This was the first time I’ve come to this restaurant. My friend who loves coming here when she’s in town always looks forward to coming here. So she brought us here. She(as the other 3 of us who came along) was very disappointed in the food and preparation. Apparently they have new management and new menu and new ways of cooking the food. She said this restaurant always was packed. But on a Saturday night, parking was easy to find and not many people there. The tea was watered down — she couldn’t drink it. Fries were nasty. None of us could eat the food. Tasteless. Looked uncooked. When we told the waitress our dislike of the food, she offered us another selection. We said no, all the food we tried was bad. We just wanted the check and go. She cheerfully said, ‘sorry your food was bad– have a nice day’… Really?! We will not be returning.

Wonderful atmosphere. Next to the beach. The Rubens with blackened fresh catch of the day are delicious. They are only available some days, unless the chef is ok with making them. He was more than willing to do it for us when we were there.

Local beach bar and restaurant on the beach. What did I have? Blacken mahi-mahi sandwich with fries. It was good but everything is good at the beach. That sea air sucks you right in and the smell of the ocean relaxes the vagus nerve. Now my dinner companion had a hamburger that was ordered to a hockey puck consistency. Can’t account for their tastebuds… Relaxing and fun time

I love beach comber. The atmosphere is awesome and the food had improved dramatically from a year or two ago. I like the buffalo shrimp tacos and the fries are a must. It can get pretty busy and parking can be a pain. If you live close by I recommend walking but they do have parking at the end of the road. Service is usually great but again it gets pretty busy so it can be a bit slow during rush hour. Overall, great place. Any time someone comes down to visit we make a trip to beach comber.

Amazing food and a beautiful place to eat. Eat on the deck overlooking the ocean. Waitstaff is very nice and quick. Appetizer: fried alligator tail with dipping Datil roumalade sauce. Very tasty. Entrée: grilled salmon with Gouda and bacon topped with tomato and avocado with jalapeño aioli sauce on artisan bread… Need I say more?!? This place is perfect!

Just left this place. Cant say much positive so you know what they say. It took 50 minutes for my food to come out. The manager said they average 45 min cause everything is cooked to order. Took so long we took it togo. The crab cakes were definitely frozen and way Sub Par. The fish tacos were totally gross. I threw them out. Worst place in Augustine

Nice atmosphere — service was ok — not great but for what it is it was fun. My mom had a chicken Caesar salad that she said was really good — my aunt had the buffalo shrimp tacos which she said was great & I had the fish tacos that were ok — nothing to write home about but ok. Picnic tables right on the beach and a place for kids to play in the sand. Relaxed beach sandwich place.

Crab cake was good. But beer of the month was as if a left over, non flavored. Kid friendly place by the beach. The fish tacos were plain.

Crowded on a Wednesday at 3pm, but not crowded enough to warrant the slow service. Pretty good shrimp but great guacamole. The staff wasn’t friendly save for one hostess(older blonde lady) who was very kind. We won’t be back, but it wasn’t a total letdown.

Slightly better than the average dive bar/resturant on the beach… A little tough to park — but the food was good, a nice play area for kids… you’re on the beach(not the greatest view, though — a small sliver of the water and cars coming on and off is all you see), and you can bring your dog… what’s not to like?

Really good food and cold beers on tap. Awesome to sit right next to the dunes. The parking lots fills quickly so be there early.

Loved it here! Awesome staff, super kid friendly with sandbox and toys, dog friendly, great beachside patio, amazing drink menu, and delicious food! Love love love this place!!! Kept my toddler entertained for a couple hours while i could supervise him as he was having a great time with the other kids, and I got to indulge in a couple of mimosas! Patty D was awesome and it was a Win/Win for everyone!

They have new owners and new items on the menu and the inside has been updated and looks great! I have been going here for awhile and have always loved it and still do. I must say the food selection is better now and the food is super tasty! However, I was disappointed they got rid of the New England Clam Chowder because it was my favorite!

Wonderful lunch great view quick and friendly service! Looked for a restaurant with ocean view and the beachcomber didn’t disappoint! The specialty drinks are tasty and the fish tacos were so yummy. We were visiting Saint Augustine for a cousin reunion and they were able to quickly accommodate a table for nine. So good we went back a second time!

Randomly found this place on Trip Advisor when my boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to kill time before we could check into our hotel. We did not want to leave! This place was great! Very chill vibe– there was a musician playing on the patio that overlooks the sand dunes and beach. The food and drinks were great too. The don’t serve liquor, but have a decent selection of wine, beer, and specialty drinks. The sangria was very tasty. I got two. Food was surprisingly delicious as well! I got the chicken tacos and they were the perfect combination of fresh ingredients and spice. My boyfriend got some sort of burger with shrimp on it which he loved as well. Overall, we are SO glad we found this place and would definitely come back in the future. Service was great.

Here in St. Augustine Florida the Beachcomber is where to be. It’s a rustic outdoor eatery. They sit right on the beach with walking access. Spend a day in the sand and water and walk over and have yourself a fantastic meal. I come here everytime I’m in St. Auggie. A few must tries are their Guacamole with salted lime chips. It is made with fresh ingredients and herbs and just enough lime. I could swear there was mint in it. It is so delicious. The Ahi Tuna tacos are cooked perfectly and stuffed with so much tuna it’s heaven on a plate. It comes with 2 tacos and a side order, we got the slaw. Its enough to feed 2 people. The buffalo mozzarella tomato salad with a sweet balsamic glaze is light and fresh bursting with flavor. Cocktails we had a Moscato pink lemonade with strawberries. It was like having a caribbean sangria. The cocktails were so good I had two.

My family and I had the pleasure of dining at the Beachcomber today! When we walked in we were greeted by our friendly server Chad and promptly seated, Chad took the time to go over the menu, the specials and recommend some of his personal favorites. We took his advice and started with the made to order guacamole, gator tail and the shrimp appetizer. For entrees we enjoyed the fried shrimp, stuffed mahi, baja tacos, fish taco special and the Cuban. We were not disappointed, the food was delicious, the portions were generous and the service spot on! If you want to enjoy delicious food in a warm, laid back, friendly atmosphere I highly recommend stopping by, you won’t be disappointed!

They get 5 stars. Had lunch today. The wife had their Florentine burger I had the basic burger. The house fries are the special ones with lots of crunch. The wife had coleslaw Pints are $ 3. Just a great St Augustine Beach spot at the end of A street.

Ok, you’re at one of the most unique restaurants, the Only one right on the beach in St. Augustine, and I order the Cuban sandwich? You bet! Be careful here, because it is so good, so genuine it’s really hard not to do it again next time. Under new, and loving, capable ownership, this gem is the place to go for locals and new friends alike. Great beer on tap, decent wine, excellent shrimp, quality burgers… You get it… and you will be back! Enjoy! Come barefoot or dressed nice you will be welcome and comfortable.

Wir kommen immer wieder so gerne hier her.
