We came here for wine and some dessert while exploring. Such a cute place in an awesome location, the service was great and the tiramisu was wonderful. We didn’t have entrees but sitting outside at a table by the street was such a great afternoon stop.

I almost want to say the food tastes like grandma used to make! We had pasta, meatballs, salad and one of the best red sangrias I’ve ever tasted. We had our lunch on the sidewalk since we were traveling with our dog. Unfortunately, the outdoor heater was not in working order on this uncharacteristically VERY cold day in January in Florida. The restaurant is located on what looks like a quiet street but horse dawn carriages pass. Not noisy, but bustling with activity which only adds to the charm of this street. We enjoyed our lunch and felt the meal was well worth the extra carbs. I don’t remember the inside of the restaurant as being special in any way, but I only went in to use the rest room. The server was friendly, efficient and accommodating and the prices reasonable.

Walked by several times, always people there. Stopped in for an early dinner. Wow! The house wine was served just the right temperature, the bread was hot, and the pasta with meat sauce flavorful. Quick & friendly service. We look forward to our next meal there!

I absolutely loved this place. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, and it has a very romantic setting. There is a nice view of the horse carriages passing by and the prices are not bad at all. Their tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had hands down and I was very pleased with our entrees which were the specials of the day. I highly recommend this place!!!

Absolutely love this place! The rigatoni bolognese is great! The portions are huge easily split between two people. It is set off the normal path in the historic district but stumbling upon it was an amazing find. The service was great the waiter was on top of anything we needed! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I happened upon this restaurant just off King Street in downtown St Augustine and am so very glad I stopped in. The décor is simple, refined and casual. Service is provided by one of the owners who works hard to ensure customers feel like guests, welcomed as though to his home. Now to the heart of this place: the food. I ordered one of the dinner specials, the rigatoni bolognese. I was not prepared for the robust taste and textures in this dish. The bolognese is a tomato based sauce chock full of meat — in this instance both ground beef and generous amounts of sausage. Also in the sauce: cut carrots and peas and stewed tomatoes cooked down with a blend of Classic Italian herbs and spices, some dry some fresh. The pasta was prepared to precisely the right consistency. The portion was easily enough for two people, though that didn’t stop me from enjoying every bite all on my own. In addition, I was served two fabulously crusty dinner rolls and oil based dipping sauce with spices and Parmesan. I paired a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon with my meal. Overall I had a delightful experience and I am so glad to have dined here.

Completely disappointed… The restaurant has an Italian flare, but is by far… authentic«ITALIAN». We were the ONLY people(should have given me my first clue) in the restaurant… and, 1) Extremely watered down Sangria w/no fruit within 2) Caesar Salad was all white Romaine w/very little cheese atop 3) I had to physically get up to find a server(mind you, again, we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant) …still, and ask for pepper. He drops off a little standard glass tube of pepper. Seriously, no fresh ground pepper at this«authentic» restaurant!!! 4) He then drops the food… We inquiry about bread??? He rudely and sharply replies«it’s coming». 5) Food was mediocre at best, poorly seasoned and lacking flavor; I had the Chic Parm, the wife had the Lasagna. 6) After a lengthy wait we’re finally checked on and ask for the bill… The finished plates were never removed during the lengthy wait. Yes, the server was too busy on the phone sitting inside the restaurant at a table only 10 feet from us. 7) The manager, not the server, then came out and dropped the $ 71.00 bill and I slightly angrily laughed. He asked how everything was… I then politely explained to him all of the above… His exact response, «I’m sorry Sir, if you come back in, I’ll try to take a little better care of you.» One would expect maybe an offer for a dessert, a drink, comp-ing a dish, etc. Something to ease the disappointed customer… Nope. Foodies of the World… I embrace Unilocal reviews because I genuinely care about food and experiences, I caution your visit there. Of the hundreds of times I’ve used Unilocal, this is my very first post… that’s how angered I was, and others need to know about this. I’m an extremely patient and tolerant person; our visit was unacceptable on so many levels!!! Good luck if you venture there and I hope your experience will be better…

Nonna’s was a random restaurant pick for us over the weekend. We stopped for the atmosphere and ended up having a fantastic time. My son is notoriously picky and he left full, happy, and covered in spaghetti. I could not have been happier. I highly recommend the rigatoni.

