I was looking for a good place to get a craft beer after 10:00. This placed promised a few on the menu. When I checked out the draft I was thoroughly disappointed with the selection: yuengling, Guinness, Stella, etc. It’s better than Bud and Miller, but not very creative. However, it seems cocktails is their thing. I didn’t try one. They’re probably great.

Very engaging bartender, Devin was his name, and the drink menu is thoroughly entertaining and equally delicious. It is off the beaten path a bit and was dead empty when we stopped in, prompting us to ask if they were even open. Evidently they just recently started opening early afternoon on Saturdays(its primarily knowns as an evening club/lounge) but I’m sure it will soon be a happening daytime spot. One thing for management and employees to note: according to the ADA– When it is not obvious what service an animal provides, only limited inquiries are allowed. Staff may ask two questions:(1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and(2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person’s disability… I’d advise this law be followed to a T to ensure the most welcoming experience for patrons with disabilities.

Very extensive and unusual drink menu. I had a Mai Tai and an Old Fashion that were both delicious. The bartender Scottie was friendly and informative. This is a great place to get out of the heat and enjoy a cool beverage. They use a lot of fresh ingredients in their drinks.

First I want to start by saying this place has a lot of potential for being fun with a classy and good dance vibes. What ruined my experience here was the bartender i am not sure if they are trained to be jerks but this one took the cake for the worst bartender I’ve ever encountered. The place was not severely packed where crowded service could be an excuse. All i know is that I was ordering drinks from him and right in the middle of my order he decided to go get someone else a drink instead not the worst part shortly after my friend orders shots and he catches an attitude because she said 2 vegas bombs and start saying«im not your servant» nobody implied nor said that we are asking for shots calm down bro but to finish it off he was so upset that he just passed the shots over and said take it. Pretty cool we got free shots but hey do your job im sure your manager didn’t want you giving away alcohol. In conclusion you can go at your own risk :)

Came here during the day when the bar was literally empty so we had our pick of furniture to sit on. The drinks were really delicious but the bartender was full of attitude and seemed pretty miserable. A more energetic and happy barkeep would have gotten this place a full five stars but service with a smile was not found here. Thankfully she made a great cocktail so the unfriendliness can be forgiven.

Thank you Matt for making our visit to Dos Gatos a great experience! Fresh citrus, craft cocktails, and indulging a couple of Portland, OR cocktail enthusiasts on their off-menu favorites and even a new one we haven’t tried. If you want craft cocktail this is the spot.

We stopped in for a drink and a rest. Our mixologist was Sir Davenport. Okay he doesn’t necessarily go by that but we were chatting about his family history and his last name is Davenport. His family was an original Mer settler to St. Augustine. Very cool. I ordered the orange jalapeño margarita and it was great! I loved watching him make it. Seriously folks pursue the menu and truly take in the splendor. There are many fine spirits and I was overwhelmed by the choices but decided for the margarita and it was a treat. It’s smooth with a sting of heat after each sip and I was licking my lips to feel the tingle. He did a superb job mixing it and I was delighted to watch him make it. It’s quite fascinating to watch the ingredients being mixed in. When I come back to the area, I will find a seat here to enjoy a tasty adult beverage.

Two girls walk into a bar… one asks the bored bartender to surprise her with a drink but don’t make it gin.(Gin makes her sick.) he pours a drink — the girl asks — whats that? Its mulberry gin. Sigh.

We took a local’s recommendation and went to Dos Gatos, we wanted to go to a bar that WASN’T touristy. The bar is large and has an upstairs that wasn’t open when we went. We got there around 9:30 on a Saturday night and there was already a DJ. I liked the music but it was VERY loud. I was surprised that a craft cocktail bar was that loud and that large. But they had a great cocktail selection and the bartenders were very nice and helpful. I would recommend checking it out.

Poor service, snobby staff too busy with personal friends to be polite to customers. Overpriced and attempts at being trendy fail miserably when it’s really just another bar with antique-y furniture.

