Food is good and priced just right, nothing fancy, Be sure to try the Fried Chicken & Waffle, simply the best I’ve had in the Sacramento area. So good to see Seniors working and taking care of business. Great customer service, waitress, host all courteous and pleasant.

I left my old review up to remember how good this place used to be. The last few times I went there it sucked. Burned sausage rare bacon. I asked for crispy hash browns they were super undercooked and only cooked on 1 side. The gravy had lumps of dough or something in it. My wife asked for fries she got onion rings. This place has just fallen apart. Don’t come here. The ambience is a little like a run down Dennys. But the food more than makes up for it. We have never gotten a menu item we didn’t like. Easily our favorite breakfast place. P. s. try the grilled cheese burger club.

The best dinner and the best service I’ve had in a long time! The waitress was 1 of the best waitress I’ve ever had.(I wish I would’ve got her name but I didn’t. All I can say is she worked Wednesday October 21st) Anyways, she refilled my drink when I needed and brought my box without me having to ask and even offered to put my delicious soup in a small to go cup so I can take it home. I didn’t want to fill up on soup and salad so I was excited to be able to take the soup home with me. I had no idea Perrys Restaurant has such good food. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of my plate but I didn’t. I had the dinner special. Steak, shrimp, soup, salad and I chose sweet potato fries as my side. All of the food was delicious and very affordable. I forgot the steamed vegetables that were served to me were even good. Oh and the ice tea was perfect as well. Now that I know how good the food is I will most definitely be back soon for a another filling meal. I look forward to trying the daily specials in the near future. They all sound yummy. Thank you to my waitress, the cook and Mr Perry’s restaurant for a wonderful dining experience.

I had time to kill in this area. I thought I’d give this quaint looking place a try. I had the club, and it was great. My waitress was Tina. I know because her and all the other customers called each other by name. She was just what you want in a waitress: nice and psychic. Everything was so great, I’m glad I tried it out. Obvious why it’s full of regulars.

I meant to call original Mr. Perrys, but accidentally called this place. The dude that picked up sounded bored, sleepy, annoyed as if he hated his job. Once I realized I called the wrong place he just hung up lol. That’s a bad sign, straight up rude over the phone, that doesn’t make me want to make a trip inside. Guess I’ll keep going to Original Perrys.

We usually enjoy good food and great service here. Tonight was AWFUL! If you want to enjoy a meal go before 10:30. They close at 11:00 and our meal and service sucked. We will never go back on a Wednesday night. The server was inattentive and the food was well below par for this restaurant. As I said we eat here often enough to have noticed a HUGE difference. Our soups were bottom of the pot. Navy Bean with no beans or vegetables, just the liquid. Our salads were the last for the day, brown spotted wilted leaves. I had the meatloaf. Flavor was ok but it is usually grilled a bit to add flavor. This felt and tasted like a microwave. The potato was fine, vegetables were soggy and limp. My husband had the Maryland Chicken Breast. It looked better than mine and he was enjoying his third bite when he pulled part of a PLASTIC bag out of his stuffing! Needless to say we got up and left. They took his chicken off the bill with insincere apologies. We will go back on the weekend when Erica is serving and they are not in a hurry to close.

Great service, nice atmosphere, & big portions of good food! I finally decided to check out Mr. Perry’s Diner for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. The waitress sat me down immediately and got me a cup of coffee. Within 5 minutes she came back to take my order. I ordered the breaded pork chops with 3 eggs and hash browns and man was it good! The only complaint I can think of is how the portion is so big and I could barely finished it. My only suggestion would be to give customers different serving sizes. But other than that, the food is great, they’re open late, nice staff. I’ll definitely be back for the rest of the menu!

Mr. Perry’s is the place to go when ya want some good Olé Prime Ribs! I usually come here for dinner or late nights. The restaurant is pretty old school but comfy enough. So, if ya come here around afternoon time, you’ll be surrounded by many loving elders. The food is what matters! At night is a different crowd. Anywho, Mr. Perrys got good deals every day of the week. Also, they’ve got their 3 course meal for 2 at $ 24. Pretty good deal eh. But I’m usually there for their $ 6.99 Prime Ribs. Can’t beat that, right!

On a day when I just can’t decide what I’m hungry for, this is one place to go! This popular coffee shop has been around for as long as I can remember. And they haven’t changed much during the passage of time. I have eaten here on many occasions over the years because it offers a little bit of everything for any appetite. Good old fashion breakfasts, from lunch, to dinner, to late night cravings. Eat light or eat heavy, the choices are numerous. I have had their meatloaf with mashed potatoes & gravy just like grandma used to make. The salads are loaded with the usual lettuce, tomatoes, shredded veggies, croutons and a nice selection of dressings. I’m particular about what kind of salad dressing I like, and they always have it here. During previous lunch breaks, I’ve ordered the«Tuna Lorenzo». I love tuna sandwiches and the way they prepare them are even better than a tuna melt. They are a little greasy, but still so delicious. Sometimes I’m just in the mood for something sweet. So you can choose from a tempting list of pies, cakes, ice cream concoctions or shakes. The service is always friendly(but not always fast). There are TVs to watch all around the table areas, which is nice for those silent eaters that don’t always have much to say while dining. I’m glad there is a restaurant like this close to my home when I face those days of gastronomic indecision!

