Love the short rib sliders. They ran out of short rib once and I had to settle for the spicy pork.

BOMB! I stop by here for lunch from time to time, they serve quick and the food is delicious. I like the fact that you can just walk up to the window and order, no standing shoulder to shoulder in a stuffy, crowded building waiting for your food. Even during the lunch hour, the line moves fairly quickly! I go with the Korean burrito because for one its amazing and for two I’m a heffer. They’re food does have a lil spicy kick though, so be prepared to burn your bum bum. Oh and if you’re looking for a place to get your«Drunken Munchie fix» after a night on the town — these guys are open after the bars close but just forewarning, at that hour it might get a lil busy because they are literally the only food place place open around the 15th& L St area.

Great place. Had the short rib bowl and shredded pork tacos. Classic Korean fusion, which folks like Roy Choi invented in my home of Los Angeles. The lemonade is homemade and delicious! They also offer burrito versions of the bowls, but I think the bowls are bigger for the same price. Maybe it’s my imagination. I’ve come here every December when I’m in town for business. Rock on!

In my opinion the food here is just ok. BUT… since this place is located in front of a nightclub AND open during nightclub operating hours and after hours this place comes in clutch! Nothing like drunk stumbling out of the park ultra lounge to cutting to the front of the line to grab a bahn mi sando mmmm.

Place is awesome! Open late so you can hit it up after a night at Park Ultra Lounge. I ordered 4 of the short rib beef tacos. The beef was seasoned and marinated SO well. Very tender with ton of flavors. After all the times I’ve been to Sacramento over the years, I can’t believe last night was the first time trying this place. Get the short rib tacos!

Love the Korean Short Rib tacos. But everything is pretty dang good. Have had most of it, rarely disappointed. It makes for a great late night drunken snack. Ok, so now for my gripe… Just saw an order online for delivery thing on Unilocal and got all excited… Yeah… It’s not actually for Gogi’s, it’s for Ma Jongs next door. All part of the same complex and owned by the same company, but lamely disappointing. Thanks for getting my hopes up and them ripping the carpet out from under me…

Great spot for a quick bite during lunch. There is always a line but they make the food fast enough to fit an hour lunch break. I highly recommend the Korean BBQ tacos or the Bahn Mi sandwich with spicy pork!

As a Capitol staffer, this place is ideal for two reasons: 1. The nice walk you can get walking there is refreshing, even if it’s hot. You get out of your office. 2. Their Arnold Palmers are on point! Only thing to look out for is the 2:30pm closing time. My Arnold Palmer buddy and I have missed their closing times on more than two occasions. Haven’t tried their food or anything else for that matter. But their shaved ice looks bomb! I’ll try one, on of these days.

Gogi’s Korean BBQ is like a stationary food truck permanently parked on the corner of 15th& L in Downtown Sacramento. Yes, it is a food stand, but the overall concept is similar to other food trucks in the scene. Gogi’s is pretty popular during lunch, although you will have to stand in line outside waiting to order and waiting on food. The stand faces Capitol Park, so you can watch all the joggers while waiting for your order. Their menu focuses on several meat options, including my favorite the Korean BBQ beef. This sliced beef can be served in taco, burrito, slider, and Bánh mì format. They load it up with pickled vegetables, cabbage, and other spicy toppings. Prices are reasonable for the quantity, quality, and location. This is one of the better Korean BBQ taco options around, but the location and wait in the sun make it tough to love. On a nice day, this could be a great option, especially to picnic at the Capitol. On hot or wet days, this option is nearly impossible to love. Nevertheless, Gogi’s is a solid option in downtown and recommended for your Korean BBQ taco fix.

Great spot to grab some lunch! I had their Gogi chicken bowl and i enjoyed it with their Lemonade. Sit right on the strip and have the view of the Capitol and L street! Perfect lunch that will fill you up just enough. I just wish they opened longer during the day!

Not going to lie, I’ve never been here sober. Gogi’s is great drunk food after a night out and is right next to The Park Ultra Lounge. I would never stop anyone from ordering a burrito, but I prefer going the taco route when eating here. Delicious bulgogi tacos at 2 a.m., mmmm!

In its attempt to emulate the successful Korean/Mexican taco concept popularized by LA’s own Kogi food truck, Gogi offers unique selections that are inexpensive and flavorful. It is a good standout in Park Ultra Lounge and in downtown’s Sacramento. This place is a 3.5 place for me. Their menu is simple. They offer tacos, burritos and banh mi with a few ingredients to choose from. Their service is quick. I was surprised that they called my name after 5 minutes. A native of LA who has tried Kogi food truck multiple times, Gogi is not comparable to Kogi. Kogi’s tacos were delicious and a strong blend of two cuisines. I found the meat flavors at Gogi to be salty and lukewarm for my taste. I also would like them to add chips to their combo meals. In addition, it would have been more interesting if they could have offered more unique fusion options — like kimchi quesadilla.

