Pizza is consistently delicious. Love love their salads. And good cold beer. What more could u ask for!

Pretty decent service for how busy they get. I just had water to drink. I ate the pesto cheesy bread and a mini pizza with artichokes and black olives. I am a fairly picky eater, so I ordered ahead of my party. There were 10 of us, and the others shared 2 pizzas, one cheese for the kids and on supreme type for the adults. My order was pretty affordable, around 11+/-, and I think their two large(x-lg?) were just under 40. Buon appetito!

We waited over an hour and half for delivery, when the pizza finally showed up it was not the correct order. When I called they offered a $ 4 off coupon. I’ll go to Mountain Mike’s on Fulton from now on where I know I’ll get a good pizza and better customer service.

Over priced and not very good! I gave it another chance last night and I didn’t even save the leftovers. The crust is very dense and the sauce had an off taste. Won’t be back.

Friendly owners and great pizza. Inside is a bit small so if too busy order to go. Only complaint would be a little pricey and coupons are rare.

Good people, good pizza, only reason it isn’t 5 stars is that the location is pretty hard to find parking, and inside seating is limited.

After reading the reviews I was torn and almost didnt go because the reviews are bipolar: very good and very bad. Went and tried it anyway. Well to me this place is really tasty. I like their crust, it is kind of thick and crusty and crunchy almost like what Pizza Hit was like 20 years ago. The toppings are okay although not spectacular. The prices are very reasonable about $ 15-$ 25 and the staff is very friendly. The décor is kind of dated but in keeping with the whole solid neighborhood pizzeria motif. All in all a very solid pizza place, give them a try. Wish we lived in the delivery area!

Their TJ garlic pizza is awesome! That is if you like white sauce pizza. Prices are very reasonable and they have a great service crew and atmosphere. Great place and will always go there for my pizza.

We live right down the street and like supporting a local business! Pizza is usually pretty good, although nothing spectacular. The last pizza we ordered seemed undercooked — the crust seemed pale and doughy. They usually take a little longer than the quoted wait time. The topping choices are pretty generic and have been the same for years. I wish they would offer some new options to spice things up. We’ve tried the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and again, nothing spectacular but pretty good. My husband really likes their calzones. Wings aren’t very good — taste like they could just be frozen from Costco, heated up(i.e. — not crispy whatsoever). Loaded potato skins are tasty, but have pizza sauce on them, so don’t taste like you’d expect.

Very good pizza. Ambiance is a bit old pizza parlor style but fine for family and group. Positive of eating in is the good beer prices and rubicon’s monkey knife fight on tap. We usually pick up tho. Staff very pleasant. Combo has high quality toppings. Evelyn’s delight has pesto sauce and feta and is my fav.

Wenelli’s is an all time favorite pizza place. It is the perfect neighborhood pizza joint. I selfishly hope that it never gets too popular. The pizza is awesome and the small bar gives the place a great local feel. I used to live within walking distance but will always come back no matter how far the drive.

Always delicious. Garlic of the gods is my favorite for sure. They always make delicious food but it can take a while. Food service can definitely be slow however they are extremely nice.

Great local family owned pizza joint. Been here quite a few times and pizza is awesome! Owner and staff are always super friendly as well. I usually go with the combination pizza and it never fails!

Wow, I’ve had Wenelli’s pizza on another occasion and thought it was great. Today we ordered from them again in the later afternoon around 3:30ish. We ordered a large pizza and garlic bread. Both were terrible. The garlic bread was so tiny! It was bland, hard and half the bread wasn’t even covered with cheese or garlic butter. Would never ever get the garlic bread again, even if they fixed it. The value just wasn’t there. As far as the pizza goes, again, it was terrible. Very, very bland and the crust testing old. It definitely was not worth $ 22. I live in Carmichael, and drove all the way there for what I thought was going to be good pizza. Next time I will just order from anyone, it doesn’t matter who, the pizza will definitely be better than what we had today.

The menu looks good, I like their combinations, but Wenellis isn’t really good at handling large groups. I could tell that they were overwhelmed by my brother’s golf party. I ordered my pizza to go and asked for water and the guy forgot, I had to go back up to ask again. And while the pizza is delicious, the crust gets hard pretty quickly which I didn’t like.

My children and I enjoy the delicious pizza and friendly service. We appreciate the family-friendly environment. Great crust, any combination of toppings you desire.

I love this place because it is nostalgic for me. I used to come here in my community college days to drink beer and eat pizza. The décor looks like it hasn’t been updated since the late 70s early 80s and I love it. Its hit or miss with the wait time since last time we went we had to wait an hour for our food even though we got there right when they opened. Small place, good pizza.

This was my first time here. I wanted to try this place because of the good rating here on Unilocal. Pizza: There wasn’t enough sauce IMO and it tasted bland. Garlic cheese bread: DRENCHED in butter, but seasoned nicely. Potato skins: They were served to me way over cooked, to the point of being burnt in some spots. I was expecting traditional skins; with bacon, cheese, sour cream, and green onions; but these had pizza sauce, cheese, and bacon instead. That was a disappointment and it’s too bad this isn’t mentioned on their website’s menu. The young man who rang me up was friendly but I noticed a woman who was making pizzas complaining about something or other while I was there. All in all, I would say this place is just«okay». Not sure if I’ll return.

This is a solid local pizza joint. Very good pies made from scratch, sans formula; a good calzone; something called a pizza sandwich that, not surprisingly, is as good as the pizza; and frosty beers on-tap. What more could you want? Be advised this is a very small shop — we went on a weekday evening with a party of about 30 and took most of the seating.

Tried medium veg(mushrooms, artichokes, bell pepper) on 12/27/13…less salt, has great ingredients. Crust bit nondescript. Like that it’s less salty, but also prefer either thin crust, or pan/Sicilian style. Slightly slow for the takeaway. Fave thing: $ 17 price tag, and family history here. Been at this spot for decades, taking over former Mountain Mike’s. Enjoy the old school Pizza n Pipes-like interior. Stay for another decade yet — -please.
