i want to say that it’s my first time to a winery. I was scared I’d do something wrong but was walked through everything step by step by the kind man in the pictures if anybody knows his name. It’s seem to have escaped my mind and I’m not the one who kept his card! I’m not so much a wine drinker so I won’t know the first thing about it but I can tell you I didn’t make a funny face drinking the wine that day!(Who knows what I“m talking about?) We walked away with a wine membership and we’ll definitely be back for more!

I was in Napa with my son who is a club member with Floral Springs. We were treated very well and were able to taste all of the reds. Even the very expensive reds. The best wine for me was the 2013 Cab Franc. I ordered a case. Received today and shared with my wife. She loves the wine and requested that I order another case! Happy wife, happy life! The member, upper lounge area, is nice. If you are in Napa, I recommend you become a member and then enjoy the royal treatment.

Unexpected gem! We came because part of our tasting party was stuck in traffic and we needed to kill some time. We walked across the street from V Sattui(our original destination) to check out flora springs. We didn’t have much time so instead of a tasting, we opted to each get a glass and hang out on the grounds. First we sat outside and then we went to their beautiful upstairs lounge. The wines we had were surprisingly good(I had never heard of flora spring before). It was a little too early for me to drink reds so I opted for their Soliloquy(Chardonnay?) and it was refreshing! Friends got the trilogy which I also liked but at $ 28/glass, I had to pass. Will definitely check them out in the future!

Liked the whites, but not so much of the reds. Decent cave to check out, nothing fancy, didn’t do barrel tasting either. It’s a nice estate and has a decent view for photos. Tasting for 4 – 5 wine was about $ 20.

We had heard great things about both the Flora Springs wine as well as the tour. We spent over 3 hours enjoying the wine and property. We had such a great time with Scott who’s hospitality was second to none, his wine knowledge and hospitality was amazing and very much appreciated by my Wife and I. We can’t wait to visit again.

One of the best boutique wineries in Napa! we joined the wine club here and love the shipment schedule, we get 2 bottles every other month rather than 4 bottles a quarter. It gives us something to look forward to every 60 days and it comes as a surprise! I took my teams here for an offsite and we had a blast here — the grounds are beautiful and so are the wines. highly recommend!

Out of all my stops while we were in Napa, Flora Springs was the most surprising as I have never tried any of their wines previously and no one has ever really recommended them to me either. So I went here ‘blind’. Let me just say, I was extremely happy we came here. We went to the actual winery and not the tasting room located just off the St. Helena highway. We had an appointment for a tasting/tour. The property itself is set up off the main drag about a half mile. The property is quite large with a very inviting tasting room. This is a nice place to take a lot of pictures. First and foremost, Karl, our host for the tasting/tour was absolutely fantastic. One of the most engaging, friendly, passionate and knowledgable person we have met in our many trips to Napa. Just listening to him talk about the winery and the family gives you a great feeling. The winery offers plenty of variety for many palates. We tasted their Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Trilogy, Bodacious, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. We were then treated to visiting the caves to do a barrel tasting. Carl allowed us to taste a Cabernet that had been aged just about 1 year and a Cabernet that was almost two years in barrel. It is always fun, for me anyway, to barrel taste and see the progression of the wines. After completing our tour, we were looking over the other wines that were available. Since we are not a shy group, we asked if we could try some other wines. Karl graciously open and poured us some wine for us to try. Loving what we tried, we purchased some of these wines. I cannot comment on the tasting room itself on the highway, but if you can, make an appointment for a tour/tasting/barrel tasting with Karl. If you want to visit a place that is not snotty and just down to earth, this is a great place to go! We will be back and looking for their wines going forward.

It’s Halloween time so their front of the building is decorated with spiders and pumpkins, and even inside they have decorations and skeletons and all. They said they are a «Ghost winery now» but they change decorations with the seasons, which is cool. It’s a breath of fresh air in an area where most wineries look the same, so if you like themed wine tasting this is the place for you!

Stopped at Flora Springs Winery as part of a three vineyard tasting tour. Of the three, this tour was hands down our favorite. Extensive time was spent in Flora’s caves where the temperature drops to just the right temp for the aging of the wine. Great enthusiasm and knowledge from our guides and great wine from the caves. We’ll be looking for Flora Springs on our local wine lists back home.

We came to Flora Springs on the first stop of our Platypus Wine Tour. Carl, our guide and wine expert, was knowledgeable, energetic, and friendly. The views of the Flora Springs vineyards and the winery itself was so picturesque. We tasted 5 wines for $ 20, took a stroll through the cave, and saw some of the bottling process. This place is not only a quintessential Napa Valley winery but also has a great story behind it. Definitely recommend this as a stop if you’re on a winery tour; it was our favorite on the trip!

