Never Felt Better was one of the places I went to that made my visit to Sacramento so memorable, and I’m sad to see that it looks like this shop will be closing(will have a website instead). When I visited the shop it looked like it was going through some transitions. The owner seemed to be able to read my mind and told me she was planning on having a juice bar inside the shop. I was excited for her and for this area. There were lots of Vegan options in Sacramento, but not shops like this directed towards cute quirky gifts and it was difficult for me to find juice bars besides ones in grocery stores. I bought two handmade bow, they were simply clipped onto cards for a children’s matching game. I loved the material of the bows and how playful it was to put them on cards. There are very few grocery items in this shop, I wouldn’t have thought of placing this place under the«Grocery» category. Overall, cute shop! The owner was very nice to me and genuinely cares about her shop, providing more for vegans and having some sort of community also. Best of luck!

My girlfriend really likes this store and I have to admit, it’s pretty cool. Stay away from that vegan hippie nacho cheese(Nacheez?) stuff though. She brought some home and I tried it. It’s nasty.

With Lovely Vegan Couple owners well service, my shopping experience was terrific. My teammate Sandera bought a vegan chocolate cookies. I had a sunflower ear rings. Their clothes and display items are very good price and idealiy for shopping. Green Menu Card holders will get 10% off.

Well, here we are in the new location of NFB and it fits the space well. I love the colors and the setup is adorable. I’m a fan of this sort of business. Unaware of the proprietors’ business knowledge/background, I’m assuming that this is one of those love-based ventures that you just want to see succeed. It really does feel good up in there. I enjoy coming in here. It is a nice walking distance from my office and I can pick up snacks that I might not find in other stores where I shop. Honestly, I’m more of a second-hand type of lady when it comes to accessories and even clothing(read: I’m cheap) so I’m mainly here for the food. The cold case is an excellent addition and, just in case I do want some unique gift or clothing item, the veritable explosion of handmade goodies makes me feel like I have year-round access to a really hip craft fair. The only complaint I have(and to be sure, I always have one) is that the owner(s) don’t make me feel the most welcomed. Not that they’re mean, but when you run this kind of business — the kind with the hand-written price tags and the cash register atop a card table in the corner — you almost have to be abnormally friendly. Not a deal breaker in any way. End of the story is, come to this place. They’ve got something for everyone — from decorative pillows to cookbooks to vegan food to clothing to vintage Pyrex(woot). I give them two thumbs up. But I probably will only go back often if I get a little more of a friendly nod when I walk in the door.

I’m beyond ecstatic that Never Felt Better has opened their doors again and this time at a bigger and better location, meaning that they can fit more wonderful veg-friendly goods into the one-stop awesome shop. It’s adorable! Well-stocked with handmade accessories, specialty vegan food, clothes, and cookbooks. It’s like if was a store. Jen, the owner is incredibly nice and helpful. Shawn, her husband, is very nice too. They’re friendly, their prices are reasonable, and everything I’ve bought there has been top notch. With the holidays coming up, small businesses like this need all the help they can get, so stop on by!

It is strange that I do not have a review yet for NFB! As I frequent this shop as much as 2x a week. NFB is a welcome addition to the vegan culture here in Sacramento. It was quick to become the cornerstone as THE place to be seen in the vegan scene in Sacramento. Not only does NFB offer grocery items that the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-Op not carry but, they have an extensive vegan accessory line, vegan pet foods, vegan cookbooks, and so much more. The atmosphere that Jen and Shawn create is so welcoming that NFB is overall a great place just to pop in and say hi on a daily basis. Sacramento is very lucky to have NFB. I am excited to see what they have in store for us at their new location.

Ok, I will use my work skills and use my copy and paste skills from my review of Sugar Plum Vegan, as I discovered both Never Felt Better and them at the same time and feel the same about both places — — here it goes — CTL-V Ok, let me first address the elephant in the room. I lived in Sacto for about 4 years. My regional office is located there. Let’s be honest, —Sacto has been known as a cow town, it is a place where if you your way of thinking is NOT to follow, that you want to leave. it is the considered second tier — –I live in Oakland now, and I will admit, as cool as Oakland can be, it is second tier to San Francisco in many many minds— Ok, I will now say it, Midtown Sacramento is as cool, or cooler than any neighborhood in San Francisco or Oakland. It just has a young creative vibe, it is walkable, ridable, free from urine and feces,(however some SF/Oakland hipsters view this as a positive) — –I love Midtown — there, I said it, —- At or near top of the best places in Midtown has to Never felt Better Vegan the store has just enough things to spend some quality time browsing, yet it far from cluttered – they have stuff for most anyone, your dog, yourself, good gift items, clothing, belts, wallets, t-shirts and even food— have met Shawn and his wife on my two times there, they were friendly, informative, and seemed to really appreciate my patronage. love the clunky outdated Refrig they use to keep the perishable foods cold!

I completely fell in love with this shop! Could it have been the perfect sunny day? Or maybe the amazing vegan bacon cheese burger downstairs at the Sugar Plum Bakery? Whatever it was, I just really enjoyed this shop loads! I got awesome soap which smelled amazing, and an adorable comfortable skirt, very cute earrings, a purse which is the perfect size to go out and not be weighed down by my regular industrial sized purse, a cute wallet… and last but certainly not least the most fabulous SPICYNACHEEZ(dairy-free nacho sauce) in the world!!! A bit of historical background,… I was bummed that certain stores have stopped stocking the Follow Your Heart Nacho Cheese… So there has been this absence in my life for a while now. A lingering, ongoing, growing craving for nacho cheese sauce… And alas, I walk into the Never Felt Better Vegan Shop and … well… the name says it all =) I had no idea what I was in for with the NACHEEZ sauce, so sadly, I only bought 2 jars! Which only lasted …18 hours? I’m in mourning now and desperate to get back to Sacramento. I will certainly be at your shop again!!! P. S. If anyone reads this post and happens to be going to Sacramento and back to SF soon(or anytime really), can you e-mail me???

