I have walked by this place many times hoping to give it a try but it has always been super packed with no place to sit. Well today was my day! It is really nice that they have their menu and specials posted in the window so you can decide what you want before getting in line. I also like that their menu is simple and to the point. I ordered the Monterey Burger which came with bacon, avocado, some awesome sauce and all the other fixin’s. It was slap-yo-mama good. It came with a drink and steak-cut fries; none of these rinky-dink, crinkle cut Elementary school cafeteria fries like I’m some kind of jerk. Real fries. What is super cool is they price their combo meals so that they come out to a rounded dollar amount after tax(at least that was the case today). You see, these people know how to think. They come up with ways to get people in, fed, and on their way as quickly as possible.

I am seriously questioning the validity of all these 5 stars given to this place. Honestly I think it’s a solid a-ok…but they didn’t really make me fan. i think in a death match steak escape would have snapped these guys necks… and thats mall food. Granted I didn’t try their burgers, maybe I will tomorrow. it seems like a decent place to get lunch on the«j». typical downtown eatery pre-fixed gear era. I had the Philly cheese steak… not bad. they had the frozen steak fries which were ok. nothing to write home about. Sometimes you don’t feel like the goat cheese and apple salad with thai peanut sauce with freshly picked spinach… if you get my drift. sometimes you need a burger and fries. i did like how they had the soda fountain unlimited drinks serve yerself. if anyones read my reviews before… getting my three diet cokes per meal is a necessity and sometimes i like controlling my own destiny. 5 stars — no, but it’s a decent place to grab a bite to eat and the staff was quick, polite and efficient.

Enjoyed breakfast here — mushroom, bacon & Jack cheese omelete — with hash browns and sourdough toast. Plate was full of food. I mean full. Not much plate space. Bacon was thick. I wanted orange juice, but they were out, so I asked for iced tea. The woman behind the counter(no waitress — order at cash register) pointed to refrigerator and advised«it’s in the pitcher.» Freshly brewed iced tea. LOVEIT. It’s a basic eatery with simple décor. Big servings, so you get your money’s worth. Not five stars, because parking is a pain. Not the restaurant’s fault, just sayin’.