It’s been a while since I’v been back but I’m still a fan of Gogi’s Korean Burrito. Their hours mainly cater to the lunch and late night post party crowd but if your lucky enough to grab something while they’re open you’ll leave satisfied for sure. My thoughts: I prefer the tacos over burrito. If you get the burrito, unless you really love rice, request less rice so you can taste the flavors in the meat and other stuff. Both the spicy pork and Korean short ribs are good. I’d get either or depending on my mood. The last time we were there it seemed like the lemonade was flying out the door so I’ll have to try that next time. Service for the most part is pretty good but can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is and how many people are working behind the counter. Last time we had to wait a bit longer than usual since there was only 1 person working and she was taking orders from inside the park and on the street side. It looks like they added burrito bowls and banh mis since the last time I visited so maybe I’ll give one of those a try next time. There is limited outdoor seating so be prepared to hang out in the cold(if its not summer) or take it to go. Parking is also limited so if you are already parked somewhere else, just walk over.

This place isn’t always open. In fact, it’s more of a late night option when you’re out and about. However, the Korean tacos are very good. They have a spicy pork taco which is yummy and the banh mi sandwich is good too.

LOVE how this place is located inside of The Park Ultra Lounge! I ALWAYS eat here either during or after clubbing! The food is so good too! I usually order the chicken bowel which comes with rice and pickled cabbage or bulgogi burritos! They even offer Banh Mi’s and shaved ice which both look amazing as well! This is more of a to-go place versus a restaurant but they do offer outside seating or you can sit on the benches inside the club. The two young girls that usual work at nighttime are extremely friendly and make sure your order is ready within five minutes at most! Their hours are a bit random as they cater mostly to the state worker lunch rush and late night crowd. Monday-Friday 11AM-2:30PM Friday-Saturday 9PM-2:30AM Sundays– closed Overall, a MUSTTRY!

I love tacos. I love Korean BBQ. Put them together and damn am I in love. I’ve only had tacos so far. I’m definitely interested in trying the burritos soon. They also are offering sliders. Mmmmmmm… I can only imagine the yummy goodness. Burrito bowls and banh mi also on the menu, but I can’t see myself paying for that $ 3 for banh my anytime soon. Parking is a bitch, naturally, but it’s fast and friendly service. Mmmmmmmm. I’m glad it’s near enough to my office that’s it’s just a short drive away(but damn is trying to find parking a bitch!).

My first experience with Korean tacos was, fittingly, at Tako. Elaine F. said I had to try Gogi’s too, so on a late Saturday night after an evening 5K we went to check it out. I had the bulgogi burrito and some chicken tacos, yum! More recently, after seeing a show at the Community Center Theater, stopped by for an afternoon snack — the bulgogi bowl for me. Always a satisfying meal, sidewalk table seating was fine for eating quick and people-watching too! Sidenote: the shaved ice they serve is ginormous humongous and colossal. I didn’t order one but seeing it in person is awesome.

Small store on the sidewalk serving late night korean taco snacks Located next to several bars, this small«hut» is the perfect place to stop by for late night snacks after bar crawls. The large outdoor benches outside makes this place ideal for groups. In fact, the outdoor seating has such a good vibe, we actually saw couples going on dates there. Not bad! In terms of food quality, the taco is pretty good, and the price is reasonable. The portions are also pretty good. Overall a place to stop by if you happen to be in the area after a night of partying.

ALOHA from Sacramento! Sacramento!!! That’s right fellow Sacramento Unilocalers. A taste of the islands has finally hit Gogi Korean BBQ with their incredible Shaved Ice!!! That’s right… shaved ice! If you are excited, you should be. This shaved ice is totally legit. Make your own creation or pick one of their house made favorites. My nephew and I went yesterday and ordered their POG(Passion-Orange-Guava) and Rainbow. The size of these creations is huge! I thought the price of $ 5.50 was a bit steep, until the behemoth ice sculptures arrived. We didn’t know where to begin. We just knew we had to take a photo of it because no one would believe us. Every spoonful was amazing. I felt like I was on vacation in Hawaii although the smell of Capitol Park and noise of the cars on L Street told me otherwise. The flavors were intense, but not overly sweet. The familiar holes in the ice held the Snow Cap(condensed milk) well and evenly distributed with each spoonful. Towards the middle, it appeared that I needed more syrup, as the ice was white as snow with a multitude of colors surrounding. This is when my nephew said, «Oh snap! There’s ice cream in the middle!» That’s when I had to read the menu again… sure enough… ice cream. It was truly just like being in Hawaii. Go get yours today and tell me what you think. Thank you, cousin Julie Ota, for posting your pictures on FB. If it wasn’t for you, I would have ended up in line at Osaka-Ya yesterday instead. Simply Wonderful! Gogi Korean BBQ hit it out of the Park(pun intended) with this new summery goodness addition to their menu.