The only place up north that I can find my ecoVegan soy products. Cute store and great staff. Always something new to discover.

Great prices on vegan products like Dandies, Teese and Mimicreme, and an awesome selection of zines and cookbooks! I love shopping at the co-op, but it’s nice to have something that’s walking distance and independently owned. I have lots of crafty friends so I don’t buy much handmade from stores, but there were some very cute new and upcycled wallets and housewares. We’re looking forward to going back!

NFB is an excellent, discerning vegan shop with a nice selection of specialty vegan food products(marshmallows, specialty cheeses, soy curls), t-shirts, and especially handcrafted goods made by vegan artisans(jewelry, wallets, scarves), all of which are reasonably priced. An excellent shopping experience, too, as Jen is attentive and helpful, but pleasantly laid back. A wonderful boutique shopping experience, which is saying a lot, as I typically don’t enjoy boutiquey shopping(yep, I’m a curmudgeon). NFB offers a great selection of vegan cookbooks, too!

It is easy to come in here and walk out with a few pennies in your change purse! Jen has hand picked some of the cutest, coolest and tastiest vegan treats. From Teese(vegan cheese) to handmade organic catnip mice! I love the selection of stuff that take up space in the store! Not only will you find stuff for yourself but finding gifts is easy in this little wonderland. You do not have to be vegan(though I am!) to enjoy the treasures found in NFB. From octopus screened pillows to tasty treats this is a store that needs more attention!

love this little gift shop! wandered here after lunch at Sugar Plum Vegan Café, conveniently located right downstairs :) In about 15 minutes, I dropped about $ 150. Not because things were expensive, but because I found so much cute stuff! jewelry, t-shirts, books, wallets, home décor, accessories– so many options, all vegan. many with vegan messages(postcards, buttons, shirts, calendars, etc), others just downright cute stuff that also happens to be handmade & vegan. a few non-perishable food items, like VEGANMARSHMALLOWS– yippee!!! I’ll be back every time I am in Sacto!

Extremely cool shop with a nice, friendly owner. My husband was stoked to find vegan marshmallows and mac & cheese. Tiffany is completely right about it being like Etsy, they’ve got everything from clothing to zines. Can’t wait to see how they grow. We’ll be back!

This shop is great. I am kicking myself for not bringing more cash so I could buy lots of stuff.(It’s cash only now, be prepared!) I came here a few days after it opened and bough a cute little wallet and some hazelnut spread. My partner became obsessed with the spread. He put it on practically everything. In less than a month we’re practically out. So we had to go back… to get more and some other stuff. I like that they have a pretty neat selection of food stuffs, cooking books, housewares, and clothing. The belts made out of bicycle tires are neat. I sort of wish I bought one, but I am in love with my owl pillow instead. And another coffee sleeve.(Reusable coffee sleeves are the new black, kids.) I really appreciate that everything they have(except for maybe the Peanut Chews, but you can’t knock Peanut Chews) is small and crafty. Yay for crafty crafts! I wish we had a store like this in the Bay Area. Makes me want to move back to the bomb Sac.

I am so happy NFB is now open. It’s great to be able to walk in and know everything here is vegan — I don’t have to read the labels! Also, it’s fun to keep coming back to find out what fun new things are on the shelves. The owner, Jen, is very welcoming. She has created a fun & friendly atmosphere to shop and learn about all things vegan. Never Felt Better is a wonderful shop for vegans and non-vegans alike!

Cute shop above Sugar Plum Vegan. It kind of reminds me of Etsy + specialty vegan food store. Now, I’m not a vegan by any stretch. I eat pretty much everything! However, I have nothing against vegans. In fact, some of my best friends are vegan.(*Dear Readers — I hope you catch the dry humor tone here*) Unique hand-sewn coasters, vegan-inspired onesies, lip balm, fantastic knit headphones(you know those crocheted clothes hangers? Like that, except covering headphones), carefully selected vegan-themed cookbooks, handknit catnip mice, vegan crackers, etc. etc. Great shop to find one-of-a-kind items for vegans or nons. When I dropped by, the shop had only been open for a few days. However I was told that eventually they will have credit card processing capabilities. I even dig the vegan silk-screened T-shirts. Heck, I would almost become vegan just to wear one. Perhaps eventually some omnivore-friendly T-shirts will become part of the clothing line too!

I’m so excited that places like this exist… and in my neighborhood! We went and grabbed a cupcake downstairs at Sugar Plum and discovered this little shop. I love all the handmade things that they have. I wanted to buy all the handmade wallets. Really beautiful! Will be back next time with cash in hand!

Sacramento is totally coming up in the vegan world. This store is located directly above Sugar Plum Vegan and is equally as awesome. We’re so lucky to have two amazing establishments(run by two amazing women) in the same building. Today was the grand opening of Never Felt Better Vegan Shop and although it was a soft opening, there was more than plenty to look at. Jen has a wide variety of cruelty free items ranging from snacks to clothing and hand made crafts to condoms. It is a one stop shop for those of us who would like to live a life free of animal exploitation and for those of you who are curious to know more about the vegan lifestyle. Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.
