We came to this restaurant to have dinner and drinks around 9:00pm on a Tuesday. My coworkers were meeting friends that they hadn’t seen in a while. We sat on the patio, which has a great ambiance. We ordered calamari for an appetizer and some wine. I am not a seafood eater but the calamari was very good. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. These are some of the best meatballs I have ever eaten. I don’t remember what the mix of meat was but it was delicious. After some amazing dessert and a few bottles of wine I realized we were the only ones left and it was close to midnight. I’m sure we were there well past closing time but the staff never made us feel rushed. The food and the service was top notch. Next time I’m in Sacramento I will definitely be visiting again.

1) Love love love the spinach ravioli! 2) The bread and in house Piatti dipping oil was amazing! 3) The budino was over the top deliciousness and satiation. 4) Our server was so friendly, well mannered, discerning, professional and amazing. I was surprised that he cleared our dishes away, I would have guessed that other wait staff would have taken care of that. With that being said it was on Mother’s day which was on a Sunday and the height of lunch. Maybe another star for him in that he pitched in to make it happen, that is clearing our dishes. I was really tempted to give this restaurant 5 stars but I did not because of the following reasons 1) Bread was promised but there seemed to be a long delay and since we did not order an appetizer there was what seemed like«forever» until it came out. 2) One server kept bringing us someone else’s food, which is unnerving, as we hope our food was not taken from table to table before it got to us. 3) MOM osa was terrible, guava and proseco. Will we be back? Definitely. :-) :-) :-)

Yuuuuuummmmmmmm! Came here for lunch with my «gay husband» I had this shrimp fettuccine dish… deeelliiisshh!!! The service was great, some of the customers in there seemed so snooty! They kept staring at me, I am like«have you never seen a NATURAL blonde before»(A black one) lol Anyway the dish I had was superb! the bread… they know they are wrong for that bread and the dipping… ugh! I couldn’t eat all of my portion(lunch) so I brought it home and ate the rest for dinner! YUUUUMMMMM I like where this place is, in the pavilions and you can look out at Fair Oaks Blvd. The servers were really nice. its just the patrons in there, they made it awkward. The business can’t help their patrons attitudes and what not, so I can’t take that out on them.

There were 6 of us that had lunch here today and it was very good. We had the fettuccine with prawns, hamburger with salad, margarita pizza, soup, and 2 different salads. To top it off we all shared the cheesecake, polenta chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream and the olive oil cake with strawberry sorbet. It was all very very good. I will definitely recommend this place to friends!

I came here for a dinner a couple weeks ago on suggestion from one in the group of 4. Didn’t have super high expectations based on a couple of previous lunch experiences. Man, am I sure glad I did! I must have ordered the wrong items on both of my prior lunch visits. All of our food was amazing. We started off with some beef carpaccio and a cheese plate that came with this incredible tomato preserves.(I’ll talk more about the tomato later) I had the pappardelle in Bolognese sauce, it could have used a hint more sauce, but nonetheless delicious. One of my friends ordered the gnocchi in a lamb ragù, I took a few bites of it and had a bit of food envy going on. Another friend ordered the New York steak which was a good steak, but the bone marrow-meyer lemon butter that was served on it really kicked that perfectly cooked beef up to the next level. The fourth ordered a seafood dish that isn’t coming to me right now because I didn’t get the chance to taste it. She was either really hungry or it was that good so her plate was finished quickly. We had some asparagus and creamy polenta to share at the table. I love asparagus, so other than over-cooking, there isn’t much that can go wrong there. Polenta on the other hand, I’m not so big on. I must have never had good polenta before this night because I ate so much of it that I was unable to finish my entrée. On to dessert. We had four desserts. First there was an olive oil cake with a lemon sorbet if I remember correctly. It was pretty good, but my heart belongs to another dessert which I’ll get to last. Second was some sort of pudding/custard like dish. Very tasty, but still I keep thinking about that special dish. Third, a salted caramel something which I didn’t dig into. And last, but not least… MASCARPONEGELATO! I couldn’t stop eating this stuff. By far the most simple of all the desserts we had and I can’t stop thinking about it. Now, for the service aspect. Flawless service was provided to us by a gentleman named Anton with assistance from bussers/expos/I’m not sure what else to call them. Management was actively involved, checking on tables(including ours) to make sure that everyone was having a positive experience. Even the executive chef stopped by our table as dessert was being served and asked how everything was. After hearing me rave about the tomato preserves, which I so elegantly described as ‘the best **** ever’, he asked me if I’d like a small jar to take home with the leftovers! How could I say no to that? Thank you for the experience, Piatti. I look forward to my next visit.

