UYE “No April Foolin” at RETURN of Pre flite!

Thank you again to Michelangelo for hosting another amazing UYE! Another UYE you say? Has there been more than one? Actually I’m not sure at all because I can’t remember but I figured over the years he’s hosted at least one other event that I have attended. I think the odds here are in my favor.
I really enjoyed my first time here at the Pre Flite Lounge and was happy I got to spend some time with some amazing Unilocalers! Michelangelo of course, but I also got to meet Summer and Chris for the first time and hang with oldies (but goodies!) David, Douglas, Katie, Dominique among others AND a few of Michelangelo’s coworkers stopped by as well.
Michelangelo brought some tasty pizza for everyone to share and we even got to meet and hangout with the owner Jason! I will definitely be back to Pre Flite Lounge when I find myself in the area again because of the cheap drinks and great service.

Big thanks to mega-​Yelper Michelangelo for throwing a UYE shindig in my honor– and at my favorite bar, Pre Flite Lounge, no less! I need no particular reason to go there but I never mind someone creating a reason!
PFL provided the chillax venue, the awesome staff, the quick service, and the cheap strong drinks (a shot, a tallboy and 3 mixed drinks for about $ 20, you cannot top that!). Unilocal/​Michelangelo provided the pizza, the awesome company, the trivia and the Unilocaltastic prizes. I won myself a pair of Unilocal sunglasses, score! …it was because I knew the answer to that question was «Fabio», self-​shame.
Nothing like a good dive and a UYE to help drag yourself over the hump of a long week! :)

This was a fun night to pay tribute to an outstanding popular watering hole in Sacramento: Pre Flite Lounge!
THE SETUP
There was a major hiccup in the efficiently run 40-​year old business. One that you can not blame on the business itself. And that is the «rude-​awakening» of the equitable principle of «eminent domain» that a governing jurisdiction can *inflict* upon a business owner whether they like it or now.
And in this instance, the City of Sacramento said, «Hey. We’re gonna build an Arena on the property where you are sited. So shoo! Off you go!» And off they did. And it would be a lie if many of us didn’t share our apprehension about missing this stalwart lil bar that has been a pleasant home on many happy hours, not the least of which was the outstanding staff who always made it fun to come by and visit.
VICTORY! (OF SORTS!)
Well, yada yada yada — and nearly a year later — Pre Flite has re-​emerged, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, and found it’s NEW home at 1011 10^th Street, right near the intersection of 10^th & K, but just the alley north, and at the entrance on the alley to be specific.
In fact, given the lowered elevation (below street level) where the alley-​entrance is for Pre Flite, it really has retained that «subterranean» flair that existed at the old location below the 6^th & L Street Shops at the former Downtown Plaza.

Some of the best prices you will find anywhere! My large standard Rum & Coke was a cool $ 4. My draft Olympia pint was $ 2.50. Daddy be happy.
Unilocal EVENT!
So it was fun to host an Unofficial Unilocal Event (UYE) in tribute to the new Pre Flite Lounge. AND to dedicate it to my sweet friend and über-​Yelper Summer M., whom as long as I can remember, has been a Number #1 Fan of Pre Flite, both old and new.
