I have been a patient there for over 15 years. 3 years ago I bought a pair of glasses for over $ 500 because I had to pay extra for the anti glare, but as it seems anti glare does not work and it has been discontinued so is was just a waste of money. I just bought another pair of glasses for over $ 300 and when I got home I noticed that the edges on them were sharp and uneven. I went back to his office and I was told that they were not polished and if I wanted to have them polished down and the sharp edges taking off I would have to send them back out again and pay more money. I was not told about this when I orderd the glasses. I will not go back there again as I told the girl at the front desk. To dispense a pair of glasses like this is very unprofessional and asking for more money to have it done properly is close to being a scam.

Who would’ve thought brain surgery would affect my eyesight? Thanks to Dr. Sue, my eyes have been feeling better, I’m squinting less, and well, I can see clearly now the rain is gone ! I really would’ve appreciated a glass wipe thing to go with my new glasses and a call telling me my glasses were ready but those are minor things. 5 stars to you, Dr. Sue!

Arrogant and condescending are the two words that best describe Mr Sue. He did not do a good job of explaining my results. When questioned he was not forthcoming at all.

I must have caught Dr. Sue on a off day… He was a recommendation from someone I know, but I was not comfortable with him at all. He was condescending, as I tried to ask him questions. I decided to go see him as my OD is out of town and I needed to see someone soon as I was having vision problems… I should have waited and gone back to my regular Optometrist…

Dr. Sue is the sweetest, kindest man ever. Perfect for someone who typically HATES doctors of all kinds, or who has eye phobias. He’s also fast and thorough — and he carries a great selection of glasses.

Need an optometrist? Work downtown? Dr. Sue is a great optometrist. Friendly, professional, and takes time to do a thorough check of your eyes’ health, including updating your medical history, high-​tech imaging not requiring dialation drops, glaucoma screening and peripheral vision testing. He take the time to make sure you have a second chance to look at the «better or worse» choices when he tests your vision to determine your optimal description. He’ll help you pick out your frames if you like and his giggle is reminiscent of Ex-​Chief inspector Dreyfuss of the Pink Pather movies (Herbert Lom). Glasses are usually read in 1 – 2 weeks, it’s easy to make an appointment, and the front desk is very good about contacting you a day before your appointment to remind you and calling as soon as your glasses are ready. When I used to train new hires to the State, I always referred them, but maybe this will get to more people. Conveniently located on the K-​street mall at 12^th, sort of across from IMAX.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sue’s for over 10 years. He’s very thorough and his prices seem reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who needs eye care.