Oh my, what a nice and chill place to hang with friends after work. The case of Mondays is the best, Happy Hour all day and not too crowded. I really like how this restaurant have indoor and outdoor seating’s. It was a nice day out but kinda hot, so my friend and I stayed indoors. She ordered a margherita pizza with vodka drink, as I ordered a Peperoni Pizza and a beer. I totally forgot the name of this beer. Our happy hour dinner was Awesome!!! Will come here again!!!

Came in right before closing and got a couple of amazing Moscow mules. They make the best ones I’ve ever had around Sacramento. My friend got gin martinis and she loved them.

Piatti’s is one of those wonderful dinning rooms with a small local feel. We were seated almost immediately even though we arrived a tad early. The energy in the restaurant was very high. Our meals were well prepared: Risotto and Margherita pizza. The risotta was prepared beautifully, cooked just right, still whole and not mushy like oatmeal and it tasted wonderful. The pizza was was cheesy and had a fresh basil sprinkled on top of the cheese and tomato. If you have a difficult time hearing you might be challenged. For some reason, we both thought the noise level was a bit higher than we remembered, making it difficult to hear the Piatti play list that is usually lilting in the background. Never mind, that did not distract from the local charm and a nice evening.

We wanted to try Piatti’s «Happy Hour» so went in on a Monday afternoon. Stayed for well over an hour and yes, we left Happy. For starters, the place is spacious, handsomely designed, with lots of natural light. The wait staff courteous and attentive. As to the Happy Hour menu, I had been a bit dubious about the offerings I’d studied online. I was assuming that for the tiny price of $ 5 each, they would properly be appetizer-sized. I WASWRONG! Each item we tried was less like a snack than a «small plate» meal. The fritto misto was a nice big mound of crisp goodness, and the batterfried seafood was accompanied with fried lemon slices, interesting. The«Little Caesar» salad was about two side salads’ worth, also crisp and fresh. I dared to order the meatball sliders, even though another Unilocaler had compared them unfavorable to sawdust– there were two, each with a slab of mozzarella and a stretch-your-jaws-around meatball that was flavorful and juicy. In fact, my ONLY Piatti-related regret is that I went in wearing a white sweater and was unable to avoid getting that speck of flying meatball juice on it. I did mention juicy, didn’t I? The chardonnay I ordered– chardonnay being a basic requirement for my own personal Happy Hour– was tasty and generously poured. Happy Hour. Woohoo!

I’m only giving one star because I can’t give zero. We came here for lunch and the restaurant was maybe half full. I added chicken to a salad and the Brussel sprouts they make. The Brussel sprouts arrived raw on my salad. Who eats raw Brussel sprouts and why would I order that if I was asking for Your Brussel sprouts you are known for? It also came without chicken and when pointed out we waited almost 30 minutes for her to come back with a plate of chicken and no help on our raw brussel sprouts. There was no offer to remove the mistake from our meal after being their an hour and 15 minutes. I will never come back here.

I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for a while now and it did not dissapoint. A little hit and miss when it comes to appetizers. One thing that you can’t go wrong with is the meatball appetizer, it’s scrumptious. Skip the carpaccio, it was bland and soggy. Margherita pizza was just okay. Definitely try the ceaser salad, it’s fresh and crispy. Dessert is a must, especially the bread pudding, which comes with espresso! The service was exceptional, extremely attentive and accommodating servers.

Four stars for a very solid, great experience. If possible, I would give the staff five stars, their house wines four and a half and food four. All told, great experience. We went for a holiday party for work on a weekend night and took over their banquet room. The staff were very friendly, chatty and willing to provide for those at the party. Our holiday party didn’t provide for unlimited food and wine, which is fine, and the staff professionally handled it when we asked for this or that. The setting/restaurant itself is very nice. Clean, fun and inviting. In short, it’s bit of a drive from my home but I’d definitely look forward to going back if I was in the neighborhood. Thanks!

My wife and I are creatures of habit. Thus it was interesting when she suggested Piatti’s for lunch on a Saturday. It might have been the fact that we were unencumbered with our daughter hanging out at nana’s house, but we really enjoyed ourselves. We took a seat at the bar and were surrounded by some interesting people. Interesting people is a nice way of saying oddballs. It was ok because the energy level was upbeat and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice. Clientele mostly consists of blue-haired regulars, but the service from the bartender was excellent. The wine list is solid, and if it includes Kendall Jackson and Rombauer Chard, gets an A+ from the wife. The prices are about what you would expect. My wife and I split the chicken sandwich with a side of greens and French fries. The fries and greens were so-so. Nothing bad, but nothing too great about them either. My wife claims her half of the sandwich contained a bunch of fat, but my half was pretty tasty. Most chicken sandwiches are dry which is why I rarely order them. I thought the food was B level for sure. Definitely want to come back for lunch again. I have always loved Pavilions, and am bummed it doesn’t have more restaurants.

