Mountain Mike’s Pizza

Good pizza … We received what we ordered. Italian sausage was delicious. Ordered salad to go… The lettuce was a little brown, but everything else was fresh. I would go back.

Update. Three months after my last review. I called to order a delivery. The person on the phone insisted that they did not deliver to my address. I then explained that I had them delivery previously. She reiterated they could not deliver to me. No recommendation of another MM I could call or anything. I called back and explained I had had deliveries to my home from this location before several times. She double checked my phone number and even read me my own address to me and said they do not deliver to me. Even my asking why then do they have my address on file. She said sorry but we don’t deliver. Ugh. I was so frustrated. I ended up calling another place and ordering pizza. A half hour lady the manager called and apologized for being wrong. Really a bummer because they have good pizza but they would not listen to reason and challenge the delivery denial-​even when I called back twice trying to get them to understand.

This store look very clean and so many tv for watch sports. Good for this neighborhood.

I will literally drive 30 minutes just to eat at a different mountain mikes location. That being said I love mountain mikes, this location however is lacking. The salad buffet is not fresh and if you go for the lunch all you can eat be aware they only make 3 kinds of basic pizza, and they stopping putting out pizzas at 130. So after after 130 be prepared to munch on the last measly pizza sitting there with no other options.
If you like mountain mikes save yourself the let down and go to a different location than this one on La Riviera.

Came from NYC. My friend recommended this place the pizza was amazing. The staff was friendly. The place was very clean. I had a great experience. I highly recommend this place. Great selection of beer and wine. Also many TV to enjoy the games

Very good pizza. It is currently my favourite pizza place. I can order online and pick it up, which is rather convenient. I particularly like the traditional crust pizza. Keep up the good work Mountain Mike’s!

I’ve been bringing my children here for the last 5 years about once or twice a month. Every time I come in the place has added a new update to either the décor in the restaurant or the menu or game area. It is clean, the pizza is great and the staff are always friendly and helpful. A perfect place to take the family out or celebrate your kid’s sport season. Whatever it may be — Mountain Mike’s on La Riviera is gold!

I’ve never had a problem coming to this location! Definitely one of the pizza joints at the top of my list. They are friendly, accurate, and quite efficient.

Great pizza and quick efficient service. The inside was very clean and well kept. I’d come here for the next 49er game!

We can’t get enough pizza & it had to be here! Especially for the size & appetite of our family. Our favorite is the meat combo! & to have it delivered is a bonus!

Been here many times for lunch. Always have fresh pizza and the staff is really kind. I enjoy being in the area for my lunch hour. Also lots of TVs for sports!

Pizza was actually pretty good. I order a pepperoni and Italian sausage with a side of ranch ! I prefer this place over Pizza Hut. Would totally recommend to others. And they deliver!

Mountain Mikes helped us with a fundraiser over the summer so we really appreciate there kindness!!!
We also love there pizza it’s pricey but so good!

Backstory, after my girlfriend and I had been debating whether or not to get sushi or pizza, we decided on pizza and this Mountain Mikes was one of the only ones open.
We went on a Friday night before closing. The place was empty with only one other couple there ordering. They seemed to have a full staff still. After ordering about $ 15 worth of food each (we were seriously starving), we looked around for a place to sit.
Out of the 40 or so booths and tables ¾ of them were dirty. I worked at a restaurant and for how damn slow they were this was pretty unacceptable. After 20 minutes of us sitting down, one person came out to clear the dishes and food off the other tables. Also, their soda was flat. Kind of a bummer because I do not frequently get soda and was craving a Fanta. Disappointment for sure.
Around 30 minutes of us ordering, we went up to check on the status of our food. We were over waiting and were about to request a refund. Food came out shortly after. Between the two of us there were two pizzas (one veggie, one combo), some wings, and some breadsticks. The breadsticks were the only (barely) edible thing. The pizza and wings sucked. Pizza tasted like random items that weren’t very thoroughly cooked on top of undercooked dough. Wings were super fatty and the buffalo flavoring was sub par.
Long story short, we drove around to find homeless people to give our food to so we wouldn’t feel guilty about throwing it away.
A waste of my time and money. As a Hornet, I was hoping for better. I was definitely not expecting the worst dining experience of my life.

For the second time these idiots failed to deliver a pizza at my house. Then they deny responsibilty by lying and saying they called (lie #1) and knocked on the door (lie #2). I hate it when businesses fail to own up to responsibilty. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. They lack professionalism, integrity, customer service, responsibilty and brain cells. They can’t even answer a phone. I will never do business with this location again. What a joke and the owners are even a bigger joke. Try training your employees do complete simple task. Twice in a month is ridiculous.

This review is mostly for the fact that my 14 month daughter had to be held the entire time we are because they only had one high chair. That’s right, one. The other one they had given me was broken and I was unable to strap her in at all. Luckily, another family was dining at the time and was using the only other chair. Isn’t this place promoted as a family restaurant? So shouldn’t they have more high chairs for parents’ children? Irritated to say the least. The food was pretty good but definitely taking out if I ever decide to come here again

I’m amazed how bad this place went down hill since I been here last during a lunch buffer several months ago. Recent visit on a Sunday afternoon during football season and no customers? OK and after the experience I know now why.
I could tell there must have been a recent change of ownership from the 3 looking gentleman behind counter talking about what needed to be added or changed to a contractor. Well after waiting for 5 or so mins while the one cashier was on the phone trying to fumble her way through a POS system which obviously she had never used or little training. A younger gentleman had took our order and I asked for that half of the combo that I ordered would add anchovy (yum). We got our pizza and about died laughing we got half combo and half cheese with anchovy… interesting.
Have to give credit though to the young gentleman that right away upon delivery to table said was a mistake. really? He said would comp a small combo and then asked if would like anchovies on all or half? I said yes plzzz to all of it., And asked for it to go. low and behold to much of my surprise there was nada a single anchovie to be found on there :*(
This what gets me for being there for about an hour. And maybe its just me but for a non paying customer to come right in to a pizza/​bar and sit down right away and asked them if they can change the channel for a sporting event for them is just damm rude with having no intention on getting nothing not even a drink.
This place is in need of some serious help in owner/​managing.
Pizza was still good even with the mistakes. So 3 stars

So this place is a little dated. In fact it still looks the same from my first visit back in 1994. Happen to be at Sacramento State all day on a Sunday and gave them a try. They are still good. Stuck with a basic one topping pepperoni as if I were on a college budget but I was seriously happy.
I would recommend this place and the guy on the phone even offered to find me a discount for my order! I ordered to go, but decided to stay since I had enough time to dine in and drink up a nice cold draft beer.

They deliver, which is a bonus right there, and I like their meat pizza as it’s packed with meaty topping, no need to waste stomach space on those veggies ’cause when you’re eating bad you might as well be good at it. Side note, the wings are tasty and it helps that they run them through the same oven as the pizza.
