I was excited for Indian and decided to try something new(it was conveniently located next to my daughter’s music lesson) but was very disappointed in the quality and flavor of the food. We tried the Naan(fine, average), the chicken Tikka(weird and unpleasant flavor), butter chicken(not great but the best of the lot), and vegetable Korma(which appeared to be in a curdled sauce). Save your money and go somewhere else(there are much better options nearby!)

By far the best Indian Buffet in St. Louis that we have had so far. Awesome goat curry and chili chicken. Worth driving 45 minutes one way.

Having lived in Hyderabad for more than 20 years, and tasted some of the best delicacies in the land of Biryani city, I must admit this place does remind me of home. Everything about the Biryani they serve here tastes perfect. For instance, the basmati rice is well cooked, the gravy isn’t too spicy, and most importantly the spices are so well distributed that it takes your taste buds into a smooth roller coaster ride. To get the best experience, please try it with sweet and salt fresh lime sparkling water.

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We ordered Vegetable Pakora and Vegetable Samosa’s and both were very good. The Pakora was not quite what we were used to in other Indian restaurants, but it was fried very nicely, not in the least greasy. The Samosas were very slightly spicy, which was also a nice change of pace. Neither of us eat meat, and there is an extensive Vegetarian section, which I appreciated. This restaurant might not be for the complete novice when it comes to Indian foods, but it has a nice variety of dishes for anyone familiar with them. The waiter kindly warned us that an Eggplant dish we ordered was normally very hot and toned the spicing down to medium for us, which was just perfect. We ordered an Eggplant dish and Shahi Paneer, both were very good and appropriately spiced. We enjoyed our meal there and will be back. It was also a pleasant atmosphere and the staff was friendly too.

The lunch buffet is great and the dum biriyani is spectacular. The lunch buffet has tons of varieties and even free mango lassi. Also, special shout out to the south Indian dinner buffet on Thursday.

Been here for Saturday buffet and had terrible experience. Food doesn’t tastes so great. Still you had to wait a long time for each and every food item. Items in buffet are very limited. I wont suggest this restaurant.

Wasn’t fresh, kind of old, not enough choices on their menu. Friendly staff, lots of room. Give it a try.

First time to eat here today. The most authentic Indian cuisine in the STL area. The use of spices and well seasoned dishes ensure my taste buds a round trip to India. I will be back even though I live one state over.

We(group of 5) went for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were meeting after a long time so were catching up over food. Restaurant was empty when we got there, but filled in quickly later. Good: Mango lassi was pretty standard. Chilli Chicken appetizer, chicken chettinad, malai kofta and chicken 65 biryani tasted good. The raita that comes with the biryani was really good. Butter naan and garlic naan were SUPERB. 5 stars for the naan. Bad: The coconut chutney that came with the idli tasted funky(had a cigarette smell?). The idli itself was cold and not soft. They should rename their goat biryani as bones biryani. None of the goat pieces had much meat on it, just bones. We also got the shahi paneer. The paneer pieces were tiny and fried so much that it had become hard and chewy. Paneer is supposed to be soft and melt in your mouth. (?) The serving dishes that main course came out in were HOT — as in burn your hands hot. Not sure how that happened(sitting on the hot plate too long?). We had difficulty passing the dishes around. Service: Ok for the most part but seemed rushed. There were some quirks though. Midway through our meal, the waiter tried to take away the malai kofta dish from our table even when there were two pieces of kofta left in it. Also at the end, we were presented the check even before everybody had finished eating. Really? Do you want to kick us out? Are we not welcome here? Then, the same waiter tried to whisk away my plate even though I was eating… as in I had naan in my hand waiting to scoop the chicken chettinad on my plate. Hahaha… that was a first.

Beware. I’m not Indian, nor have I been to India. Having said that I have eaten Indian food in five different countries, two continents and I’ve eaten at nearly every Indian restaurant in the metro St Louis area. Maybe bone in is how Indian cuisine is normally prepared. Approaching the buffet my friend and I both put a same food on our plates. If you believe the post it note on his side it was chicken curry, my side argued it was goat. I’ve eaten goat curry, but I now know it was chicken. I know it was chicken by the bones I nearly swallowed. I ate about one quarter of a plate of food before I gave up. I had more bone on my plate than meat. Tandoori chicken, sure. Curry chicken swimming in sauce bone in no. After I nearly swallowed a sharp toothpick shaped chicken bone I flat out stopped eating(no there are no knives available to separate the meat and bones) . The kicker is nobody cared. I’d been inside less than five minutes before I piled my utensils atop my plate of buffet bones and insisted the server take it all. It just seemed that everyone was used to customers being disgusted. Don’t go here. Its flanked by much better Indian food options on either side of Manchester. Unless of course the ultimate in Indian dining involves bones in everything. If that is authentic Indian I’m sad to report the naan was bone free.

