Being born and raised in NJ I can honestly say I never heard anyone call it Jersey style. I feel like this is NY style pizza at its best though. this place does one of the best jobs in this city doing pizza the way I like it. They also have another taste of home, Taylor Ham! Taylor ham is to NJ as pork steak is to St Louis, you don’t get it anywhere else. In response to the poor service comments, I have only had the best experiences when I go here!

Just got it today, and prolly the best NY/Jersey style pizza joint in Saint Louis. Light on sauce, heavy on flavor, just how I like it. Definitely give them a try!

It’s not St. Louis style pizza, it is Jersey Style pizza. So it is not for the faint of heart. It is a true east coast pizza. The crust is house made and in not cracker thin like the typical STL crust. It is hand tossed, chewy and full of flavor. In addition to making their own dough, they make their pizza sauce from a family recipe. If you’re going to do all that, you might as well go all the way and use real 100% Mozzarella Cheese. The slices are cut pie style and can be folded in half for easy eating. The bottom of our pizza was crisp, making it obvious it was baked in a brick bottom oven. It made it for easy handling. I was able to pick it up for a big bite. We started out with the 10 piece Buffalo Hot Wings. They were heavily coated in hot and spicy buffalo sauce. To make the serving easier and neater at the table, they come with a small set of tongs. Must say, that is a nice customer service touch. After munching on our wings, we over estimated our appetites by ordering, «The Boss» one of the speciality pizzas. The Boss, is a gigantic 18″ pizza topped with; pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and black olives with a touch of garlic. The pizza was fully covered edge to edge, with all of my favorite toppings. We both loved it, but each of us could only eat two slices each. We ended up having enough to take home for both of us to enjoy the next day for lunch. I’m a big fan of cold pizza and The Boss did not disappoint. It was as good cold as it was piping hot. The Patch is becoming a hot little neighborhood with Feraro’s and its across the street neighbor, Stacked STL. If you can’t get in to one, go to the other. When: August 25, 2015 Why: Dinner

The first few times I went here the food was great. I also did a couple deliveries of pizza. It was awesome. The pizza tasted fresh. The cheese was not greasy which led me to believe they were only using mozzarella. The sauce was just enough spicy. This last pizza though was very greasy. You could tell that another cheese was added… a yellow cheese and the sauce was very bland. I hope they aren’t changing their pizzas in favor of cheaper ingredients because if was so great before!

I wish I could give them a half star… 2 hours from order to delivery??? WOW completely unprofessional!!! On top of that $ 50 for 2 large pizza and garlic bread? Your good but not that good… The lady on the phone said«it’s going to be over an hour» but I had no clue it would be 2 hours. FYI if you are so busy that it can’t be delivered within 1 hour tell them. D-bags you lost a customer here.

:fist bump: to Feraro’s So, this was my first visit to «The Patch» area. It seems pretty cool. However, we were cold and hungry so we didn’t explore. Feraro’s is a decent sized pizza joint. It is comfortable, casual, and a decent place to eat pizza, grab some drinks, and watch a game. The staff was friendly and efficient but didn’t hover. To start the bf had wings, 10 pc @ $ 9, and I had a small house salad $ 5.50. My salad was basic but good and filling for a small. The bf said the wings were good standard wings. We also ordered a Jersey style medium 14″: $ 12.50/each topping: $ 2.50 with mushrooms, black olives, and onions. The pizza was tasty and the cheese they use is excellent, I think it’s mozzarella. The toppings seemed a little skimpy and not quite spread evenly but that wasn’t that big of a deal. The crust was a little crisp on the outside but soft in the middle. It’s a little on the thick side for me but pay no mid to that because I like my crust THIN. We will most def be back and you should totally check this place out.