Wine(***** out of *****); I’m not much of a wine drinker and all other wine of the same type just tastes alike to me. Basically, anything over $ 10 a bottle is good wine in my book. However, when I came here, I was blown away by their wine. It truly DOES taste different than other wines. I did their wine tasting and my favorite is the«Trilogy». It lacked tanins but was still full bodied, yet not overpowering and smooth. A total joy in the mouth! Service(***** out of *****); The most generous pour of all the wine tastings I’ve been to. The guy was very friendly, knowledgeable about Napa wines, and chatty in a good way. Atmosphere(***** out of *****); Unpretentious yet classy. Very nice, yet casual. I could totally chill here. Conclusion(***** out of *****); Loved it here! I went to many Napa wine tastings, but this one is my fave. I couldn’t do a Unilocal review on all of them because my phone ran out of juice, but I’m glad I was able to take pics and check in here because I wouldn’t want to miss Unilocaling about this place. It was THAT good ;o)

I have come to Flora Springs two more times in addition to my initial visit in January. I have loved this place more and more and have recommended it to anyone coming to the area. Overall, beautiful spot run by great people. Earlier this year they added an upstairs outdoor patio area where you’re able to take a glass of wine and lay in the beauty of the view — have spent some hours up there during my more recent visits. Their service is top notch, nothing snobby about this place, just great wine and knowledgeable friendly hosts. They have an assortment of wines and excellent blends. :)

We were on a winery tour with Platypus Tours and were lucky enough to visit Flora Springs Winery. Look there are many incredible wineries in Napa, but not all of them have a story. Flora Springs is about more than wine. It was built as a testament to a woman who was independent in an age when women weren’t supposed to be brave and strong. Flora Springs is a love story… a love of a husband and wife… a love of family. Go for the wine but mostly go for the story of Flora. We enjoyed the beautiful tasting room, we enjoyed the caves, we enjoyed the wine, but mostly we loved the pictures of Flora and learning all about the birth of the Winery. Now when we go to one of our favorite restaurants in Reno, I order a glass of Flora Springs and think about the woman that inspired such a great wine.

This was a nice little winery. Was lucky enough to enjoy everything Flora Springs Winery had to offer. I would never have even thought to stop by this place. It’s easy to recognize once you have been there and seen the outside but not so much if you are driving past it and looking for wineries to stop and taste. The employees were very nice and friendly. Willing to help and answer any questions. The wines were very good but one stood out the most. As others have said the Trilogy is the star of their selections. Even purchased a bottle because it was that tasty. I liked the décor and the private section upstairs that I was able to enjoy and relax. This winery reminded me of something from the flintstones show. Nice architecture if you are in to that. Come check it out!

Flora Springs comes in second place for my FAVORITE winery! It’s just straight up beautiful… Enough said? Nope I’m not even close to being done. I came here with a couple friends since we were in the St. Helena area and I have been hearing so much about this place. They hosted a Unilocal Event in the beginning of June and because I had such an amazing time I had to come back again! When I walked in I was greeted by the lovely gentleman also known as the Wine Educators: Corey H, Dante S. and Serf B. I even got the pleasure of meeting Kristen J(Tasting Room Manager) she is so thoughtful and totally gives all the credit to the wine educators! They did such a great job making me feel welcomed as well as showing explaining some history about their lovely winery and giving me a grand tour. This winery is perfect for all different type of parties and wine events. They have two different rooms inside the winery for private events: ~The VIP Lounge Cave Room– Designed for private parties and private tastings. You can enjoy an exclusive library wine and a choice of tasting flights with a VIP Lounge Charcuterie Plate! ~The Rooftop Lounge– Located upstairs is beautiful! I was stunned to see the amazing views of the surrounding vineyards. You can also view the Mayacamas Mountains as well! Perfect for work events and parties as well! Flora Springs is actually named after the lovely Flora Komes. Flora Springs is known for their 3 signature wines: Trilogy, Sauvignon Blanc«Soliloquy Vineyard“and Barrel Fermented Chardonnay. They also have their«Winery only Wines» such as: Poggio Del Papa, Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio where you cannot find anywhere else but this winery. WINETASTINGS: Flora Springs advertises two amazing wine tastings. ~Great tasting signatures: $ 20 you get a chance to taste 4 different Napa Valley Wines) ~Preferred Palette Flagship Tasting: $ 35 you get a chance to taste single vineyard Cabernet from 3 different appellations in Napa Valley plus one of the flagship wine Trilogy! If you become a member you will be able to get into tons of amazing events. The owner is really big on the month of October so this winery goes all out for Halloween time! This is a MUST when coming to the Napa area not only is it beautiful but the wine here is amazing!

Have to share some Flora Springs love after a super cool Unilocal event I attended. Walked in as a stranger, but they treated us like royalty with great food/wine pairings. HAD to leave with a sweet bottle of Merlot. This place looks rather small as you’re driving by it, but it’s absolutely worth stopping for. The grounds and facilities are cozy and picturesque.

I was at the Unilocal Flight Club on Sunday at Flora Springs. This was a great event. Beautiful tasting room and property. Very warm and welcoming. Kudos to the staff for a great event. The Chardonnay is very tasty and the Sauvigon Blanc is a great quaffer on a warm day.

Located on the west/left side as you drive north. Once you park, you can walk north to a deli to soak up the delicious tastings of wine. I’ve been stopping off here off and on for more than a decade. Always good pours! This time I sampled the Trilogy, Merlot and the Bodacious. ALL really really good. I still have a 2004, 2005 and 2006 Trilogy in my cooler plus a Holy Smoke 2010 and Wild Boar 09. Yes… I’ve been a club member three times but not current so this review is unsolicited and unbiased. Always sample/drink responsibly.
