This location has become a type of a landmark over the years since they redeveloped this small little shopping center and built the new building many years ago. It’s easy to get into the parking lot and get out and parking is usually not a problem. My parents and I started coming to this location since it shortly after it opened, and continue to go there. Their prices are reasonable which attracts many retirees who come for lunch and dinner many times a week. Their customers and clientele are a wide variety of people because their prices are so much more reasonable that some of the other sit down and get served restaurants. It’s a typical cafeteria set up that is usual for the U.S. and slightly different than in Argentina which I got used to when I was there. But with that said, I have always like coming here over the years partly because of the workers who worked there and because of the food. The food isn’t anything fancy or exotic; it’s the type of food that someone might cook in their own home. There are daily specials that they have along with the regular choices and a large choice of salads, too. They have beef, pork, chicken and fish, along with at least six choices of veggies on a daily basis. It’s about as close to home cooking as you might get from a commercial kitchen and establishment like this, so that’s part of why I like it. The other thing that I like about it is that the prices continue to be reasonable when many other places are so much more expensive because of the economy. That alone for me makes it worth it. I will return. One other point: CASHONLY.

Old fashioned cafeteria; not many of them around anymore. If you are under 70, you are likely to be the youngest person in the place. Its clean and the staff is friendly, but more importantly, the food is good and its a great place to grab a fast lunch if you don’t want to choke down a fast food meal. They run a daily $ 5.99 special; today it was Salisbury Steak; was quite delicious, the kind of stuff my grandma used to make; the special comes with two hot sides — I chose Mac & Cheese, which was very good, and green beans that were slow cooked with pork of some sort that were also quite delicious. I added some cole slaw for $ 1.50; very creamy and tasty. For desert I had a piece of cherry pie, that was probably about the most delicious I’ve ever had; came to $ 1.95 with tax for it for a giant piece. So for under $ 10 I had a delicious lunch; was in and out in under 20 minutes. If I happen to be in the Warson Woods/Rock Hill vicinity at lunch again, I won’t hesitate to stop here. Wouldn’t make a special trip though, but if you are near, and don’t mind the geriatric clientele, its worth stopping in.

I have driven by this place for a while, and always wondered what was going on inside. I finally stepped in and was pleasantly surprised. It’s cafeteria style. You point at prepared servings and they hand them to you. The food is pretty tasty, but the price is too high for what you get. I will consistently pay $ 11-$ 14, and leave hungry. I wasn’t unhappy… just hungry. An example of what I would get is: A medium size piece of fried cod A small bowl of fried zucchini A small bowl of mac and cheese(needed salt) A 1⁄8 slice of chocolate pie Drink Total: $ 11 Now, that’s not bad, I know, but when it is absolutely stuff I can make at home for half price and save gas… then I would rather stay home. I mean this in the best possible way. For the elderly crowd who don’t want to cook in bulk or just want someone to cook for them, this place is perfect. If you frequent Miss Sheri’s you will find that’s the clientele that they are designed around is just that. There is nothing wrong with it, but it’s not my cup of tea.