How have I not discovered this place sooner?! This location is less than 2 miles from my house but it took a recommendation from a foodie friend who said it’s one of her fav places. I checked out the Unilocal reviews(as I religiously do before dining anywhere) and off we went to try for a date night. The location is nice. When you walk in, it looks like a bar but turn the corner and there’s roomy booths with large wooden tables. We ordered Garlic Knots for an appetizer and a medium pepperoni pizza to share. The good: The food is delicious! The pizza, while my husband noted pretty cheesy(though isn’t necessarily a bad thing), was pretty close to perfection. The dough, sauce, chesse, and toppings tasted fresh, hot, and delicious. The garlic knots were also hot and yummy. I love me some garlic and these delivered. Prices were reasonable. The bad: Our food took awhile. It wasn’t very busy, but it took about 25 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. Our pizza came about 10 – 15 minutes later. The sauce for the garlic knots could be better… it was kind of thin and runny. I prefer a thick and jelled sauce. Overall, a delightful find and we will be back. I’d like to try pizza by the slice, take out, and more. Perfect spot for a pizza hankering that is close to home.

Pizza again? It’s a favorite for quick casual dining so no wonder there are so many styles and twists. Feraro’s certainly earns their keep. Good pie, clean restaurant, and friendly staff. Bar was a bit under stocked as the crown royal seemed to have somehow been dethroned before we arrived, but the pizza more than made up for it. Telly apologized for the drinks, and offered some suitable alternatives. Give these guys a try if your braving the neighborhood. I will certainly be back.(packing) pizza to go…

Great pizza. They always have pizza by the slice. Wings are good, meatball sliders and salads are always really good. You are able to go in get a couple slices of pizza and a couple of beers real quick. All the bartenders there are always friendly and Jenny is a good time to hang out with.

It seems Feraro’s has ironed out the kinks that caused me to reduce their rating: the extras and order specifications are being followed, included and delivered, so they’re back to a solid 5 stars. Phew, now I can return to consistent orders of their delicious pies. Thanks for working on things Feraro’s! I so missed your delicious food while we were having time apart. I just can’t quit you.

I have been a big fan of Feraro’s since its inception in Soulard. My first time at the Ivory location we dined inside and enjoyed the same delicious pie we’d come to know from Soulard. The latest experience we called ahead for carry-out slices. Although we were told 20 – 25 minutes, from past experience I knew that was being generous. Still, we were in the restaurant within about 20 minutes of my call and then only had to wait an additional half-hour for our 4 slices. While the pizza is worth the wait, I never appreciate a kitchen, especially one with only a handful of customers, that act as if a call-in order might no-show so they wait to start the order when you’ve arrived to pickup? At least that what it seemed like. Whatever the case, I’ll go back but they’ll never get that 4th or 5th star until they fix the back of the house.

Nice roomy interior. Great place to watch the game. They have 3 big tv screens. Really good east coast style piZza. I love the crust it is home made. The sauce has a really good classic taste to it. I liked the mushrooms, did not care for the sausage too small of pieces and not flavorful. The staff is really great! Could not be better! Overall a positive addition to the neighborhood.

Last time I had this pizza was at the old soulard location. I was excited to try the new place out this past week. When we walked in the place was very big and a lot cleaner than the old location. We waited for a while before someone greeted us at the door. This was not a very good first impression but I let it slide. Finally when we sat down we ordered the GARLOCKNOTS!!! You need to try these. The knots are by far the best thing on the menu. For dinner we ordered half pep/sas pizza. The pizza came out very hot and fresh. Overall this place is really good and the garlic knots are worth the drive everytime.

I would like to give Feraro’s a 3.5 star! Its not quite a 4… but its not a 3. I have been to this location a few times now. I LOVE the atmosphere! Great building great set up bar area vs cozy private booth area. A MUST have when you are there are the garlic knots. They are very tasty. They are sized just right for about two to three pulls of the knot and a slight dip in the marinara sauce. The serving size is perfect for two — four people depending on how many you want to eat! :) I have tried a couple styles of pizza Veggie(no mushroom) Great! Love the toppings/cheese/sauce ratio. Barbecued Chicken with BBQ sauce as the base and added smoked bacon. SUPER! The chicken had just a slightly not fresh taste. I was guessing it came from pre made frozen strips? or maybe they prep and freeze them in advance? I am guessing here… I just know they were about 10% off in flavor. Or it was a unique marinade or seasoning. The crust is good but a bit tough for my liking. If you would like to go on a date, and have a nice slice, personal, or split a pizza and sit in a semi-private booth This is a GREAT place and a great neighborhood to do this!!!

