Outback Steakhouse

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! They USED to care about their customers. This place has been going down hill really fast in recent years. I don’t know what happened?! The servers and managers have TERRIBLE ATTITUDES. We avoid this place whenever possible. Basically any other steakhouse is preferred over Outback at this point.

so ok we went here for lunch and was hoping the service would have been better then the last time, when I talked to the owner. it wasn’t. Mary was rude, kept interrupting us when we were ordering. slow. Hell not even a smile. why are the good ones working for dinner and the slow, rude ones are on lunch???

Had dinner with my family tonight and couldn’t believe that we got in without waiting an hour! It was amazing, this place is ALWAYS packed because it is filled with such great staff and quality food. The lobster tails were AMAZING per usual. We love Outback and its consistency. THANK YOU, AGAIN!!! Will be back.
I think customers tend to forget that waiters and waitresses are SERVERS not SERVANTS nor ENTERTAINERS. There are a lot of things that go in restaurants that your SERVER has absolutely no control over, (Wow, shocker, huh). With that being said, if you do not SPEAK UP and let your server know your food seems to be tasting a bit off or speak up about anything to make your experience better, your server will not know. Simply, because they are not mind readers. Being that I was server for nearly 15 years and own my own restaurant, I can assure you that you must not have even tried to resolve an issue (if there was an actual issue, Christie) with a manager because she definitely would have handled your «issue». But what I do know about you Christie, is that you like to sit on Unilocal and complain about any and every little thing. Sure looks to me that there truly aren’t any issues and you’re too embarrassed to confront management, so you sit behind a computer screen and bash restaurants. To me, it sounds like you were the rude one. Change your attitude and maybe you’ll get a smile next time :)

Great service and friendly staff! Restuarant was very clean and has a great ambiance. Have eaten steak at most places in town and this is by far the best steak in Saginaw!!! I always use the website to check if they are on a wait, if they are you can add your name to the list ahead to time to shorten you wait time once you get there.

Great service on a busy Saturday night. The slow roasted sirloin was also very good, I would recommend the cabernet sauce if you like a sauce. Leah is a fantastic server.

When we entered at about 12:45pm, there were two other parties of two in front of us and no hostess in site. When the hostess did return to the desk after a few minutes, a waitress just starting her shift walked up and they proceeded to discuss assignments for the day before even acknowledging any of us. My mother asked the waitress what came with the prime rib dip sandwich. She said she was not sure, and though it came with two sides. I told her that it came with fries. We ordered two cups of soup to start, and a prime rib dip sandwich to share. After about 10 minutes and no sign of the waitress, I asked the hostess to please ask our waitress to serve the soup first. Another 10 minutes later, she brought the soup. It was luke warm, not hot. Then another 20 minutes later, she brought the sandwich. She did not bring or offer another plate for us to share. She just set it in the middle of the table. Most of the prime rib in the sandwich was tough — big pieces of gristle. We showed the waitress. She apologized, but that was it. She was very nice, but just didn’t know how to provide good service.
I can’t remember ever having a terrible meal at a restaurant, and this was absolutely terrible all the way around.

I love Outback but when you order the prime rib medium rare and all they can offer is medium to well, it should be half price!
Won’t go back unless Outback makes this right!

This was only my second visit to this restaurant and my husband and I would not have returned after the first but we had a gift card with a big balance on it. The last first was last summer and this was not that much better.
After the last time, we learned our lesson about NOT ordering an appetizer. They aren’t a good enough quality to warrant the price. We did get salads and they were delivered on plates that had been in the freezer — I didn’t care for that. Another thing I didn’t like was the hard, yellow, iceberg lettuce and it had a huge amount of dressing on it. Our entrées were the Shrimp with French Fries for my husband and I had the Grassfeed Hamburger with French Fries.
My husband said that shrimp was excellent and it did look good. My hamburger was extremely small for the price and very greasy, not juicy. So greasy that the tomato slid off. Also it wasn’t hot I wasn’t impressed.
When we were there this last summer the ladies room was a mess; this time it was literally a pig sty. I could easily say it had not been cleaned in days. There was an employee who was washing her hands in there and she went out and did nothing about it. I have seen overused Porta-​potties at fairgrounds that were cleaner.
Go elsewhere.

Seems to have gone downhill. Blooming onion was a bit burned but it took so long to get it we ate it. Ordered med. rare on two steaks, both rare. Ordered 1 steak med. well and it was raw. Son’s burger was cold. Waited 30 minutes for that? They were busy but service was still way too slow.

