I created my own pasta, which is an awesone option. At first I was bummed because they don’t start you out with breadsticks, but it was included with my meal. We sat on the front outside patio(they have a back one too) and they had a live musician. Very cute italian joint.

A solid option for those looking for a broad menu of Italian items. We had a great server and were happy with our food. Happy Hour was a great deal — two for one drinks with a free slice of cheese pizza and $ 5 off any pizza ordered. House salad provided much-needed veggies in a town where that’s hard to find. Liked the chicken marsala.

Went to St Augustine for a girls weekend with my family to celebrate Mother’s Day. I am vegan and this place totally catered to me! They made me a huge, awesome vegan pasta dish and special breadsticks! We all loved our meals. It was the best meal we had in the 3 days we were visiting. I will totally be back and recommend to others!

Some locals recommended this place so we popped in and it was happy hour! We were pleasantly surprised with how laid back and summery it was! We sat outside, there was live music – a guy with his guitar playing vacation-y music– and B.O.G.O. Cocktails wth a free slice of cheese pizza for each person ordering drinks… It was really enjoyable. The pizza wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was free which was nice and the drinks and atmosphere were really good. Had we not already eaten we would’ve tried more food, but everything that came out to the other tables looked amazing. If you’re looking for a cool place to try, go during happy hour and see if you like it as much as we did.

I have to start by saying they have the best bloody mary i have ever had. They infuse their own vodks with flavors ans spice and it is amazing. It was a perfect bloody mary just as it was served. Walking around and got hungry and found this place. The bread sticks were superbly delicious, we had 2 servings. We had the chicken parmigiano with spaghetti and it was great. Our friends had the Italian salad and it was huge. The servings were plenty, the picture of the chicken parm is a split/shared plate. Definitely recommend this place, a full service bar and restaurant.

I came here for dinner after a carriage ride around the town with my mother, grandma and sister who are all visiting! The Lobster Raviolis are to die for along with the fresh homemade breadsticks! Drinks and dessert were great too! Will return when I’m in the area again

This is our 2nd time in Saint Augustine and our 2nd time eating at this place. It won’t be our last! The customer service is excellent as the wait staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is just amazing. Last time we had the«choose your own pasta» and it was better then we could have hoped for. This time I had the crab cake dinner and it probably was the best crab cake and sauce with it that I’ve had in a while! The dishes are so huge that I definitely recommend splitting a dish for just $ 4 more if your party can agree on what delicious meal to try! Just took a bite out of desert and the in house crème brulé is so delectable that you will be amazed. Plus my wife just fell in love with the tiramisu. Don’t think about«should you come here», think how fast can I get there! You won’t be disappointed.

We were in St Augustine for two nights and this is where we went for our 2nd dinner. Italian is an easy choice for us(with me being vegetarian and him being a carnivore) It was ok but would’ve liked some place with more ambiance for a Saturday night dinner for two in St Augustine. It is a casual, family friendly restaurant with bright ceiling lighting.(I also noticed that some supplies out in the open. open shelving by the kitchen and coming out from under the entry way bench, which looked cluttered) We were seated directly in front of the bathrooms… like 3 feet away from both the doors. There was another table nearby that was also empty so we walked back to the hostess to ask if we can move(why put people at the worst available table? It was the same waiter serving both). Our waiter was friendly and we had good service. We ordered wine, we received really tasty(sweet tasting) breadsticks. I’m not sure if they are ‘for the table’ or came with my boyfriends salad. I beleive he ordered chicken picata and I ordered a pizza. I remember enjoying my food.

Having grown up in St. Augustine, and enjoyed the good pizza here before — my wife and our 2 small daughters thought we’d have dinner at Pizzalleys yesterday(about 5pm). The problem started at the door. While trying to simply give our name to the hostess, and navigate the traffic at the entrance/host area — I found myself hugging the wall/door jamb, while waiting for the previous guest to be sat. Mind you I had made eye contact with the hostess and been acknowledged. So, as I am waiting at the entranceway– doing my best not to block the door, all of a sudden a big boned brutus lady and her pride of stampeders(kids) rudely go right by me cutting in line to put their name in. Not one care for anyone but themselves! Thus by the time we got to put our name in, there were no more tables available and there is a 20 min wait… Well that sucked a lot! I am acutely aware that there is nothing you can do about a guest that aspires to be a human battering ram, like the sow yesterday. But, the traffic pattern at your entrance leaves much to be desired. Patrons coming and going, servers and bussers trying to work, etc. Maybe its a dumb question but why not move the host stand onto the deck to the right of the door? I am not sure what an elderly or disabled person would do in the same situation. Anyhow, maybe we will try again some other time… Aviles Restaurant was delicious, bybthe way!

