Precision Refinishing

I Hired Precision refinishing to refinish a tub in a property I had just purchased. They came on time, did the refinishing job in about 2.5 hours. They taped everything up and it seemed like a clean job. Left me with instructions on how to clean the tub. Everything seemed fine, I glanced at the tub and it looked fine. Didn’t stay in the bathroom for too long as the smell from the chemicals used was a bit strong.
A few days later after I went back and noticed some issues. There was an elevated area on the border of the tub that had not been sanded down properly. Also at the bottom of the back of the tub it looked like the liquid porcelain had «pooled» from the edges, therefore creating an elevated area.
Called them, customer service was good. They came back for the 2^nd time to touch up those areas. The tech told me the pooling probably occurred due to the temperature in the home being too cold. They never told me the first time I should keep the temperature at a certain level.
They took another 1 – 2 hours. I kept the heater on and the temperature up as they told me for a few hours as they requested. I looked at the tub and those problem areas looked better but were visibly more shiny than the rest of the tub. I assumed it was due to the freshly applied material and that it would go away after drying.
This did not happen after a week’s time still looked the same.
Called them again, they said they’d come back and they had a new product that would allow for the material to properly blend in.
They came back a 3^rd time. Again did the job, left me with a cup of a liquid chemical to polish the tub after drying. I did what they asked me to, but the problem is still there. Nothing blended together, those 2 spots are still visibly more shiny than the rest.
They came out 3 times. Each time they came out it was an inconvenience for me to meet them as I don’t live in this house and had to drive there, had to take time from work etc.
I contacted them again around end of December but have received no reply.
At this point I’ve rented out the place and it would be very inconvenient for them to come back out to fix it, plus I don’t trust that they’ll be able to take care of the problem
The tub looks better than it did before the job, however it is far from the quality I’d expect from a company with the word «precision» in their name.
If I knew it would look this way after the touch ups I would have rather kept it with the previous imperfections from the first day that they came out as it looked more uniform then.

Had 3 bathroom sinks refinished ⁴⁄₂₀₁₄. They looked great when the work was complete. One of the 3 stills looks great. One, in the least use bath, and another had a flaw within a month. Called John told him no rush just stop by when he has a team in the area. He eventually got someone out. Within a couple months same 2 the finish was bubbling and eventually cracked. I contacted John prior to my warranty expiration and never heard back.
They still look better than they were but I will be looking for someone else to see if they can be refinished again. Makes me sad really wanted to write a good review. The guys that came out were nice and I thought they did good work but my warranty wasn’t honored.

Fantastic job! Super professional from beginning to end. John’s team even showed up an hour earlier than quoted. They worked very cleanly. Job was done in no time. HIGHLY recommend.

Precision Refinishing deserves more than 5 stars! The two gentlemen (forgot to ask their names) who worked on our two shower/​bathtub combo did a fantastic job. Ours is an old house that came with disgustingly dirty bathtubs. Even ‘bleach’ couldn’t fix the problem. I’m so glad to have contacted Precision Refinishing — shower and bathtub looks BRAND NEW now!
I wouldn’t work with anyone but Precision Refinishing. The workmen arrived on time, were professional and personable. Made me feel comfortable (I am not the kind to allow just anyone in my house — paranoia!)
Honest too. Upon cleaning up, I was told the shower/​bathtub didn’t require refinishing since neither were damaged. As a matter of fact, both were in perfect condition, just dirty due to years and years of soap scum buildup. Now that’s integrity. Any other business/​employee could’ve lied, could’ve easily made more money, selling services I didn’t necessarily require. But these guys, they care about their customers, providing sincere advice, never overselling.
And did I mention they are affordable? Yep, they are. Very reasonable fees. Thank you, Precision Refinishing! You’ve earned a loyal customer in me!

We just had our bathtub refinished and it looks amazing! These guys were fast, professional and very reasonably priced. Would use them again in a heartbeat… highly recommend!