What can I say? This well-known national Italian restaurant has it all delivering the best incredible Italian dishes from pizzas, pastas, appetizers, and the most, incredible drinks. «Piatti» is the name. As I was heading to that restaurant on October 1st, 2015, I sat on the bartender side for a quick dining rest during the dinner peek hours. The atmosphere is quite relaxing and comfortable inside including their outdoor patio too. The concept is quite good showing a great view of Fair Oaks Blvd as well as their kitchen to show the chefs are cooking the customer’s entrees and pizzas. The employees from hosts, bartenders, chefs, and servers have done a fantastic job for making the customers very friendly. No cons at all! For the entrée, I ordered a sausage and peppers(sliced jalapeño and green chilies) pizza. As I take a bite of one slice of pizza, it tasted very good! The pizza baked well as I looked it. The sausage, mozzarella cheese, and peppers worked that pizza a huge top notch! Not a bad complete dinner meal! The parking can be confusing here which it’s located at the Pavilions strip mall. Try to park closer to the restaurant near Talbots, so you can walk there easier. Otherwise, you can ride a bike, walk, or use public transportation to go to that destination in no time. In the end, Piatti is the finest, and remarkable national Italian restaurant that I’ve ever visited and dined there for the first time. Perfect for friends/family gatherings, happy hour pleasures, and business dining meetings. A well, worthy visit!

What? Two lunches at Piatti’s in one week! Yes… I think Piatti’s is back!!! Met long-time BF in her«neck of the woods»! She had chosen Piatti’s for lunch and since it was her«pick» I reluctantly agreed. Only because Piatti’s had not been on my radar for years for a place I’d go for good food(sorry, Piatti’s!). Well things have changed at Piatti’s. Two excellent lunches with superb service both times. The thing that never changes at Piatti’s is the beauty of the restaurant. It is set in an older but quaint shopping area(Pavilions) with an open, high ceiling, and lots of glass, rooms. Inside seating(nice bar area too), seating in a glass room looking out at the patio and outside seating in the patio! What’s not to like about having three different choices to sit while one dines? There is also a small, intimate, dining area for having a private gathering(i.e., wedding shower, baby shower, birthday dinner) with family/friends. I have actually attended two separate functions in that room many years ago. One in the day time for a friend’s baby shower and one at night for a friend’s birthday party. Very nice atmosphere for both! Lunch #1 Before meeting BF, I perused the, what else… latest Unilocal reviews about the food at Piatti’s and had decided I wanted the caprese salad with grilled prawns(thank you, fellow Unilocaler)! It was one of those very hot days and this sounded perfect. And I was surprised by all the high ratings given to Piatti’s by the most current Unilocal reviewers. Long story short… my salad/prawns were perfect! And, the warm, «baguette» sliced bread, was wonderful. Had one piece but could have eaten the whole basket. That coupled with a nice sauvignon blanc… heaven! Service: Excellent! Room for dessert… hardly…next time! Lunch #2(within a week of Lunch #1) Could hardly wait to get back. New Gal Pal and I made the trek from Davis on an even hotter day to the Pavilions. Again as with Lunch #1…greeted at the door by a sweet young woman asking us where we would like to sit(that’s always nice if possible). We chose a table by the window. As with Lunch #1, many people having lunch(inside and out). This gives a place such a nice vibe to have diners of all sorts(business people, ladies(of different ages) out for lunch, a couple of nice looking retired gents in their casual clothes). Once at our table, greeted instantly by «Jessica»(I hope I have that name right because she was so sweet.). Not knowing what we wanted to drink or eat, we asked her to come back(it was busy and did not want to keep her from other diners). About 5 minutes later, another waitperson asked us what we might want to drink. Wow… there’s that great service again. We were hemming and hawing(remember that phrase?) when she offered us a flight of three«tastes» because we could not decide on the exact sauvignon blanc we wanted. What??? Who does that??? Well come to find out, «Emily» does that. We thought she was the«water person, wait person»…no she was the Bartender!!! She brought them back then left us to taste them all. We had such fun with the tastes and Emily. And, we ended up selecting her favorite wine which she had told us about up front(Honig…Yum) thru the«blind» tasting. She just made our day. What a great ambassador for Piatti’s! I will go back just to see her! We both chose different entrée’s which were, again like Lunch #1…excellent. Jessica continued to provide the best service and we left so very satisfied and happy! Isn’t that what it’s all about??? Oh… need to get that dessert next time:-). Well, I’m back in love with Piatti’s and you should give it a try too! I can hardly wait to go back for dinner… this time with my Hubby! Thanks, Emily and Jessica, for the outstanding service.