I didnt try anything else but the pizza so I cant judge for the rest of the food. I ordered the seafood pizza and I must say that I have had better pizza. Pizza was covered in some combination of cheese that was overwhelming. It was way too garlicky and for a seafood pizza, it only had shrimp. Not only this, my server wasnt even paying attention when my gf and I were ordering. She zoomed out while I was ordering my pizza. I am a resonable person so I let that go. I usually eat the crust of my pizzas as I think that a good crust makes a good pizza, however, i couldnt even finish it. My girlfriend had it worst, she found hair in her pizza halfway in. That was it for us. However, I must say that the manager was very reasonable, i told him that we just wanted the check and leave but he offered not to charge us for my gf pizza. He was open to our feedback and always kept a professional attitude.

The wife and i shared a pizza and it wasn’t very good at all. The crust was decent, cheese was alright, but the sauce was not good at all. It was too complicated, they use too many spices, it was overwhelming and not good at all. I would not recommend, we ate less than half of the pizza and threw the rest away.

Visited here over 10x and never had a bad experience. Today we went for lunch and they seated 5 people at a table for 4. Crowded and uncomfortable. Soup and chicken piccata were tasteless. Pizza was fair. Italian salad with shrimp wasn’t good. So disappointed. Used to love the place. Bummer. :(

While not being my favorite place for Italian food this place is pretty good their pizza sauce is tasty and breadsticks are good but not my favorite that I’ve had at an Italian restaurant. Service has been excellent and the atmosphere is quaint and intimate if you’re on a date. Definitely try this place if you’re looking for an affordable Italian meal.

Came here on a pouring down rain night in February on the recommendation of a local. Being from Chicago, we have very good Italian, but have to admit this was a very terrific cozy dinner place. I had a spicy shrimp Diablo pasta with marinara sauce on angel hair that was excellent, my wife did the shrimp scampi, a garlicky white wine sauce with a hint of lemon, that was also terrific. Both had ample fresh shrimp and fresh herbs. Waiter Stephen told us they make their own limoncello here and need to zest numerous lemons to make it, so they use the fresh lemon juice that is left over for the food dishes, including the shrimp scampi. It was wonderful. Of course, we needed to try a shot of the limoncello — also right on the mark. Definitely coming back — really loved the food and experience.

My mom and I ate here the other night, after receiving a coupon from the trolley company. After about a 20 minute wait, we were seated(unfortunately) right next to the restroom, but we were determined to not let that deter from our experience. We split an entrée of chicken marsala, which came with a choice of soup or salad for each of us. I had the minestrone, and my mom had the chicken tortilla soup of the day. Both were very delicious. The soups arrived with a basket of breadsticks that put Olive Garden to shame. They were life-changing! The chicken was so tender it could be cut with a fork edge. It came with veggies that were perfectly cooked, and not too soggy. We opted for the red mashed potatoes, and they were good, but nothing spectacular. Upon walking St. George street, the restaurant was sampling their pizza from the more informal pizzeria portion of the establishment, and it was also TODIEFOR. I intend to go and get a pizza before my trip here is over. The crust was crispy and garlic-y.

Stumbled upon this place during one of my extreme pizza cravings. Gave the menu outside a quick glance and decided to try it out. We were seated quickly at a table of our preference. Despite it being a chilly day, we decided to eat outside; the temperature was very comfortable thanks to the heaters. Our server quickly approached us and made some menu recommendations. We decided to order the mozzarella moons and a small pizza. The mozzarella moons(4) were much bigger than I expected. They were pretty darn good and I was pretty satisfied. Our pizza arrived right as we finished the moons(perfect timing, which I very much appreciate). It was smaller than expected but ended up being the perfect amount for the two of us. It wasn’t amazing pizza, but it wasn’t bad either. Just ok. What really stood out was the service — our server was really professional yet personable, quick, and attentive. He also gave us some great recommendations on what to see around town. Based on the food, I would rate this place 3 stars — average and not really memorable. However, because of the fantastic service, I’m adding an extra star.

we were drawn to this place by the free samples offered outside. upon our arrival, things seem to be well-run, and the food appears appetizing. It took over an hour to receive our food order, and the food itself, did not meet our expectations. The staff was unhelpful, and filled with excuses. Will not return again. Do not recommend.

