.. . Completely closed down, sign is even gone. .. was just here 2 weeks ago! Always seemed terribly quiet & empty — but surprised that it just disappeared so suddenly. Always enjoyed the breakfast & the very nice waitresses; hope they have been able to find new employment so quickly.

What a great place! The big kicker for me? An amazing staff-member there named Vanessa. She has singlehandedly made coming here every month for a board meeting of a group with which I’m associated pleasant. How many people can say they like going to meetings? There’s a really nice sized private room with tables set up that includes a nice flat-screen TV with in-wall AV hookups. Our meetings are right as Lumberjacks opens, yet there’s never been a problem with their not being ready for us. The staff there(with Vanessa leading the way) is ready, willing, and smilingly able. Need a great meeting place that serves great(very large portioned) food? You’ve GOT to give this Lumberjacks a good look. Get here and let Vanessa and staff make you feel welcomed and well cared for!

Food is good, portions are huge, prices are reasonable but service is not that good. I went during off peak hrs, on a Monday, and still had to wait to be seated. Hostess saw us at least three times and didn’t acknowledge us at all. After she cleaned tables, we eventually got seated. The wait for our food was thirty minutes! The food was good, but not worth the half hour wait. Waitress was nice, but I don’t think I am coming back anytime soon. Not impressed.

I am still sitting at there table as I write this review. I am not pleased with this place. My husband and I arrived @ 215p, it was practically empty, and we did not get our food until 255p. The waitress kept apologizing for the lateness of the food. I was not happy with my meal(Breakfast Classics w Bacon). The bacon was delicious but the eggs were dry and overcooked(scrambled), and our country potatos were not country by any standards. They were just cut-up red potatos with no seasoning. My husband enjoyed his dish(some omlette) but they forgot to put the hollindaise sauce on-top. Overall between the amount of time it took to serve our food and the substandard quality, I recommend you save your money and go else where. I would have preferred to eat at Denny’s.

Good food, nice servers, bad management! Our server had a section that was way to large and a party of 20 on top of it. Refills were rare. I never once saw the manager on the floor helping is crew while the restaurant was packed. It WA a busy graduation weekend and they had no staff working. If a manager had shown his face during the restaurants time of need they would have received more stars

I don’t see why this place gets such bad reviews, me and my boyfriend came here for lunch today. Service was good, food was amazing and the place is just awesome. I got a breakfast classic plate with sausage links… The sausages were huge!!! And they tasted amazing too!!! I definitely will be coming back and soon!!!

It’s like a Denny’s, but with better food, service, and atmosphere in my opinion. The food menu choices are almost the same with Denny’s. I came with a group of classmates since we go to school nearby so the location is very convenient. The food was very good. I got the breakfast with sausage links that came with hash browns and eggs. The food came within a decent amount of time. The service was great as well. Our server made it very convenient and organized for us even if we had about 8 different split checks. She gave us our checks before the food came out so we can just leave as soon as we were done since we were on a time crunch. This place is a little more pricey compared to Denny’s since they don’t have some kind of value menu. For 2 people, the bill came out to about $ 30. Overall though, it was a good experience and we will probably be back.

The portions are huge! I got their pork lion fried with gravy and it was really good. Their gravy was really good too! It was only 9.49 and it came with potatoes and toast. For your potatoes to be loaded it was an extra .99. My Husband got the santa fe skillet and he enjoyed it a lot The service was pretty fast for us today maybe because there weren’t many customers. The service was great. My potatoes were undercooked so i was a little unhappy about that. Overall I would return and you do get you moneys worth!

Love the cinnabon French toast combo with applewood sausage, it is the best! Not sure what the other food is like but me and my wife really enjoy the food as she has had other plates.

Went there today only because it was close to where we were at the time. One person in my party ordered the corned beef hash. It arrived and the corned beef was a gray color. At first we thought it was beef but I tasted it too and decided it was just really old corned beef. We even asked the waitress to verify that is was corned beef. When was that corned beef cooked? It was not consumed for obvious reasons and they removed it from the bill. But why would you plate something obviously that old and sent it out to a customer? Who is running this place?

Where do I begin, My sister loves this place, she would come here when she live near by. I don’t know what happen with this place. but it suck. The server was friendly and helpful, but was first week on the job. 20mins before our drinks would come, another 15mins our food. The salad came after the main course which my was cold, not tasty, Paul Bunyan, is gone, Not worth coming from the bay area for. But like to see improvement of the place.

Came here to use the Living Social deal we got back in May. Food is not exciting at all. Had the BBQ burger. It was just ok… Def a Denny’s type restaurant as far as quality goes. Every time I’ve been here the servers seem to be nowhere to be found. Service is not good at all.

