realized the job would require more staff they had more staff show up promptly. I appreciated how they made sure no trash was left behind and everything was gleaming and shining and smelling so good. I have used them several times and referred them to several family members which are equally as satisfied. We will not use another service but them because after going through several agencies we finally found one that fits our needs!

I have to say it was well worth my time and money. The Cleaning People with Clean N Organize are superb. Money well spent. I Got this incredible deal with Groupon. Great people. Very respectful and just overall amazing. They arrived at my house on time. And did an incredible job at Deep cleaning my house. Again keep up the good work.

We recieved a Groupon from a family member, and after calling and waiting all day to obtain an appointment the lady was very rude claimed we lived 27 miles away and refused service due to distance. We are glad we will not be using this company. I we now have to send the voucher back to our family member so they can receive their money back.

I don’t typically review businesses. I just wanted to warn consumers that this is the worst cleaning agency I have ever dealt with. I paid for 4 hours of housecleaning. This woman shows up with her daughter and stays for two hours and does about 20 minutes worth of work. A total rip off. When I complained, she said that she owns the company, books the cleaning, and does all the cleaning herself. She should look for a new line of work.

The comments are very disrespectful and show your lack of concern and professionalism as a owner. I had just had surgery and you were very disrespectful about that and you did not even have the tact to call the day before. I was upset as when you buy something and there is no mention of a hidden fee and then at the end you are asked to provide more money from someone has been very rude to you. You used our vacuum and did not empty and you had 3 people and you all forgot to empty the trash. How is this service? Also the counter were not wiped down so not sure why I had to pay extra $ 10 when it was clearly you just moved items from one location to another. So attack me all you want as that is your only reply it will show others your true side.

I purchased the groupon to have my apartment cleaned. They called to inform me that they would be an hour late and I appreciated the phone call. For the overall cleaning, I feel that they did a relatively good job of cleaning the items that I asked them to– dusting blinds, floors, kitchen counters, and bathroom. However, evidently they didn’t realize that I opened my window to get fresh air instead of us all be attacked by chemicals, because I heard them saying rude things as they walked out to their car. Yes, my apartment was extremely dusty and who knows when the last time we swept under the bed was, but that’s why I hired you. I wouldn’t have you come clean a spotless apartment. I was just very put off by the comments regarding the state of my apartment and about how I would likely have «asked you to wipe my butt» if I could have. Very unprofessional and ruined an otherwise okay experience.

I learned of Clean & Organized through a Groupon and called to be sure our house was in her service area. Although we were outside her covered area, she offered me a similar price for the same service. I was able to book them on short notice and they accommodated me. They arrived about 10 minutes late after calling 15 minutes ahead of time to let me know (professionalism experience 1). I spent an hour or two prior to them coming writing a room by room wish list which I presented to Jennifer upon arrival. She and her other two cleaning staff looked through it and said up front the list was a little ambitious for the time allocated and asked me to prioritize the items I needed them to focus on (professionalism experience 2). They immediately went to work and was able to complete 90% of the original list and a bit more than what she expected to get clean before they started (professionalism experience 3). Worth noting is the fact that we have zero carpeting and very few small rugs in our house…100% tile, and we keep our windows and doors open frequently so the accumulation of dust in the non-​traffic areas was SIGNIFICANT! We had a very large amount of trinkets, glasses, plates, pictures, etc., in those areas and they dusted and cleaned every single one of them without breaking anything! Did I say those items had not been thoroughly dusted since we moved in 3 years ago? After leaving Jennifer and her team estimated the amount of man hours it would take to keep our house clean and maintained, how many times per month they would need to visit and what the total price would be each visit (professionalism experience 4). I booked them for that service and they have cleaned for the second time. They brought a 4^th person with them this time who could reach some high, out of reach places, without a ladder. They completed our entire 1,700sf house in the time they estimated for the cost they promised (professionalism experience 5). Some people on this board made reference about Jennifer bringing more people and referencing man hours as the basis for billing. My experience after 15 years of having professional housekeeping services clean my house, this is BY FAR the best route to take. It (1) doesn’t wear out a single cleaning person and (2) gets them in and out of your house quickly so you can enjoy it sooner.

I’ve had Jennifer and her team (Clean N Organize) clean my house several times now. I find them very accommodating to how I like things done, and they do a great job! You cannot expect a very dirty house to be cleaned in just 1 or 2 hours. Perhaps it might be a good idea to purchase another hour at the time you make the appointment. Although I must say they’ve always a wonderful job for me. I wear a leg brace and use a cane, so I’m unable to clean like I used to. Clean N Organize pays attention to even small details, and I am thankful for that! I’ve had other cleaners that took SO long to clean, just stretching out the time so I would pay for another hour. Yet all they really did was just ‘hit and miss’ the dirt. Jennifer’s team are ‘quick and good’! They remind me of little cleaning tornados! I’m so glad to have found them.

Beware of this company!!! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and unethical business in my life. I hired Clean N Organize to clean my 4 bedroom, 2 bath home after my tenant vacated the premises. The owner, Jennifer, walked through my home and provided me with an estimate. I told her specifically what I wanted done and she agreed. Then she, along with her two employees, began to work. I was appalled when I realized that, in 4 hours, all they had done was move the dirt around! I asked them to clean the dust off the ceiling fans. They only cleaned two out of five fans, and the two they cleaned were still filthy; they left cobwebs in several rooms; they sprayed the oven with oven cleaner but did not wipe it down (like the fans it was filthy); they did not vacuum ANY of the carpets in the bedrooms; they ruined the hardwood floor in my dining room (they properly mixed the hardwood floor cleaner with water but they saturated the floor — it is now starting to bubble); and they mopped the tile floors as soon as they arrived, so, when they were done, the floors were dirty again. When I pointed out what had not been done Jennifer told her employees to re-​wipe the fan blades and then said she really needed to go. I called Jennifer the next day to tell her how disappointed I was and she proceeded to yell at me and then hung up! If you want your home to be cleaned, I strongly advise that you hire another company.

Just beware that you ask them $ 65 for 4 hours with only one person to do the cleaning or two persons. They might cut in half $ 65 for 2 persons and only 2 hours of the cleaning. Make sure they have enough time to clean the whole house. Good luck!

Groupon was having a special with this company. So I purchased it and made an appt. Long story short no one ever came. The first appt had to be rescheduled, due to no available staff. The 2^nd appt I rescheduled because I had a exterminator coming in, and the 3^rd appt scheduled no one ever showed up.
I called twice, once to let them know no one showed up, and a second follow up a week after that. Eventually I gave up and disputed the charge the Groupon. They generously refunded my money. While I can’t comment on the actual quality of their work, the initial handling of this wasn’t professional.