My husband and I came to Outback on 10/​27/​2015 for a special date. We have been taking care of his father who has cancer after moving from Grand Rapids 3 months ago, and haven’t had any «us time» in a very long time. Needless to say, we were incredibly excited for this planned date, and we decided on going to Outback about a week and a half before.
Our drinks and appetizer were brought with speed and absolutely delicious. We ordered our entrees, and I had been dreaming of a Victoria’s Filet topped with Blue Cheese crumbles. The last time I had this dish was about 5 years ago, and I was SO EXCITED! However, when we received our entrees, I was highly disappointed. My food was only lukewarm, and had no blue cheese. Easy mistake on the blue cheese– I work at Starbucks across the road and know that mistakes can happen. When I brought it up to the waitress, she immediately took my plate back into the kitchen to fix my filet. When she returned, there was MAYBE a ½ tsp of blue cheese on top. Seriously– MAYBE a ½ tsp. I asked her about it and expressed my disappointment, because I remember ordering this and having a beautiful mountain of cheese on top… This is why I ordered what I ordered. Instead of offering to grab me more, she simply told me that cheese was pre-​portioned and that was how they did it now. Again, I expressed my disappointment and THEN she said «I can take it back and give you another portion, if you want» as if it were a daunting task. At that point I was disappointed in her attitude, and I didn’t want my food to be even more cold than it already was. From then on, we saw her once before we got our check (which took 15 or so minutes after we had finished eating to get).
I understand that menus change, I understand that this server might have been having a bad day, I even understand the business of customer service. I was so incredibly disappointed in not only our food, but also our service tonight. We paid too much money on a special night for us to have the crap service that we did. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location.

4… Definitely not bad… slow for 3pm… waitress a little slow. It was just ok. It was really clean.

Haven’t been to this restaurant in awhile and won’t be going again soon. The 6 oz Outback Steak was tough. I thought I could get a decent steak here and was disappointed. It was also lacking flavor. The Blooming Onion was fantastic. Prices were high but I expected that but I did not get what I paid for.

Wow, waited over an hour in between lunch and dinner for even an appetizer! Our «server» Matt was less then even available! The floor manager Kyle made sure to completely avoid us but managed to make sure the table next to us got an appetizer less then 5 minutes after they sat, ours came out 5 minutes later which was after an hour after we had sat! Are you f-​ing kidding me? My husband wanted to walk out after we had been there 45 minutes. I don’t want free food or a coupon! I will not be back!

Service was decent… food was terrible. A steakhouse should now how to cook a steak. My medium steak arrived purple and undercooked. They took it back and cooked the heck out of it. I was left with a charred, leather –like piece of filet. What a waste. Three other tables, in the section we were seated, also had food taken back for various reasons. I learned my lesson, if I want a steak, I drive to Luckys.

Pretty good service. The chicken artichoke flatbread was delicious, and the strawberry peach sangria was awesome. We went at 4 on a Saturday and it was packed, we waited almost an hour to sit, so just be prepared to wait. We didn’t mind waiting — we got drinks and appetizers at the bar until we were able to be seated. Friendly staff. Good drink selection. The blooming onion was good, it was just a little spicy!

We had a great dinner tonight… Lots of attention with good tasting food! Service was good, appetizer was yummy! Beer cold and big. And when we had a minor issue (minor!), the staff was all over it! Thanks for a great date night!

I have gone to Outback for years, this meal was so bad I couldn’t finish it.
I ordered the Prime Rib and shrimp and crab. The shrimp was way over cooked and dry. The prime was over cooked and dry not to mention it was the very end cut and one side covered with a crust of pepper! The worst meal at an Outback I have ever had! AVOID THIS PLACE!

After driving through a torrential downpour and locally flooded roadways we were relieved to find our place for the night (Hampton) and less than a mile away this Outback. We had already decided to treat ourselves so we started off with him cocktails and a blooming onion. Our server was prompt and friendly and took care of us the whole evening. Haggy ordered the steak and crab legs while I enjoyed the prime rib and crab legs. In particular I enjoyed one of my sides a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing –it was very nicely put together and so tasty!

My wife and I hadn’t eaten at Outback in several years, and remember the food being very good the last time we were there — not so this time.
We both had the Outback steak special and it was extremely dry with very little taste. We also had a waiter with absolutely no personality. This was not worth the $ 40 we spent, and we will not be going back.

I came to Outback expecting a moderately-​priced, moderately-​good meal. The service we faced at the Saginaw branch was horrendous. Our party (with a reservation) faced a 45 minute wait. Our waiter was neglectful, forgot straws, and took an unacceptably long time to come to our table. On forgetting a salad, he suggested to my sister that maybe someone else at the table took it.
The food was horrendous. The Victoria steak (ordered rare) was cold, had visible tendons, and was drenched in horseradish sauce. The neglectful waiter told my uncle that they were out of steak sauce, on request. Three members of our family sent our meals back, finding them inedible.
Do not go here.