Where do they find their waitresses?! So friendly, upbeat and well trained. Service that would please Gordon Ramsey. As for the food, very good and cheap! They offer so many deals, best to ask your waitress. For instance, I had the complete meal deal for two for just $ 24. It comes with 2 appetizers, 2 soups or salads, 2 dinner entrees, 2 desserts, and 2 beverages(list of choices). I had buffalo wings, salad, Prime rib w/mashed potatoes, chocolate sundae, and a coke with free refills. My wife had wings, salad, Chuck Steak w/fries, choc. sundae, and Sierra Mist. What an incredible deal!!! I wonder how they can make any profit giving so much food for such a low price?! I highly recommend this place if you love getting the best bang for your bucks! Keep in mind, this is a diner. So, don’t set your standards too high and you’ll really enjoy your meal.

3.5 stars. Just as we were walking into this restaurant my HB notices that there is dry rot on the outside of the building. We both hadn’t been here in thirty plus years and it shows. We had to wait a bit before being seated. It was not really much of a wait. The waitress was on point the entire time which was surely a plus. I ordered French toast combo and my HB ordered an omelet with sausage, veggies and cheese. His entrée came with juice; he of course chose cranberry. The food came super quick! Mine came with four slices of French toast, 4 pieces of bacon and a half a peach. My HB’s order came with hash brown and sourdough toast. I couldn’t finish all of my food plus my HB only ate half of his. We took it all to go. As I got up to leave, I looked down at the floor and there was a missing tile! I just about ran into an employee there who was carrying mugs. It was a blind corner and I can see why that happened. He profusely apologized! Lol I thought the food here was decent! It started to get busy and mainly old timers seem to frequent this place. If it wasn’t for our BOGO coupon we prolly wouldn’t have been here for breakfast. So it’s a good chance we may or may not be back if we get to it… down the line? The place could use some renovations but I’m sure that can be costly but they seem to have pretty good business after being there this morning. They have been around for many many years!!!

I’ve been wanting to give this place a try since I’ve heard so much about it. It’s an older establishment. The décor is little out dated but tastefully decorated. My coworker and I came in for breakfast. I decided to order from their special menu. I had the 2 eggs over easy, 2 pieces of bacon(or sausage), crispy hash browns, and toast for $ 5.29. The food came out how I ordered it. The breakfast was a classic! It’s good. If you’re looking for flavor or spices in your food… this may not be the place for you. I am not saying this place is bad. This is more of the classics. For the portions and the price… you really can’t beat it. Our waitress had been working here over 20 years! It’s amazing that she had been here that long. Waiting on people is not an easy task. More power to her! She was extremely cordial and checked in on us! Great job! I’ll have to come back and give their full menu a try! This place is conveniently located off the highway. They have plenty of parking.(private parking lot with extra parking behind the building.)

Came here for lunch with my cousin. The place is very vintage and sort of grandmas diner from 20 years ago, but it’s charming. Coffee is delicious and their food,. I’m definitely coming back here. The service is friendly but a little slow so expect to be here for at least an hour. This place is a definite must try in Elk Grove.

This place has been here for a long time. We’ve been eating here for at least 25 years. The food and service are consistently good. They are inexpensive, large portions, you get both soup and salad with dinners, and there is a huge variety of foods to select from. My favorite meal is breakfast, and they do not disappoint!

We’ve frequented Original Perry’s in the past, but never made it over to Mr. Perry’s until today. Although it’s the same menu, the feel of the place was very different. The booths are all tucked away and sectioned off so it’s a little cramped, but cozy. Tables turned fairly quickly and I didn’t notice anyone lingering over their coffee. Lets just go by the little survey they have at the bottom of their receipts! The food was fair. A very juicy and well seasoned hamburger and a kinda awful corned beef hash. Eggs were perfect, fries were fine. The service was great. Very prompt and straightforward without being rude. Efficient without being dismissive. AND they let you eat before coming by to ask how everything tastes, The value? Well, it’s diner food. I thought the prices were fair, except for the orange juice. Do not order the orange juice. I’m not sure if I prefer it here over our old friend down the street, but I wouldn’t mind coming back.

WOW — was recently blown away by their all-meat omelette. I was hesitant at first because it also includes ground beef in addition so sausage bacon and ham. The omelette also had bell peppers and some other veggies in it. It was huge and very filling, and since i’m on this low carb kick they even had an option for tomato slices instead of potatoes — which other places charge for. This omelette was really good and bursting with flavor. I will definitely be getting it again! Service was top notch even on a Saturday morning. Had a great breakfast here.
