Came here not by choice and not to happy bout it, nothing to great i mean the menu clearly advertises«home made tortillas» which is not true only on the weekends i went last Wednesday but the menu does not say only on weekends. That was a let down, the cashier was kinda rude even tho i spoke spanish to her. The place was kinda dark the only source of air conditioning was a fan that was blowing the hot air from one side of the room to the other. I got a tongue burrito, nothing special im not the one to ever order a chicken or carne asada burrito just not my style. But over all it was a good day cuz i didnt get sick from eating there but i wont go back again. As a matter a fact my first choice was pollo asado plate(bbq chicken) but they were out. Every ones taste buds are different ya’ll might like it tho.

This restaurant has been closed for a year, its now across the street but now its all restaurant. No mini mart just restaurant. The food is excellent and the place looks great. They also have karaōke nights on Saturday starting at 9 pm. The place is very welvoming. Try it out!!!

San Juan is across the street from my work and thank god it is, because recently it eased a severely bad day. I was having a high stress day and hadn’t eaten for hours, and my boss suggested to walk over to San Juan(and by «suggested», I mean he shoved me out the door and said«Go eat something!»). He discovered San Juan a few months and got addicted to their burritos. So I walked over and just entering the restaurant put me more at ease. It was cool and a little dark inside(which made for a nice respite to the blazing sun and wind outside) and my order for a super torta was taken promptly by the friendly counter lady. I enjoyed a cold Corona while waiting for my food, which arrived quickly and was a sight for sore eyes. This gorgeous torta was as big and round as my face. The bun must’ve been 6 or 7 inches wide. Depending on how big your stomach is, San Juan’s entrees may last you for a couple meals. This torta was PACKED with chorizo, cheese, avocado, lettuce, onion. tomato and sauce… it was serving up ‘if it doesn’t get all over the place, it doesn’t belong in your face’ REALNESS. Eating it was just messy, delicious bliss. One huge torta and a beer ran me about $ 12, which isn’t bad for a very filling meal. Thanks for being there in my hour of need, San Juan, and coaxing me off the ledge with a big sloppy sammich!

i finally tried this place and i am greatly disappointed! i ordered 2 carnitas tacos, i think the guy was annoyed because i couldn’t speak Spanish… which was fine… the cashier acted like she did not want to be there, again fine… i just want the food to be great… i got my food to go, excited– i took a peak while i was in line to get gas at costco… and so the madness begins! 1. the tortilla looked messed up and i thought hmm. maybe its homemade. i took a bite and it was STALE! 2. the carnitas were okay and when added… 3. the chile verde sauce on it. the sauce was SPOILED, tasted horrible! all in all for $ 1.50 it is so not worth it! yah $ 1.50 is cheap but theres plenty more TEQUERIA’s out here… $ 1.75 I WOULDDRIVETOARDENANDEATCHANDO’S TACOSINSTEAD! i wanted to love this place :/ i guess order the chicken and comment if you like it…

I’ve also eaten at the various Mexican restaurants that inhabited this location. Some have been good, some not so. I really like this place. I’ve only eaten the carnitas — so good that I don’t even want to try anything else. However, the bbq that is always going smells delicious — so i’m sure the chicken is fantastic. I’ve had the same problem with the language, but I still go — can’t get enough of the carnitas!

I’ve eaten at this location several times in the past when it was a regular Mexican restaurant. It has closed and changed hands at least 3 times that I’m aware of. Recently, it is once again under new ownership. I decided to meet friends here for lunch expecting it to be in a restaurant style setting. To my surprise, it was turned into a little mini market. Food is still being served, but now I think it was meant to go, since everything is served in to go containers. There are a few tables & chairs if you want to eat there, but you are surrounded by shelves of groceries. Barbecued chicken appeared to be their specialty. And they had a limited menu that mostly featured chicken. My friends ordered dinners that included chicken, their own version of beans, tortillas, and macaroni salad. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I just wanted a bean burrito. The order taker was having a hard time understanding that I didn’t want any meat in my burrito. He almost looked puzzled that I would order such a thing. Finally it got prepared with a delicious combination of beans, rice, salsa and some other unidentifiable ingredients. I think I tasted a few bits of pork in there, but that was OK. It was a tasty burrito anyway! I was disappointed that it was no longer a restaurant. But it was unanimous! We loved the food!

The first time I went to San Juan Carneceria, I had a hard time ordering because no one seemed to speak English. I must have been passed between six people but no one could understand me. Maybe I do not pronounce burrito correctly??? I ordered a pork burrito, it was pretty tasty, but it was so hard to communicate that I hesitated going back. The next time, which was several months later, I ordered the same thing with the same result. Only this time they found someone that spoke broken English. While there, I noticed the barbecued chicken and made a note that I would have to come back and try it. Since then I have driven by there many times and smelled the enticing aroma of chicken cooking on the barbecue and told myself that I needed to go back. Yesterday I met some friends there for lunch and finally tried the barbecued chicken. It was as delicious as it smells, I would highly recommend it. It comes with plenty of corn tortillas, macaroni salad, and some pretty damn good beans. It is definitely worth checking out. Make sure whatever you order has barbecued chicken in it, because that is their specialty. Yes, they now have people that speak english. The Wizard says; check it out.

This place has been many different Mexican joints over the years, and the latest is a place that speciallzes in grilled chicken in the style of Sinaloa. A big cloud of smoke caught my eye on my way to Costco. It was an outdoor grill covered in split chickens. I went inside and at first was a little confused about the procedure. They have indoor seating in two places, so I just asked the cute gal behind the cash register and she said she could take my order. I wanted to try the chicken, but didn’t want to buy a whole or half, so I ordered a couple of chicken tacos. They were really good and were made with hand made tortillas! So I ordered a half chicken to go. I got the delicious grilled chicken along with a quart of pretty good Charros, or cowboy style beans, a container of so-so«Spanish» rice and a container of some interesting salsa that seemed to be blended tomatoes and onions. The order includes regular tortillas, but I paid a little extra and got a half dozen of the hand-made ones. Overall a pretty good deal for about 10 bucks – enough to make about a dozen chicken tacos at home. I’ll be stopping back in next time I run out of Tequila and toilet paper and have to make another Costco run! The chicken is way tastier than those rotisserie chickens at Costco, too. They’ve also got a cool little Mariscos bar there that I’ll have to try.
