Grrrr. Yah me no like this place and after this evenings visit I won’t ever oblige them with my business again. Been to the one in Reno and I stumbled upon this location in Natomas so I thought I would give it another go. There is definitely no service with a smile here. I couldn’t even get a hello. The young kid ringing me up acted like a complete snit with a chip on his shoulder. My receipt said«Eric» but who knows if that was the same fella ringing me up. Is it too much to ask now a days to get greeted with at least a hello? Pathetic. Even more pathetic than the lack of respect and gracious attitude for choosing to spend my money here was the actual sandwich. Got a turkey sandwich and it was so puny in size and few condiments all for pushing $ 7 bucks. What a rip off. I didn’t even get cheese! This was just for a sandwich — no drink, no chips! My suggestion is to go elsewhere for a sandwich. Heck even Subway would be better(!) My bread had obviously been setting out many hours cuz it had a hard outside… kinda stale. Drenched in mayo and I didn’t even get a pickle or mustard! I literally have no clue where my money went looking at this pathetic food. Go anywhere but here. I will say the only nice person working tonight was an older gentleman who was the only one thanking me for coming in — of course as I was leaving. The whole time eating there I felt uncomfortable while the male staff members gave me odd looks. Seriously? Like I can’t be left alone to eat with my kids without being stared at. Lame. This place is for the birds. Done.

Despite their friendly and efficient workers, the flavor just isn’t there for me. Their sandwiches are really bland/plain. I work nearby and they were nice enough to bring us samples before, but they just don’t have flavor. I admit, their bread is nice and soft, but other than that the only flavor of the sandwich is MAYO. They also use shredded lettuce, which I’m not a huge fan of. On their grand opening they had a $ 1 promotion, so I tried their tuna. It was VERY salty. There were probably 15 workers there, which I found crazy. How many people does it take to make a sandwich? My order was ready in 1 minute, but it was weird. The restaurant was also very loud because all the workers talking and the loud music. I would not return or recommend.

Tried this sandwich place out for the first time! It is a new joint next to Panera Bread so there is some competition! This place is clean and very welcoming! The staff is friendly and recommends the favorites which I appreciate. They do have a pretty good selection of sandwiches BUT I feel it does not have as much as Subway. Also, one thing I LOVE about subway is they have Toasted sandwiches and Jimmy Johns DOESNOT. That is a big disappointment to me because I love toasted warm sandwiches. I ordered a #9 which is the Italian Night Club which has real Genoa salami, Italian capicola, smoked ham, provolone cheese topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and the homemade Italian vinaigrette. Also, you can get hot peppers but I passed! The bread was white and it was pretty good(fresh). The club was 8″ which is a good size. I ordered BBQ chips as well and the total price came out to be about $ 9… not bad. The overall sandwich was pretty good, tasted fresh and every bite I took i got everything which is good(meaning I got meat, produce, mayo, etc all in one bite.) When you order out, they do NOT give you bags(Just FYI). Its a good sandwich spot and I JUSTWISH they had toasted subs! Would I be back… Maybe… but its worth a try!

I chose this spot specifically to have a healthier lunch. I left feeling like I ate a loaf white bread and a pound of mayo. There was no flavor at all. Never eaten here before, I asked the employee if I could order/create my own sandwich. She replied with«they’re all standard, you have to order one from the menu». There being a line behind me, I felt rushed so I just ordered a #12, I love turkey & avocado! She quickly yelled my order back to the kitchen before I could add or subtract anything. Sandwich needed salt & pepper, mustard, onion… flavor! I was highly disappointed in the lack of menu explanation & blandness of the overall taste(the only flavor was mayo!). Oh and I was given a wrapped up sandwich, I ate in the restaurant though… wasn’t provided any napkins nor spotted any napkin dispensers on the tables. Weird. Not impressed.

I might be addicted! Seriously delicious sandwiches, chips, cookies and gigantic pickles at a great price point. You can’t go wrong with freshly sliced meats! I haven’t had a sandwich that I don’t like. Even the unwiches(lettuce wrap) are yummy! My FAV is the Club LuLu on wheat, I add onions, Dijon and sauce. The tuna sandwich on French is probably my #2! Try it!!! The service is so fast, and the employees are very upbeat. The shop its self is awesome, very bright and lively. When ordering check out the freebies, you can add items to your sandwich! Anyone who loves subs should swing by, or order online and have it delivered!!!

