I ordered OVEREASY eggs, got over medium and he broke the yolks putting it in the container, NOCOLOR on the toast it was just WARMED bread. Sent it back, 2nd attempt, over medium again, I don’t have time to spend in the café and show you how to cook. SERIOUSLY if you’re going to call yourself a cook, you should no how to cook eggs and NEVER serve food that is NOT how the customer ordered.

the regular cafeteria food is just normal good cafeteria food… but there daily specials, especially the Korean and Asian Persuasion specials are always spot on! They also have a self-serve Mongolian BBQ style WOK all the time that is always tasty

It’s literally Christmastime all year-round here! My kind of cafeteria! Haha :) We’re always greeted by the friendly brothers. They have cool specials like chorizo breakfast burrito and chicken adobo bowls. If you visit before 11 am, you’ll see the massive, fresh-baked coffee cakes, croissants, and brownies. They also have Peet’s coffee and there’s a $ 3 minimum purchase to use your card. I think the doors are unlocked at lunch and you won’t need an ID or visitors pass if you tell the guard that you’re going to the cafeteria.

This place is located in the Dept. of Transportation. I love the brownies and cookies here. Workers are friendly. It is in an old cafeteria setting. There are a lot lunch options, but it takes a little while to receive your food.

I don’t know anywhere else in midtown where you can find a salad bar or stir fry bar(like mongolian bbq). The specials are different every day, there’s bibimbap, curry bowl, and fresh out of the oven cookies with big chunks of dark chocolate Everything is very reasonable and is semi self-serve. It’s not Mulvaney’s or Cafeteria 15L or Hockfarm type decorations, but you’re also able to get a great salad for less than $ 5. If you want upscale or romantic ambiance, go to a nicer place, but if you want to grab a good and healthy lunch, Hanna’s café is worth a try and adds to the variety in the midtown lunch scene.

Was just there. Was completely ignored and not waited on. Walked out.

Wow I’ve walked past this bldg many times giving the sign a quick glance. Finally on a desperate day(desperate enough to try to get food from la bou) I came here after la bou refused to make me a sandwich at 12:45. –yea I know. Andddd this will now be my lunch place at least twice/wk. the food! Soo good-they have everything and a lot of Korean influenced cuisine! I got the special on thurs, the bibibop(spellcheck)-delicious and a ton of food. They have an amazing salad bar, stirfry bar, lots of breakfast options before 10am, burritos, sandwiches, and Pete’s coffee! Super friendly staff as well. One star off bc they use styrofoam instead of paper to-go boxes. But thankfully I will never be forced to enter labou again. As far as others being all negative about the ambiance. Go outside; you live in California.

Although ambience is like the basement of a 1960’s hospital… most of the food is great. There is a choice for everyone. The best part about this place is the price. Every item on the menu is well worth it. There stir fry bar is fantastic and you can actually add your own sauce and or combination. The service is quick and always with a smile. There are premade items as well. Well worth trying.

I’ve only been here once. I ordered a burrito and it was almost inedible. Also, the place does not seem very clean, and it’s not a very pleasant place to eat. Basically, there is nothing good about this place that I can see. I will not be back to try it again.

The best of the state building delis — as good or better than CalPERS’ excellent restaurant. Hanna, the owner, has good specials every day — either Japanese or Korean dishes, soup, and a sandwich. A dozen other choices are available, as well as one of the best salad bars and something special — a stir-fry bar stocked with fantastic Asian vegetables and staples, as well as bountiful ground garlic and ginger, and all sorts of sauces. I had a stir-fry today($ 6.99, as much as you can fit in a large bowl) with two types of mushrooms, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, noodles, cabbage, bok choi, tomatoes and onions and mountains of garlic and chili, and a drizzle fo sesame oil and soy sauce. The chef adds chicken(you can also choose beef, or have it without any meat) and they even have table service. The room is nicer than most state cafeterias — lots of potted plants and windows, a quiet spot in the back, and plenty of light. The staff is pleasant and fast … I’ll definitely go back. The sign says«state workers welcome,» which might mean that the general public can’t make it past the security guard at the front door. Not sure — I was under the impression that state law allowed anyone with ID into a state building. That said, if you have one, bring your state agency ID just in case. Very, very good!