Went Saturday afternoon for the buffet… and it was awesome. Good variety and not just the same stuff every buffet has out. More options than most and all had great flavor; nothing bland about it. This was all quality food, not dumbed down, buffet style. The service was also great. Drinks stayed full and everyone was very nice. We’ll be going back for sure. My highlights were the butter chicken — it had great flavor and some nice spice to it, best I’ve had in St. Louis, and tandoori chicken — seasoned great and cooked perfectly, every Indian restaurant has it, I know, but this was a step above most. Also, there was a goat dish on the buffet, that’s rare and a nice surprise.

I am such a regular here for the lunch buffet, they ask me if I’d like my usual table. I really enjoy their food and the variety. I am not a big biryani fan so I can’t speak to the quality of it even though this is their specialty. The mango lassis and chai tea are super pluses for me. The staff is very polite. I have been to the vegetarian buffet on Thursday nights and found it to be vegilicious. I discovered new foods that I now search for during their lunch buffets. I wouldn’t count this as my all-time favorite Indian restaurant on St. Louis, but it’s close. I pass three others just to eat here!

Service here is always excellent. There’s plenty of great tasting food. I always take some home. We get different dishes and share bites. What else can one want?

Worst Indian Restaurant in St. louis area. Ordered biryani with high hopes of good taste it is like Chili Rice never feel biryani taste not even minimum biryani looks like. I am sure this not made by Indian chef. Second ordered butter naan full of stones and sand while eating. I was on the way near to this and just tried, sure this will be my final and never prefer again and anybody waste of money. Very bad experience total food wasted kids even not able to eat.

This is a good place. Appetizers – Paradise fish fry and cut mirchi are excellent. Goat dum biriyani is good(I would not give 5⁄5 but it decent compared to some other places in St. Louis). Chicken chettinad is superb. Service is good and made us feel welcomed.

This place was just okay for me. Not necessarily the restaurants fault, but my own personal tastes. Usually we go to Saffron for our Indian buffet but the husband and I have been trying to make an effort to eat at new places. First of all, everything was spicy to me. I known Indian food in general is spicy. But why is something called lemon rice spicy? And since when has chicken tandoori been spicy? I specifically get these things when I go to Indian restaurants cause I don’t like foods that are very spicy. So if they’re doing it different I personally believe they should put a sign or something saying it’s spicy. The only thing that wasn’t spicy was the butter chicken, which was good. Mango lassi is awesome loved it. And I liked that they had actual salad with dressing instead of just a bowl of tomatoes. For people that like spicy food this place is great, but for me personally I won’t come back. I will stick with Saffron and I suggest you do the same.

Let me put it this way — if you are looking for a good biryani in St. Louis, there are plenty of really good options from West County to O Fallon suburbs. Even home catering outfits make a decent biryani if you know where to go. So for a new restaurant to come into St Louis and claim they make the best biryani around, it better be spectacular! From the 2 stars I’ve given this place, it’s obvious they are far from being anywhere close to it! We visited this place during Father’s Day lunch and had a terrible experience. But what prompted me to write this review was a catered dinner event that I had at a friends place where the food was provided by Paradise. The quality of the food was a travesty and if it were me, I would take it back to this restaurant and demand they get out of the food business. Horrible food prepared by someone who appears to have been given instructions over the phone in a foreign language! Of the 3 main dishes that were ordered, the base curry all tasted the same and the only difference was one had meat, the other had paneer and the third had a hodgepodge of vegetables throw in! This would have been okay if it actually tasted good but it appeared to be stale chicken, paneer and vegetables that were defrosted to make a mess! The experience at Father’s Day lunch was a little different. This time it was a $ 13 per person lunch buffet that had literally nothing left in the buffet at noon. People were made to wait outside for an hour and once you were seated, it was another long line at the buffet waiting for someone to refill the dishes. Of the dozen or so items on the buffet we may have got to try about 4 which we had to scrape off the bottom after waiting in line for at least 30 additional minutes. The owner was genuinely apologetic but he seemed to do nothing about stopping people from coming in despite the food being over! This place does not deserve to be around and ride on the success of the original Paradise restaurant in Hyderabad(they claim no affiliation to this chain!). If these guys need to survive they have to get their act together and not rip off their customers. St Louis deserves better than this!