We just finished dinner here. We waited a while to be sat, because one of the servers(cool dude with a pony tail) didn’t want another table in his section. After we were seated we waited almost 15 minutes for someone to approach our table to take our drink order. We were about to get up and leave when our server finally came. She apologized for the wait, and let us order our drinks along with food right away. The appetizers came out quickly and were served hot. We had the breadsticks and mozzarella moons. Both were very tasty. I noticed a slightly sweet taste to the bread sticks, but dismissed it as a fluke. My husband and I split a large half godfather half white pizza. We ordered spaghetti with a meatball for our toddler, and our older son ordered pepperoni calzone. The pizza was fantastic! Hands down the best pizza we have had since moving to the area last year. The prosciutto on the godfather was so crispy, and so good! The calzone, however, was not good. It was very greasy, and that strange sugary flavor from the breadsticks was very prominent. It was not just on one bite. It was covered in something sweet. It was so bad that we assumed it had to be an accident. Perhaps someone mixed the sugar up with the Parmesan. After reading more reviews, this is pretty common for this restaurant. About five minutes after we got our food my husband asked for the check and a box. I wanted to grab one more piece of pizza, and the server would not wait for me to grab it before she took the pizza to get boxed. She said she would be right back to get the pizza, and with our check. When she finally came back ten minutes later, she did not bring the check. She only took the pizza to box it up. After several minutes, she brought the pizza and the check. I had my card out ready to go, and she brought it right back. She asked if we wanted a box for the calzone, and we declined. She scoffed at us, and walked off. After reading previous reviews, mediocre service seems to be a recurring theme here for Unilocalers. Management usually comments back with something about how the customer should have addressed the issue, but I understand why most customers don’t say anything while they are eating. They are just ready to be done with the slow service and move on, as we were. We will probably go back, but we will avoid table service and just order from the back side of the restaurant.

I was strolling around the beautiful streets of St. Augustine when I found myself hungry. I decided to stop here real quick and was surprised at the extensive menu. My girlfriend and I shared some cheesy moon bites(like cheese sticks) with red sauce, they were great. We also had a indium sized oven-fire style cheese pizza to share, that wasn’t bad. I didn’t go all out trying out the menu, but these two things I had did not really impress me. Each plate was $ 10 so it was kind of steep in price, but this is a nicer place. The service was excellent, and our waiter gave us a few suggestions of the hidden gems around town.

When it’s cold and raining, a bowl of hot soup it’s just what the doctor orders! This restaurant its located in the main shopping street and it consists of Two parts the front of the store is a fast, pizza by the slice joint, and the back, divided by a long hallway, it’s the full service restaurant. We ate at the restaurant. Service was fast. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I just had a soup, which was piping hot… Just the way, aha, aha, I like it. And some breadsticks. Hubby had a full meal. Ambiance is the typical Italian restaurant, but it felt a little tight, too many tables for the space. Their happy hour seems to be good, I didn’t take advantage of it, but I would if I lived in the area. Overall an OK place.

This restaurant had okay Italian food and really bad service. The waitress took a long time to bring out our salads, soups and bread and when we asked about it she snapped at us — twice. My food(the lobster ravioli) was cold when I got it and it honestly was pretty disappointing. The pizza was okay, though, and the bread was great. There are so many incredible places to eat in the area, including Italian places. I highly suggest visiting those places before considering Pizzalley’s.

Still in search of my favorite lunch spot near the job. I get to sneak out every now and then and sometimes I just walk out. Today I walked and down St. George Street for something new. I had been to pizza alley once already and did see a sign for a real sit down restaurant. What the heck I needed to sit and veg for a bit. The menu is pretty large with all kind of foodie stuff in Italian. I decided to go with the shrimp scampi cause I do like pasta and shrimp too. But this dish was less then good to me. It contained so much lemon that it was almost hard to eat. The shrimp were also hammered. The starter for the dish I went with soup of the Italian Wedding kind. I wish I could have had a large bowl of this instead of the pasta. The bread sticks were really good too. I’m not much of a bread stick eater but this stuff was buttery and soft and warm and went really well with the soup. So maybe next time I’ll stop in the front of the house for a slice.

