LOVETHISPLACE!!! We were expats living in Malaysia and loved the Indian food and have missed it so much since having moved to STL. We came to Signature India tonight and EVERYTHING was authentic and delicious! Very Clean! Extremely friendly! Excellent service! Great portions! Very reasonable prices! I can’t say enough!

Discovered this place by chance. Excellent Hyderabadi /south Indian cuisine, specially the dosas, vadas etc, chilli chicken and chicken 65 also pretty good. Kebabs not that great. they make Indian style pastries, and rolls which are excellent and very enjoyable specially for people who grew up in India. Service not so great and it started as kind of fast food with a few seatings but now have expanded.

I was there a few months shortly after they opened. I went with a group of about 10 people and pretty much everyone liked what they ordered. I ordered shrimp biryani not having had it before and did not like the fact that it had way too much rice compared to proteins. I ended up bringing home a lot of uneaten rice. At the time, they did not have a liquor license and we could have brought our own, which we did not know ahead of time. However, our server opened a bottle of wine and served it to everyone who wanted some, on the house. It would be nice to know if these policies have changed. Will definitely try it again.

I am in deep fascination about this place. I mean indian and pastry, really? Really! I made a mistake of eating lunch before I want pastry, more sadly, I found this place on Unilocal that has a weird combination of indian food and restaurant. Must visit! So I dragged hubby and my full belly and swung by the place. The place interior is a little more too modern and bubble for me to figure out what type of restaurant it is, but sure it intents to cater to younger generation. Well nothing is wrong with that. Since we didn’t actually order the food, I can only speak for my pastry purchase experience. We got the vege and chicken pastry, a mango mousse and a black forrest cake. Cost about 12 some bucks. Not exactly cheap. Vege pastry is supreme! Nice pastry and very delish filling which is curry based. Chicken is so so, it’s always too dry for me if you use chicken breast. Mango mousse is very refreshing, but black forrest was just okay. Not real fresh cream… I am curious to give it another try. With the mix feeling about the bakery side I would’ve given the honest feedback of 3 stars. Yet the audacious concept of blending indian food into pastry deserve a big thumb up.

My new favorite place in St. Louis. I’m glad I don’t have to fly out to San Francisco to eat a good dosa anymore.

We just moved to St. Louis from Bay Area and were desperately looking for a South Indian eating place. The food here is simply awesome, potion sizes are BIG and the staff is very courteous. This restaurant exceeded are expectations as we had tried different Indian restaurants in St. Louis and this seems to be the best of them all. Will definitely come back here. Only negative thing I can think of is that the prices seem to be high, for example the Masala Dosa was almost $ 10 and I feel it’s. Altitude too much price for the Dosa.

I am a south Indian and who is by default a very big fan of spicy and flavorful food. Went for both lunch and dinners here. No a very good place for date nights but excellent place for spicy food. The best items I found here are Rice: Bisi bele bath and keema bhiryani Curries: Gongura Chicken/mutton, Chicken pepper fry Lunch specials are so tasty and huge quantity for a very less charge. Its more than enough for one person. I love the Pastries here. They are sweet, they are colorful and taste delicious. If you haven’t tried yet please do. you wouldn’t regret it. This place is neat and the owners and workers are so friendly. I would highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner.

I should give 5 stars but can only give 4 because it’s in a strip mall. Hey, I have to leave some room for the«niches» and«Ritz carltons» of the world. But as far as overall satisfaction, this place is a 5. Possibly rhetoric best Indian food I have ever had… and I’m from the east coast. I base my experience on food and people and less on ambiance because anyone can spend a million bucks on ambiance… but service and quality dishes can’t be bought so cheap. Anyone who enjoys authentic Indian food served by positive, happy people, then give this place a try. And no… I haven’t been paid for your review… again…something a million bucks can’t buy…

Went for lunch today and had Butter Chicken with an order of plain naan. I easily have enough of both to make two meals. Great portion size for the price — very good value! I can’t handle a lot of heat(spicy) in my food, and the Butter Chicken they brought out did have some, but it was not over the top and quite pleasant. I would highly recommend this entrée to anyone. And you have to get naan to soak up some of the amazing sauce! They had interesting lunch combos that came with quite a variety of food that my friends got, but I’m oh-so-happy I ordered what I did. Would definitely return.

Had dinner here last night and this was my second time in. The food was delicious I had vegetable samosas for a starter and onion pakora as well. And the entrée was chicken tikka masala. The chicken was so tender. Very large portions we also had garlic naan. Everything was very good and as a treat they gave us free desert to take home. Very nice. The downside is when we walked in they had two very dirty tables and the place was empty. They don’t off any beer and my husband likes his import beer when we have Indian. It’s not fancy but cleans tables is a must. Won’t stop me from going again but that’s where they need to step up there game. Should definitely give it a try.

