Now there is a fun DJ-​event to enjoy on the first Saturday of the month.
THE SETUP
«DEVOTION» focuses on a format emphasizing New Wave 80s and the Industrial from the 90s. But it also spreads it wings and sprinkles in some other decades and a bit of hipster here and some brit pop there.
I enjoy Devotion because it is a mere 10 minutes walk away from my home.
THE CREW
«DEVOTION» is the brain child of DJ Bryan Hawk (Asylum, Factor IX, Radio Radio, etc.) and promoter Nicole Fowler. They have an extensive working relationship with the good people at Midtown Barfly, so it is nice to see another fun dance-​club night fill the void on a Saturday night for those who enjoy something OTHER than hip-​hop and house.
THE DEETS
Cover is $ 5 and the drinks are hella cheap. Parking is usually no problem along the streets and in some side-​lots. You may have to walk 2 – 3 blocks, but that isn’t bad for a Saturday Night in Midtown.
THE LOWDOWN
Grab some dinner beforehand in Midtown, and then head over at 9pm to DEVOTION for some dancing fun.