The family and I are big Sac Republic fans and we are always looking for a great place to get in grab a quicker dinner and catch our game. This place is perfect… they have a great open concept and an awesome outside patio area which is our favorite. Personally for myself I really like their wood fired pizzas… really reminds me of Italy but with some of the American toppings. They also have a really nice draft beer selection and wine as well. What is also nice is that they change up their menu seasonally which gives you always a fresh choice. This time around I tried their peach and arugula pizza which was absolutely delicious. It was great because all the girls decided on one of the new dishes and it was more of a buffet with everyone sharing it was great… My youngest ordered their new ravioli dish and it was probably one of the best of all the dishes. Also my wife ordered the pork and ricotta cheese spaghetti and the side of polenta and let’s just say dipping those meatballs and polenta will just have to be something you try for yourself. All around great experience and always love the very friendly attentive staff. Perfect stop

When you step into Piatti’s, it truly is welcoming and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. The staff were friendly and very helpful in food choices. I really liked the amount of outdoor eating space along with the«comfy couch» seating that made it seem more casual fun. So definitely a great place if you are wanting to grab a drink or two with a friend or date night. As far as the food goes, all tasted well and greatly appreciate the support of local farms. I order the small portion and felt it was just right. However, my friend order the larger portion and to tell you the truth, didn’t seem any different. My pork and ricotta meatball spaghetti was good. Nothing too fancy but the small portion for someone like me was just right. I would say a bit pricey for the size. The ginger julep was also a nice refreshing, non-alcoholic beverage. To me, it tasted like a mint julep without the alcohol… I think I was looking for more ginger flavor. The best part about the meal was the olive cake! When you read it… it is questionable… but let me tell you! It’s simple and light and hits just the right spot! There is a hint of the olive oil but it just blends in very well. I would love to come back and try the other dishes!

Piatti Ristorante is doing a lot of things right. The interior is beautiful and sets the vibe that is both classy and comfy. It has the look and feel a expensive restaurant without the expensive prices. The same way a score for a movie can set the mood for the entire film, the music at Piatti’s set the mood for the meal. It was a soft, ambient tone that gently rings in your ear, like subliminal messages telling you to enjoy your meal. Of course the look and the sound is only 2⁄4 of what makes Piattis awesome. No great restaurant would be truly great unless the food was on the same level or higher than everything else. A basket of bread was dropped off at the table. Because this is an Italian Ristorante instead of butter we get a small plate with a small metal cup that when lifted pools out the hidden balsamic vinaigrette. The sprinkle of herbs takes the mix a step above normal the normal balsamic vinaigrette. The bread was fresh and hot. Let me take a minute to stop salivating over the memories of bread and let’s move on. In a quest to eat a little bit healthier, I ordered a small Caeser salad. No explosive comments about it because in all actuality it is just a Caeser salad. But it is one of the better ones I’ve eaten. The dressing was good and enough to evenly coat everything without drowning it. I especially loved the big pieces of shaved fresh Parmesan. I was able to also sample the Burrata appetizer. It consisted of Burrata cheese, with slices of grilled white peach and prosciutto on toasted/grilled bread. The cheese was creamy and easily spreadable over the grilled bread. Since it’s very similar to goat cheese I became an instant fan. The prosciutto and the grilled peach were definitely my favorite parts of the app. The peach brought an amazing sweetness to a very savory dish, and the prosciutto added much of that savory element. The main attraction tonight was the Cast Iron Salmon. The waitress informed me that the chef likes to cook the salmon medium rare. A nice thick salmon filet with crispy skin and moist insides. It was cooked as described and tasted phenomenal. The dish also featured a white polenta cake that was easily my favorite part of the dish(Sorry Mr. Salmon) and a spring vegetable salad. The salad brought a light and fresh element to the meal. Not to mention it was also quite tasty. A ring of fava and pea shoot salsa verde circled everything. It tasted good; I just wish I had more of it. I was able to try the Spaghetti with Pork and Ricotta meatballs and I’m just going to say it. It was very reminiscent of Spaghetti O’s with meatballs to me. I was really unimpressed and disappointed since it was one of the best sounding items on the menu. The service was both OK and great. Our main server knew the menu and the specials, but she was very monotone when speaking to us. It kind of took away some of our excitement about the place. There was another waiter who helped out who was much livelier and seemed happy to be there. He brought a great vibe with him that was easily spread around. Aside from the one dish, the one server, and the fact that their website needs a major update I had a fantastic time eating at Piatti’s.