Picked up carry out for dinner for me and my boyfriend. We got the chicken tikka masala which was amazing! I always order this at most Indian restaurants and this was definitely the best one so far! We also got the goat curry due to the reviews on here– the meat was good(thought it was not boneless) and the curry was good, but very hot! I would definitely come back and try their other items. The place is half pastry shop and half restaurant, so it is pretty small. It was definitely more like a casual/family dining place rather than somewhere you’d go for a date.

Came in for lunch and we ordered 2 masala dosas. We were 3 people and two was definitely enough for all 3 of us! We even took a little home with us. The dosas are big!

Food is good even though it is lacking consistency. Bakery section is really good. Here are my reasons why I am giving only two stars. Honestly this place deserves better rating other than the reasons mentioned below. There is a bald guy with spectacles(glasses) and moustache who is at the counter most of the time. He is not at all good dealing with the customers. Crappy attitude, dont answer the questions properly, arrogant, was not even interested in billing the customer when the customer offered to pay for the food ordered. The worst part is the baldy was chatting with the other folks who work there and forgot to hand over the food to the customer even though the food was ready to be given for a long time. I had to go over the counter and ask for my order repeatedly. No customer wants to spend money to get this kind of service. Hope I dont have to deal with this idiot again if I go to this place again. All the other folks who work there are nice.

The chili gobi is awesome. The goat vindaloo was perfectly balanced betweeen tanginess and spice, the garlic nan was salavatory and the tikka masala was a perfect balance between creaminess and spice. .back.

Food is good. Ambiance is nice. They also have a bakery section and a separate dine in section. We tried Paneer tikka masala and some south Indian eggplant dish. seemed like both were cooked in the same gravy. garlic naan and methi naan were awesome. Quantity of rice that comes with the main course dish is very less. giving it one less star only while comparison to Saffron restaurant.

Discovered this place by accident while furniture shopping. Walked in and was somewhat confused as to what this place. When you first walk-in you’ll notice that it is somewhat divided into two parts. Left side is bakery and right side of the restaurant your causal dining area. Although they will seat you where there is an opening. Appetizer — We got Chicken 65 it is a very tasteful/somewhat spicy breaded thinly sliced chicken. Reminded me of chicken tenders but WAYWAYBETTER and not even close to chicken tenders you get at chain restaurants. Entrée — Goat curry with naan their traditional bread. The food was very good, hot, flavorful and fresh. Dessert– My favorite part. We ordered the pistachio pastry, mango pastry and the chocolate pastry. I was lucky enough to sample all three of them. Every single one of them was VERY soft and moist and extremely fresh. They bake them everyday. These are not Indian desserts by the way. You could tell by the staff that this place is family owned and operated. Everyone was kind, friendly and very polite. Gotta say I wish we had this type of customer service at chain restaurants. Anyways, they also take cake orders for special occasion etc if you’re interested. If you’re in the area you should visit them. The service was quick and the prices are in-line with other Indian restaurants in the area. I will definitely be visiting them again in the near future. Enjoy. Hope you have a lovely experience.

If you are going to judge an ethnic restaurant based on whether the clientele is mostly made up of that ethnicity, than this is the place. The owner is super hospitable and the food was very good. They also have a bakery which was interesting. If you enjoy Indian food this is a place to try.

The first thing that came in my mind, very very poor service. the server, may be didn’t know how to smile. We bought some pastry from the pastry station, and I guess it was the owner who was so lazy to receive money from me. He had to call another server to settle our account. The food was different and infact very tasty. We ordered couple of dosas and those were giant size dosas. With some side condiments. Every item was flavorful perfect seasoning and very very spicy. The coconut chutny that came with the dosa was very nice. Me and my wife shared a goat biriyani which was also very spicy very nice aroma, rice was cooked perfectly. I might try the restaurent one more time to try some other items but after that no more. When we spend 40 – 45 dollars for a meal, with food we also deserve some service.

Weird and Awkward! That is how I felt while dining here. Communicating with the wait staff was difficult also. The servers where not very friendly and seemed tentative. We had to ask for everything; refills on our drinks, napkins, our check. They seemed bothered because they had sat down at the table and were talking to each other… That aside, I asked for my Chicken Vindaloo to NOT be very spicy. It tasted very good but, it was VERY spicy. This is the reason I needed multiple refills. Perhaps this was a cultural thing because many of the reviews from the Indian population seemed favorable but if this restaurant is interested in appealing to American diners who expect at the least a modicum of personality, adeptness and finesse in their service they are going to have to step up their game. Their are many other Indian restaurants in West County that have great food and good service.