I am originally from the Northeast part of the U.S., and am always on the lookout for eateries that offer east-coast style pizza, with a tomato sauce that contains a little bit of a garlicy«bite» and that uses mozzarella cheese rather than Provel(a Saint Louis staple). A good friend recently told me that Feraro’s offered the closest thing to the«real deal», so last Sunday afternoon my son and I were close by and decided to give them a try. Bad decision. We arrived at 5:25pm and were told by a friendly woman(who later turned out to be our waitress) that we were welcome to sit anywhere we pleased. We chose a table on the restaurant side. At the time, we were one of only three tables that was occupied in the entire dining room. Although several other employees passed by our table, our waitress did not come by to greet us and take our drink orders until 5:40. She did not return with our drinks(one soda and a glass of water) and to take our order until 5:55. Our pizza did not arrive until 6:45, a full FIFTY minutes after placing our order. At no time did anyone come by and explain the delay. To make matters worse, when our pizza DID arrive, one look at it told me that it had been sitting somewhere, as it had that look a pizza gets when it has been out of the oven for ten to fifteen minutes: the cheese starts to dry out on top, etc. The pizza itself was ok, not a masterpiece but not horrible either. It had minimal tomato sauce(it appeared as if it had been brushed on rather than ladled on) which resulted in a «dry texture» when eating a slice(I went through three glasses of water). The dough was obviously fresh and made on the premises, it had a nice texture and had the right balance of flavors. Getting the waitress back to the table for drink refills was much too time consuming, in the end we walked out of the building at 7:30, more than two hours after entering it to have a pizza and a non-alcoholic beverage. Unacceptable. Every diner can run into poor/slow table service, and I am cutting Feraro’s a little slack on my rating given that this particular location hasn’t been open very long and they may be still working out the kinks. What really disappointed me was the pizza itself, the whole reason for our visit. It had been left out of the oven(after being cooked) for far too long. We will come back at some point down the road and give Feraro’s another chance, but I won’t be killing myself to do so. What a letdown.

Hallelujah! Carondelet has a GREAT new pizza place that it can be proud of and let’s face it. Carondelet needs a great eatery. Located in the former home of Mama Gustos, Ferraros relocated from it’s long time home in Soulard to handle the growth. They make fresh pizza and other delectable goodies and they deliver. I’m reading some of the other reviews to see people writing«used to love this place, but they made a boo boo on my order during their first week open in the new location and now I’ll never go again.» Wah wah! We all know that every pizza place in town will deliver a cold pizza once in a blue moon and we hope that it won’e our order. But, customer service, and consistency is what matters and Ferraro’s has it, Expensive? Sure, but everything is made from scratch without the standard refrigerated dough and you can tell. I luv their deep dish pizzas and the restaurant itself is nicely decorated, They also offer killer lunch specials. So happy they are here. Yum!

This is the third restaurant I“ve been to in this location. First the Riverside Café, then Mama Gusto’s, now Feraro’s. They didn’t do much to change it from the Mama Gusto’s arrangement, but there was no need to — nice big booths, a pretty comfortable setting. Perfect for a pizza place, really. We’d only been to the Feraro’s location off Tesson Ferry, which is tiny. This is a big step up. Although it’s not hard to find, this location is off the beatn path. Almost nobody will just happen to pass by, unless they’re out to eat at Stacked Burger Bar across the street. It’s very close to the River City casino, which is always crawling with people. Not sure how much that helps if 95% of them leave with no money. We had a very good experience here. We’ve always liked their pizza, and once again it didn’t disappoint. I compare it to Dewey’s — good stuff. I don’t rate it exciting or extra special, but it’s a very good hand-tossed pizza and the crust is light with just the right crispness. More impressive was the meatball slider appetizer. Two good sized sliders, which were delicious, plus(strangely) a side of fries for just $ 4. It was plenty for a meal. We also got a side salad, which was fresh and tasty. Based on the meatball sliders, I’m excited to go back and try one of their sandwiches. Service was great and they have a nice bar with a couple of big screens. As an added bonus, there were tables open at 7PM on Friday night. If you live anywhere near the south side, be sure and stop in.