They«lost» my credit card behind the bar, got it stolen. I stopped in with a group of 5 friends on 12/22/2015 for one drink. The bartender took my card to start a tab and when I went to close out 30 minutes later, the bartenders told me they lost it. The next day, the card was used at a local hotel for $ 110. They were either very negligent in the handling of my card, or they passed it off to a friend. Either way, avoid letting them have your credit card. Aside from that, the atmosphere was boring at best. The drinks were certainly overpriced for the area. You’ll have a better time at any other bar in St. Augustine.

We were there for the second time this Saturday evening. I really enjoy this place. There was a blonde bartender on the main floor who was amazing. They are more mixologists than bartenders. They will customize anything you want also. I had the red dawn made with rum instead of vodka as I’m allergic. The atmosphere is fun and the staff are all truly great.

We were walking through old St Augustine and just dropped in for a cocktail early on a Wednesday evening. The bar had just a dozen or so people but the atmosphere and décor was appealing and cozy. They have a large menu of handcrafted cocktails. I chose an Old Fashioned off the Vintage menu, the husband had they Orange Spice Margarita. Both were wonderful! Old Fashioned came with a square block of ice, one cherry and orange rind. My choice of bourbon was Woodfords. The margarita has jalapeño so you can choose how much spice you want. The husband choose spicey… evidently this is one of their most popular drinks. Bartender personable and cute young lady. We recommend highly!

I have been to Dos Gatos a few times & it is definitely a place I recommend if you are looking for a few good cocktails in St. Augustine. The bartenders know what they are doing and can make a mean drink. Everything is freshly squeezed as well. I ordered the moscow mules and they were delicious! Price is pretty average. My moscow was around $ 7.50 a piece & my bf’s yuengling was only $ 3. We went on a Friday night around 11 and it started to get busy the longer we were there. We found a seat right away at the bar and the service was good! They also had live music as well. Check this place out for sure; you won’t regret it!

What a welcomed addition to the downtown Saint Augustine area. I heard they had opened a Dos Gatos there, but took me awhile to get over there to experience it. Awesome place and frankly kind of enjoy it more than the OG downtown Jax location. Has a small dance floor on the ground floor with a bar and a DJ. Go around to the back right to find the stairs and get transformed into the red light district. Nice little lounge area to sit down or stand around and chat with friends upstairs. Also has a bar up the stairs and to the left. Still somewhat small, but surprisingly great use of space for this type of building in downtown Saint Augustine. Gets super crowded around 10:30 or 11 and on.

Pros: the girl singer and guy guitarist were awesome! Atmosphere was pretty chill. Orange jalapeño margarita was pretty good but could’ve been a bit stronger. Cons: bartenders sucked. There were 3 of them and two of them walked by our table more than once when we had empty drinks and didn’t even ask if we wanted more. Our last round we ordered was never even brought to us after waiting 30 minutes. Other people were being served and our table of 6 people who would’ve ended up with about a $ 250 tab had we gotten any service was completely forgotten about.

This is a great new place. Stopped in before dinner. If you like spicy, try the orange jalapeño margarita. Excellent. My wife had a drink Devon made, a Tom Collins cut with cucumber. Perfect drink for the heat. Nice job guys.

What a fun little trendy spot to grab some drinks, dance, and listen to music in St. Augustine! The former home of Rhett’s Piano bar. They did quite a bit to it! Looks great! The upstairs has a pre prohibition look to it with a small corner bar and the downstairs has more of a club vibe. The bartenders, Brynn and Riley, were very sweet and made some serious drinks for me and my party. We had a blast! I used to frequent Dos in Jax so it was a nice surprise to see one in St. Augustine!

Popped into this place and discovered it literally just opened this week! The friendly informative bartender told us the food menu hasn’t been set yet but the hand crafted cocktails were scrumptious!!! all the drinks were $ 8! My group of 4 all enjoyed our freshly made beverages! Loved the décor, exciting for Saint Augustine to have such a wonderful high quality drink menu that won’t break your bank!