Apparently, Lumberjacks has been around for a minute and I just finally got around to checking it out. I guess better late than never. What I like is that they got my breakfast order like just as I requested it. I got the 10oz sirloin steak, which came with hash browns, two eggs, and toast. The portions were literally fit to feed a damn lumberjack. What impressed me and ultimately made me a future frequent customer, is that when I asked for my steak to be rare, they made it rare as I had imagined it. I like and want that damn thing to moo at me. It seems so hard for restaurants to make a rare steak. At every other place, they make it either medium or medium-rare. Another thing I asked for was that I wanted my hash browns to be extra crispy. They also got that down. When I eat my hash browns, I want people to hear the hash brown crunch as I’m scarfing it down the face. Our server was really nice and attentive. She kept coming by to check on us and apologized repeatedly while we were waiting for our food telling us that it’s coming soon. What’s funny is that we didn’t even rush her nor did we feel like it took forever for our food to come out. Nonetheless, I appreciated that gesture. The décor is very interesting and fitting for the theme of the restaurant. Walking in, you’ll feel as if though you’ve walked into a cabin in Tahoe. Very spacious and lots of seating. Flannel shirt and chainsaws are not required to dine at Lumberjacks!

Definitely surprised by some of the other reviews on here. Maybe it’s because I’m a weekly regular, but the service I receive is always top-notch. For about $ 6 you can get the country-fried steak special which is a steal. The coffee is decent unlike at some fast food joints, and like I said before the manager Gina always takes great care of the customers. Keep up the good work!

This review was from a pat visit and I never posted it. Found it this morning. My BBQ Burger was terrible on this visit. I like the store on Madison better.

My girlfriend and I prefer coming here for breakfast over Dennys. Lumberjacks offer lumberjack style breakfast and lunch(large portions). Honestly, One meal can be enough for two people. The food is delicious. The daily specials are worth ordering as well. There are some days where service is great, however, for the most part, the service is okay. I like the ambiance of the place. They have tvs everywhere showing lumberjack competitions. I’d come here few times a year.

Every time I have been to this location I have been satisfied with their service. But my latest visit was not pleasing. I truly believe that this location may need more staff to help with the amount of customer traffic that they deal with. Our waiter did not come by once to offer a refill or ask if we were doing okay once the food was delivered, When it came ready for the check, we had to walk up to the cashier and ask for our receipt. The quality of the food seems to be falling off as well. other times I have been pleased with the food, but for some reason this time around I was not, the eggs seemed to dry(scrambled) and my french toast was okay(prior visits it was better). Overall an okay visit, but doesn’t make you want to come back. The menu has a great selection from breakfast to lunch to dinner items. So no matter what your hunger is in the mood for, they will have what you may crave for in order to conquer that hunger of yours. Also a quick recommendation, lower the price for orange juice. A cup of OJ is $ 3.49. I could buy a jug of OJ for $ 5. way over priced in my opinion.

First of all, these guys stole my husband’s image when designing their mascot. So ever since we saw the sign going up, we knew we had to stop in. The Groupon deal convinced us to try it. This place is exactly what you would expect: cabin style décor, country music, lumberjack competitions on TV, and huge plates of mediocre food for a good price. Is it a dining experience? No. Is it a place I would crave? No. Is it the place to go to impress a date? No. But seriously, what do you expect from a place called«Lumberjacks» that advertises $ 3 breakfasts? The fries were good, the tuna melt was edible, and my husband cleaned his plate of the Philly. The service was friendly, the prices are low, and we left full. It was exactly what we expected.

We decided upon this restaurant for a Sunday morning breakfast. My boyfriend and dad had eaten here over a year ago, and weren’t too impressed with the service or the mediocre food. But I wanted to give it another try since more often than not, businesses have good days and bad days. When we first arrived here, the first thing I noticed was the giant and colorful figure of a lumberjack holding his Ax and placed up high to intentionally attract the attention of passers by to see. Then, I noticed the large sign displaying some of the prices for their breakfast and lunch specials. Looked like some pretty good deals to me! Upon entering, the building is designed to give you that log cabin feel, although it’s obvious that it is all fake lumber. I was happy to think that few trees were harmed in the making of this restaurant. A gas fireplace is near the entrance to add some warmth and coziness to the environment. Some TVs are placed in a few areas around the room displaying mostly advertisements for the restaurant itself. I guess there weren’t any lumberjack reality shows on that morning. Our waitress,(Nicole I think), was very pleasant and took our orders in a timely manner. I ordered the vegetable and cheese omelet with home style potatoes & wheat toast, and the BF ordered chicken fried steak with hash browns & a biscuit. I also got an extremely large glass of orange juice, fit for Paul Bunyan himself! It didn’t take very long to get our food, which tasted pretty good and the portions were adequate. My only complaint was that my home style potatoes were a little disappointing. They were just soft, cubed potatoes with little flavor. I prefer mine crisp on the outside with some seasoning. Other than that, I thought this was a good place to eat for the money and wouldn’t mind returning again!