So glad we found this restaurant on our last day, or I would’ve eaten here more. It’s a little hard to find, as it’s located down a small side street off the main square. We debated between this one and another Italian restaurant a couple doors down, but thanks to Unilocal(and their rude owner) we ended up here. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I got the chicken parm and it was one of the best I ever had. I got fettuccine Alfredo on the side and it was a little bland, but the pasta was cooked perfectly. Service was great, and it had a family feel. Seating is limited, but it’s worth it. Prices were a little high, but I found them to be normal compared to other ones in the area.

The best Chicken Piccata, EVER! The kids are asking for seconds. Definitely worth it to enjoy the food and ambience while in St Augustine. I will be back!

I don’t know what happened to this place. We would come here once every four months at least and it would be all around excellent. The owner would meet everyone, food was excellent, service was great. Today was none of that. The waiter was nice but seemed new. I had to ask if they still offered bread and oil, which we didn’t get until the food was ready because he forgot. We were 1of 2 tables. Then the menu had changed but not for the better. The food was not on par either. This place was our go to for italian, but not anymore.

I noticed this offer on Groupon, but based on reviews decided to pass. Well, lack of planning on my part for dinner plans led me back here as many locations close early or are not open on Sundays. Anyway, the food was okay but inside was rather hot and I had a front row to watch the«chef» who was clearly pulling off our last minute dinners after a long, most likely busy weekend. I was close to leaving but stuck it out after watching other late diners meals being prepared. Wiping off sauce on edge of dish with a dishrag laying on counter, picking up food off the counter and putting it in the dish, openly saying«that’s all the pasta I have left… everyone survived and the chicken was cooked fine but I was not to confident going in. Pasta was ok but it felt old and reheated… Everyone was nice, quaint location and I get it it was end of a long weekend but I don’t think I would go back…

My family and I ate dinner here last night, and the experience was disappointing. Let’s start with the service, it took forever to take our orders they brought our drinks warm without any ice 3 of the runners were doing nothing but talking and laughing and not being attentive. Ok so now for the food, my wife ordered fettuccine Alfredo and the pasta was cold as if was brought out from the fridge and bland. I’ll admit the pasta al forno that I ordered wasn’t too bad, it was edible. My young cousin had spaghetti and meatballs also cold, meatballs dry and bland. In conclusion I know some of the reviews here are good maybe I came at a bad day but I do not recommend eating at this establishment. Plenty of better restaurants around that same area. Hope this was helpful.

Arrived to the restaurant in a party of 11 and the staff was very accommodating considering how small the seating area is. The atmosphere is nice but, the rest is pretty disappointing. To start, our drinks came out with no ice; my iced tea was room temperature. The 2 water pitchers we all shared was brought out and never refilled. Sangria was nothing out of this world. As far as the food is concerned… I ate the chicken parm with spaghetti and fettuccine. Everything was under seasoned, especially the chicken. The fettuccine Alfredo was cold by the time it got to me. Others in our group felt the food was cold by the time it got to them as well. The only menu item that was really good was the pasta al forno but, keep in mind every menu item is over priced for what you ultimately get. Finally, there’s the service. All I can say is that they were pretty disorganized, lacked attentiveness and took an unusually long time to get our checks to us as the place is very small and we did make it simple for them(2 checks). I would be more understanding if this was a huge, chain restaurant taking care of several tables but, it is not. All in all, based on my experience, I do not recommend Nonna’s as there are many other restaurants around serving better quality at a cheaper price. Look and feel is very intimate but, they need to step it up in the kitchen and with their staff.

Slow service but food is worth it. Bolognese yummmm. Also loved the caprese salad. Best sangrias in St Augustine! Came here on a food tour and back for dinner the same night. Great people watching if you sit outside too.

Beautiful atmosphere. Horse carriages riding by this small side street behind a1a Spaghetti and meatballs good. Grouper with capers for us a bit salty but they noted that immediately. Sinatra playing when the violinist not playing. Beautifully romantic. Fun memories for us and the kids.

The Italian food was pretty good. Not much on the menu because we were here for lunch. I had the chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. Wifey had fish and it was pretty good too. The female chef was real nice and made the home made sugo that was great for fries..

Amazing food! The best Italian food restaurant ever from the Chicken Pesto sandwich, Spaghetti, Chicken Parmesan and even the salad! The free Sangria with lunch was also a plus!

Ordered the Fettucini Alfredo. Don’t you make the same mistake. Stouffers FA is better by a huge margin, unless of course you like a watery and tasteless Alfredo sauce. Not all the freshly ground pepper in the world could save it. Service by a Flagler sophomore was excellent.