My father-in-law saw Pizzalley’s in one of the St Augustine guides we picked up as we wandered around in the rain yesterday afternoon. Hands-down, lunch at Pizzalley’s was the highlight of the day. The hosts were friendly and we were seated promptly(place was half empty, surprisingly). I don’t remember our server’s name, but she did a great job. She was warm and friendly, offering suggestions when needed and checking in on a frequent(but not annoyingly so) basis to ensure we weren’t lack of anything. House salad was standard, nothing to write home about; but their Italian dressing was awesome, way better than I anticipated. We got the ‘shareable’ size salad, though I don’t know what size that would be on the menu. Breadsticks were good, buttery and salty with a teeny tiny hint of sweetness to them, but again, nothing stellar. The pizza, however, is why I’m writing a review. I’m from Chicago, born and raised, so I love pizza and have probably tried every type imaginable. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when our pizza arrived with a hand-tossed but crispy crust. Mother-in-law and I split the special pizza, 3 Little Pigs, and it was divine. Their meats are delicious and the cheese is plentiful, but you can still taste their red sauce, which often goes overlooked. And the crust… Mmmm… The crust was seriously great. We got the 10″ and ate ¾ of it; it was perfect after salad and breadsticks. Father-in-law and husband split the 10″ Wonder Woman, which(to me) looked as spicy as would be expected. They really liked it, though, and ate essentially the whole thing. Hubby needed some ranch to help cut the spice but he really enjoyed the flavor of the pizza. Overall, highly recommend!

In my opinion, Pizzalley’s is the best pizza and Italian in St. Augustine. Outside of the weird hyperbole over Pizza Time, this is the place to go for pizza in Old Town. It has been a hot minute since I’ve been so this review will be brief, but let me tell you that the pizza is off the chain, the mozzarella moons were quite tasty and the service was really good as well. I haven’t partaken yet but I’ve heard the happy hour is awesome as well. Just writing this review is making me hungry, so I will be heading to St. Augustine soon for some ‘za.

Went for happy hour which is incredible. My wife and I had 4 drinks, two slices of cheese pizza and a whole Garbage Can Pizza for about $ 23. All drinks are half off, you get free slices of cheese pizza with drink orders, and you also get $ 5 the cost of a full pizza! You can’t possibly eat and drink like that for that price anywhere else. The pizza itself was pretty good; maybe not anything to write the newspapers about but worth what you pay for it. Our waiter was on point and brought our food and drinks out right on time. We ate inside which has kind of a half-lit relaxed atmosphere with a semi-loud bar background noise. If I’m ever back in the St. Augustine area, this place is near the top of my list to go back and enjoy.

The ambiance here is truly something worth experiencing. We sat in the outdoor seating and had such a fun experience. It’s so refreshing that we can come to a place and be fully acknowledged, respected, and more over– treated like family. From entering the doors to the entirety of the meal, I am very pleased with the service and comfort felt here. Throughout our meal we were checked on and re-filled, offered a discount because we had trolley passes, and even greeted by the nicest bus staff in existence. The pizza is not the best you’ll ever have but it is robust, has a perfect texture from the stone oven they use, and the crust is delicious too. Overall, everything is pretty over-priced but honestly, you have to expect it when dining in a small novelty town like this while on vacation. The 14 inch pizza is very large; we had it for leftovers twice. I would suggest ordering the smaller individual pizza to split and an appetizer, and definitely get the breadsticks. Sara was our server and she was attentive and sweet though she was dealing with some rude patrons(not us) and 3 other tables, she did really well. We would definitely come back.

The man and I stopped in to The Chianti Room and I instantly remembered that I’ve eaten here before– and loved it! We enjoyed $ 6 glasses of chianti, bread and Olive oil, and of course some delicious Italian fare. I tried the eggplant Parmesan which was out of this world. I didn’t have enough room for homemade crème brûlée which was pretty sad but my food was amazing. They even have a «make your own spaghetti dish» option where you choose the noodles, sauce, etc. The caveat is that though a few blocks away, Chiantis attracts a lot of the St George crowd. With that said, it’s worth the 20 minute wait and the waitstaff is very efficient. Our food came out extremely quickly. I love this place!