I was seriously overjoyed when I discovered that Jimmy Johns, one of my favorite sandwich chains, had made its way over to the west coast/Sacramento! I stopped in for lunch & ordered the Vito on wheat bread with peppers & it did not disappoint. Also the service was good, my sandwich was ready soon after I ordered & tasted amazing!

love this place we were so excited that they finally opened one in Sacramento after getting subs back in Missouri all the time and then the trips to Reno to grab em. Now we would be able to pick one up and we don’t have to leave town. :) We have been ordering from the App and love how easy it is to use. Love the Gargantuan we always add sprouts and peppers.

I don’t know what they do to their sub’s to make them so good, but gawd dam they are amazing. Just wish they had one closer to my house!

I got so excited when I saw this new location upon moving back to Sacramento. I first had it in Ohio, then to my delight discovered it in Beverly Hills — and now it is here! Because I am familiar with JJ’s it did not disappoint. Had my usual Turkey Tom with sprouts. It was ready fairly quickly.(Less than a 2 minute wait.) Definitely will be back.

If there was an option to go with no stars I would. This place was way overpriced for what they are offering! Do yourself a favor and go to Blair or Safeway. This sandwich was pathetic and puny. Will not be returning.

I’ve been about 6 times in 5 weeks. I discovered Jimmy John’s outside of Toledo a few years back. I order the same thing every time, #9 Italian with hot peppers. The bread is super fresh, the sandwich is extra tasty and very filling. Much better than TOGOs, Subway or Panera. I’m not dissing the others, but it is a good reminder of my Midwestern roots. Great staff, service, and a damned good submarine.

I was so excited to see my beloved sandwich chain finally come to Sac! I can’t believe there’s so many people giving Jimmy John’s bad ratings! As a JJ’s enthusiast and patron of multiple locations, this one is exactly the same as all of the others — and that’s a good thing! The only downside is that it closes at 10 pm and I’m used to JJ’s around colleges not closing until 2 am. I happen to love the french bread and the sandwiches here. They’re fresh, fast, customizable, and delicious. Plus their delivery is super fast. The sandwiches definitely aren’t as big as some of the other places around town, but they’re standard JJ sandwiches. Anyone complaining must just not be familiar with the chain. Like they say, haters gonna hate. This JJ-loving-sandwich-eater will definitely be back for more!

I decided to try Jimmy Johns because I love me some sandwiches. It only helps that I literally work across the street from this new establishment so why not give it a try. I usually take lunch around 1:30 so to my luck, I was the first person in line. The first thing that I noticed was that the front counter employees were extremely helpful. They helped with recommendations and assisted me with picking the sandwich that caught my eye. However, on this particular day, I was in the mood for a hot sandwich. That’s when I quickly found out, that Jimmy Johns does not serve hit sandwiches. Being on lunch and hungry, I decided to try the Italian Night Club. I was actually really impressed with how delicious the sandwich was. The bread was really soft and you could tell the meats were freshly cut. The most impressive part was that my sandwich was made literally within 3 minutes of me ordering it. Overall, I had a good experience here at Jimmy Johns. The staff was great, the sandwich was good and the location is decent. This score would have been higher if they would offer hot subs since that’s what I order the majority of the time, but that’s just my preference. I will definitely come back when I decide to go on a hike or picnic and need to take food with me to go.

Over priced and my beach club had very little meat and i finally found the dab of avocado on one side. The gave me extra mayo and extra lettuce(unfortunately) though so it seems the cheapest ingredients are the majority of the sandwich. Also, apparently only provolone here? I prefer cheddar and my fiancée like american… Told me no go. Staff seemed nice and for the lunch rush on a weekend it was really not busy. First and last time for me here. Between sub exprees, mr. pickles, and safeway there are better sandwich options in Natomas for the money.

Excited to try this place! I’ve been told that they have great subs!!! Update: we’ve been twice. Both times the experiences weren’t good. We ordered to go, and when we got home, the sandwiches were nothing more than bad bread stuffed with a little amount of meat. The sandwiches weren’t prepared as requested. Dry. Little meat. One piece of cheese that didn’t cover the inside of even half the sandwich. Not sure we’d go back and give them another chance. The staff wasn’t nice either. How hard is it to say hello?

Your price point is too high compared to other jimmy johns and I just witnessed one of your employees attempting to throw trash away like they’re shooting baskets. Very unprofessional witnessing your employees throw trash over the counter. Not to mention where is the friendly vibe? I know this is the first Jimmy John’s in Sacramento but it is very obvious that your staff do not have any knowledge about JJ and the sandwiches they sell. Amending my score after getting home, paying for an avocado add on and not getting it.

I heard good reviews from friends about this sandwich place and was interested to check it out. I like sandwiches and i was hoping that it would really be a great spot because it so close to home. Jimmy Johns is located in the Rite Aid/Safeway shopping center next to Hair Phases and Panera Bread. The hours are not listed on the door, but the employees said they close at 10 p.m. everyday. I think the décor is supposed to look kinda like a Chicago-style restaurant. Red bricks, neon signs, etc… and it also has some witty signs on the walls. They opened recently so the restaurant was clean and smelled of fresh baked bread. You order at the counter the type of sandwich you want. If you want any changes to the standard sandwich, then you would tell them while you order. It’s not a point and choose place like Subway. I had The Billy Sandwich, which had roast beef. The sandwich was made very quickly and came with a bag of chips. I ordered one of the giant club sandwiches which supposedly gonna have a lot more meat than the regular ones. When I got it, the first thing that popped into my head was«That’s it?» I was a little underwhelmed by it but luckily for me it tasted better than it looked. The bread was soft and chewy and tasty. The deli meat tasted well made but I wish they added a bit more of it. The veggies were fresh and crunchy. The sandwich was $ 8 which I feel is a little pricey for a 10″ sub. The only issue i noticed was the booth seats seemed very narrow/small to sit in. I would probably take a sandwich to go the next time. I’d probably come back again sometime to try a different sandwich but so far there isn’t anything that would really make me want to keep on coming back for more.

I’m am so glad Jimmy Johns finally came to Sacramento. I remember eating JJ subs back in the Midwest and they were delicious. When you are walking up you will notice the aroma of freshly baked bread. Open those doors and look at he menu board. I am not much of a veggie person so my go to is the big slim 5. Only 4 bux and it tastes great paired with those bbq chips that are kettle typed. I also like to grab a couple of the day old bread loads for a buck and use for sandwiches at home or garlic bread. Yum Yum.

First time I drove by and noticed the signage, I got super excited. Hadn’t had a J.J. sub since that one road trip from Great Falls. Finally the franchise comes here! First, it’s tucked away in the corner past Hair Phases/Panera, where It’s A Grind used to be. The signage facing Del Paso is definitely more attention-getting(look for the patio umbrellas). Very spacious and that new/clean feel, workers with very friendly greetings. One register open for a mid-Sunday afternoon. There was some issue with the card reader but after a few attempts one worker solved it just like that. They literally just opened a few days ago, so I’ll forgive them those little kinks to work out. If you’re unfamiliar with the menu, subs have 1 serving of meat and clubs have 2 servings. Standard is French roll and provolone cheese. Most popular are the #9 Italian Night Club and #12 Beach Club. The sandwich was done right away, got the bag of chips and soda with it and decided to eat in. Ordered the #2 Big John 8″(cold) sub straight up(roast beef on french roll, standard mayo, lettuce, tomato). I figured, try it as is first then next time can get whole grain bread and add mustard and such, less mayo or whatever. Upon first look, didn’t look like much, but don’t be fooled. The bread was soft, just enough mayo, and the beef wasn’t tough, thinly sliced. To be honest, I know some people would prefer a more«loaded,» hefty ‘wich that you’d have trouble biting into, but this was just right for me. The chips are Idaho potatoes cooked in peanut oil and sea salt, keeping it simple. The fountain cups are the more rigid plastic which was something else I noticed. Sub combo for under ten bucks was good! Not as close distance-wise as Subway but not as far as Mr. Pickles, Beach Hut or Firehouse for me to get to. I will be back.
